“Who’s the director? I’m working overseas for my next couple projects.” He’s not necessarily a fan of working away from home for extended period of time. But it’s not like he’s got anything serious going on in his life right now.

Simon listens carefully, because he is very interested in the new system. He understands the love for old school film making, but at the time, some things are just bad now, and mixing old and new is the best way to go. That’s why his set designs are in demands, because he can make wonderful things with very little. “You really should make a whole presentation for this Vincent. I’d be happy to build you something for a demonstration.”

"Frank Marlow. I've heard good things through the grapevine. Probably a good bet that he'll be open to new techniques over the current one I'm helping." Vincent took the device back gently from Simon. "I'd be more than happy for the help since you're offering. We can go over the details later though. Where are you heading if you don't mind me asking?"

"Never, ever." She smiled and walked in, closing the door behind her. She walked over to the table and put the things down - containers of grilled steak and mashed potatoes and broccoli. There was also a container of lasagna, and of course, desserts.

"Who doesn't love impromptu dinners with a friend in a messy room?" She teased, putting the utensils out. "How have you been?"

Vincent was not expecting so much to be in front of him. "This is looking less like lunch and more like dinner now. I thought it was more leftovers than a full meal."

He took everything, though he took an obviously small amount of the broccoli. Definitely not one of his favorites. "Been pretty good. Plenty of work to go around, but nothing too heavy. How're your things going?"

It was a weird city sometimes. He made a mental note to look up the guy so he was more aware of whatever was going on with him. Because this had to be in a file somewhere in the Police archives or the Dominion. He did feel a little bad for making fun originally. Since Felix was never the type to 'punch down' with his humor. He nodded his head, committing to the lie, "It's usually a dance with people in a small group in fancy dress. Acting out scenes." He tried to get the lie at least a little closer to the truth. "I'm off-I mean- Constable Roy. Nice to meet you Vincent. Um, sorry, sir Vincent."

"Oh! I think I understand the slang you're using now. So you mean actors of a play. I didn't realize they had a knew word for stage performers. I assure you I am no thespian. Don't have a knack for it."

Vincent waved his hand at the correction. "No need for titles. We have now met, so Vincent is fine. Just be careful on your patrol. No doubt the villains pulling the strings have plans to send their dark creations to haunt the fair people from the shadows even with their direct work has been so recently repaired."

Delilah laughed with Vincent, covering her mouth and muffling the sound slightly before he was placed on the speaker. “Something added to the list of interesting werewolf facts. Clothing is not safe from destruction.” She teased drying herself as they talked, listening to his options. She paused for a while at his last suggestion, before deciding she didn't want to think about work for once. She was slowly learning she needed to enjoy the moments she had away from the hospital. “Hm…Options One and Three sound interesting. However, I think Option Three sounds much more romantic. Plus, I've been itching for an excuse to see the waters of Covaire.”

She dropped her towel and grabbed her phone before heading to her bedroom. She placed her phone on her makeshift bed before opening a box full of clothing. “Anything specific you have in mind for attire? Cause I doubt my birthday suit is suitable for a boat ride.” She teased as she giggled softly.

"No it is not. Or safe from getting lost when you don't always know where you were when you had them on." He walked towards his closet to pick out a nice flannel and some clean khakis. "Birthday Suit is definitely tempting. But I really feel like you're not the kind of girl who's one with the ways of naturism. Not that anyone would stop you from coming without any if you wanted. This is Covaire after all."

He then grabbed a belt and a pair of new boardshorts. He wanted to make sure the swimwear was stowed away on the Seawolf now that she was seaworthy again. "Alright, I'll make sure to get some things onboard before you get here then. Nothing too fancy for clothes. Just casual and light. And a jacket if you tend to get chilly. Bring a bathing suit if you want to go swimming. The typical stuff. Got any food preferences?"

"Just wanted to stop in and bring you some lunch," Ellie smiled, holding up the bag of food. "That is, if you're hungry. Otherwise, I guess... maybe I won't scare you away with me stuffing my own face." She had met Vincent on set. She was making quite a name for herself in the television industry, but she tended to shy away from fellow actors. Most of her friends were behind the scenes.

They shared more in common with her.

She was given a warm smile. He normally didn't make many friends around Coviwood. Not that he didn't like people, he just usually was busy helping with so many of the sets around the studio. So he usually didn't have many relationships other than his pals outside the studio. But Ellie had just had a way of growing on him.

"A wise person never turns down a free meal." He cleared a spot on the couch for her and coffee table. "Or time with a good friend who doesn't mind a bit of a messy room."

After the buzz from his win died down, Mathias was able to walk about Coviwood like normal. Sure there would be a flash from someone's camera or phone just beyond his peripheral but that was normal. They could take their pictures, he just wanted to get some work done. His work today involved finding some help for the next movie. Mathias liked to build up all the team they would need before doing anything else. He knocked on the door frame and smiled, "Hello hope I'm not bugging you".

Vincent tucked the bookmark back in between the books pages. It was something he was used to. It was part of being the technician he was. "Mr. Cain, I assure you that I'm not one to get bothered by someone wanting some of my time. Congratulations on your film by the way. Watched the awards from here while I was running some lighting tests. Something you need from me?"

Looking at the other man's badge, he smiled "Nice to meet you, Vincent." It was a different experience, mulling around where the creation happened. Watching the filming was one thing, but it lacked what could be gained from touching real objects and examining what they'd bring to the final product. Tom liked to think that his creation would do much the same job, adding extra touches that couldn't be brought by acting or effects. "I like to think this is the beating heart of the production," he replied. "It helps to get a feel for things before the filming finishes."

"Well, movies and theatre can't go on without the infrastructure and staff in the shadows. We do create the field on which the actors play. Simon and his crew do most of the set work, I just make sure the lights and cameras are doing their job. But I get paid well enough and enjoy what I do, so it makes me happy."

Felix realized pretty quick that this guy was actually crazier than an out-house-rat. And adjusted his response. Since the guy wasn't a danger to anyone or himself at the moment. He cleared his throat and shook his head, "Nope. Nothing new you need to worry about good sir. I thought there was going to be a... new dance in the town square but I was mistaken. The LARP dance. Very new. You probably wouldn't have heard of it."

"I see. Very good. Would be a shame if more vile creatures were to hound the fair people of our fine city. And LARP is a dance, you say? I might have to look into this new dance. I do love to move with the music. I'm Sir Vincent of Cartorra. And what do they call you, good sir constable?"

"Certainly," he agreed, holding up his badge with an affable smile. He didn't mind the request. In fact, it was fairly reassuring that people were taking the security rules seriously. "Perhaps I should see yours, too?" he joked, although he wouldn't mind learning who the other man was and what he did. Stepping into the room and moving instantly towards the larger objects that were being crafted. They had caught his eye first.

Vincent understood it was a joke by the man's manner, but he still held out his own badge. Then he refocused the majority of his attention on his book. "So, Tom, what brings you back here? Looking for anything or questions in particular?"

"Mind if I look around?" Tom asked politely. He hadn't expected anyone to be here, and he would leave if his presence was unwanted. "I promise I won't disturb you." With that addition, he looked past the stranger into the room, at the growing collection of props connected to the movie he was working on. It was Tom's way to immerse himself in as much of the production as possible. Not involving himself, but observing and consuming for inspiration and so he could write something that would better enhance the 'world'.

"Knock yourself out. Just don't mess with any of the electronics on the far end of the shop. But first, can I see a badge?" Standard measure. Just because someone was on set, didn't mean they were supposed to be wandering without proper I.D. And Vincent definitely didn't want to risk loosing his job if something got messed with by someone who shouldn't be in the shop.

Break Time Spoiled?

There wasn't anything on the schedule today for another few hours, so Vincent was back in small workshop taking some time to himself to catch up on one of his favorite book series'. So he wasn't exactly expecting a knock on the doorframe.

"Need something?"

Ah! So this was who was responsible for the suddenly cooler light. Truth is, Simon doesn't bother with the brighter spotlights. But only because he makes sure the material used can take the heat. But these are quite nice for smaller scale lights. "I've been wondering why it was getting a little less tropical weather lately. We'll keep this between ourselves. Although, if you have something for the big spots, I doubt you'll receive much complains, unless they need more juice to work—which I doubt." Simon always values perfected work. This is an example of it. "Anything else like that up your sleeves? Cause really, if you invent a new light bulb for big spotlights, Broadway will make you a rich man."

"I have a few others I'd like to try. But I'll wait to expose more of them until the next project that comes through here. I hear the director for the next project is much more open to non-traditional ideas. Love to invent and experiment, but I also love my job security."

The young man flipped a few of the toggles to show Simon how the sample test operated. "This one controls color. This one is your directional control. That's for brightness control. And this one here... is for interfacing if we ever were allowed to use lighting programs versus the manual control boards, so it's not currently functional unless I use it on some practice sets in my workshop."

"Hey Si, check this out. Not that I think the director will want to use it for the spots, but thought you might appreciate this for your set pieces since we're doing a rainy scenes in the next month." The lighting engineer handed Simon a small light control remote.

"Been messing with some of the spotlights on set because the one's he's calling for are great, but you can practically cook an egg on them. Plus the they aren't exactly the kind to play nice with moisture. So when we aren't filming I've been swapping them out for these nifty waterproof leds with light filters. Figured, I'd set up a small test and see if it was something your crew might be interested in."

The brunette was standing in her shower, letting the water stream down her body as she closed her eyes. The steam clouded the glass doors of her shower, the warmth of the water giving her a sense of comfort her lonely apartment couldn't. Her mind drifted to a dark place again, and she couldn't stop it. She almost jumped out of her skin when her phone rang, startling her out of her thoughts as her hand moved from the scar on her shoulder. She opened her eyes, wiped the glass, and glanced at the bathroom sink. She was surprised to see Vincent's name flashing on the screen.

She wiped her tears away and rinsed off any remaining soap, turning off the water quickly. She stumbled out of the shower, grabbing her towel and wrapping it around her body as she cleared her throat. She then picked up her phone and answered, a smile gracing her lips as she heard his voice. "Hey Stranger..." Her voice was soft as she spoke, smiling as she continued. "That's alright. I figured it was best to give you space anyway. Since I saw you naked before the first date."

She giggled softly as she said this, trying to joke around with him. "I actually have the...'night'...off. Plus, I owe you a date. So...What do you have in mind, Vincent?"

Vincent laughed. "Well, you and anyone else in the Launderette. Clothes don't exactly stay on when you shift. Or if they do, they get shredded. As for the date..." He pretended to hum and think about it before giving her some options.

"Option 1, we go have a nice dinner and a movie. Option 2, dancing and drinks at VIP. Option 3, we go out into the bay on the Seawolf and spend an evening off the coast. Option 4, you get to do that brain scan you wanted."

Felix saw a lot of shit in Covaire so beyond a small quirk of an eyebrow at the man in full armor his face didn't change too much. But it had drawn his attention. He nodded his head slowly as he was called constable. And he knew he should keep his mouth shut but he couldn't stop himself from saying, "It is. I missed the memo on the LARPing flash dance taking place today. But have at it. Just wanted to make sure you were doing alright. Since you know, most people usually leave their chainmail at home."

Vincent gave the man a inquiring look. "Why would I not be fine? This land has been peaceful since the last time the evils of the world assaulted us. And what is this LARPing you refer to? Is there a new beastie the Guild has not made her public aware of that I need to know about? Lady Warr did not notify me of any new entities..."

Vincent was inspecting the finishing touches on the rebuild of the boat that he'd initially been apparently delivering as the attacks hit Covaire. And as he was signing off on the last inspections, an alert he set for himself that morning went off with a phone number he'd apparently gotten and called before as his other self. A number to a cute doctor he'd promised to contact the next time he had one of his good days. Call Delilah.

He made sure to excuse himself from the shop and get a shower before dialing, smiling as he heard the line get picked up.

"Hey stranger. Sorry I haven't had a chance to call you as myself. Hope you're not too busy to go out while the Knight is away."

"Well, the Dominion was holding last I checked, so they're fine if they're inside already. Probably worried sick about me since our call got cut short when I shifted against my will over on the East Side. No thumbs." He chuffed a bit as he showed her his paws. Some humor to lighten the mood. "Can't argue with the doctor."

"Probably wasn't comfortable to shift against your will. Seems you and Israel had the same reaction most wolves did." Delilah smiled softly as he tried to lighten the mood, using one hand to stroke his fur. "You better not argue with Dr. Angel. My name may sound innocent, but I can be quite strict." She joked, looking away from him, looking out the glass doors. She was still on edge herself, but Vincent made her feel calmer than she had when this all started. She eventually turned back to look at him.

"When this is all over...I really hope you'll still call me from a new phone..." She bit her lip slightly. "I have to thank you for saving my life after all."

Vincent started getting drowsy now that he was relaxed. And the petting felt nice. Mostly. She there was still the occasional spot that got brushed that was burnt, but nothing unbearable. “Never. I listen to medical professionals. Well, when I’m me at least. But you aren’t a psych ward doc, so you have nothing to worry about.”

As his eyes shut, and his breathing relaxed, he chuffed. “Count on it. And that date once things settle down around here. Sure you’ll want sometime after the pack almost made you a chew toy… I’m buying…” And then he was out, snoring slightly as he shifted back naked as a jaybird.
