she always went to parties! it was a great way of getting out of the house and she got free alcohol, with a side seat to any drama that might take place. her hands were moving all of over the place as she danced, probably annoying anybody close range if her hands hit them. eventually, dancing by herself got boring and she went searching for a dance partner. her eyes spotted someone by themselves and skipped over.’’danceeee with me??’’

SOPHIE BRADSHAW wasn’t normally a drinker but thanks to her friends who managed to drag her out here, the normally goody two shoes was DRUNK thanks to her being a massive lightweight. “Tanner!” Sophie gushed, clumsily hugging the other, cheeks tinted a rosy pink, “I actually…didn’t come last year.” In fact, she NEVER attended parties. “So I guess you’ll just have to tell me if it’s better or worse than last year.”

hazel hues linger between the opposing blonde and the fence, before scrunching her nose up in disgust. “oh sugar, rule number one of the hills: always protect your most important asset which spoiler alert: is your face but, if you wanna fall be my guest. i ain’t a gambler so, i’ve got nothin’ to offer you. but do it anyways, please.” the please came out more condescending then intended so she covered it with a perky smile.

to say she had no self control was an understatement. one drink instantly turned into five, and that’s how most nights went for vienna. the voice caught her by surprise. “oh my god, did i just discover the good time watchman?! i’m great yes. like on a scale of 1 to amazingly epic, i’m definitely the latter.” she laughs, words messily trailing together. “better than ever yes!” raising a cup in return, she takes a huge gulp. “what about you? i think it’s only fair to ask.”

Oscar could tell the other was observing the surrounding areas, and he didn’t mind too much. He remembered what it was like to not be out, and he always had a strong family unit whereas Tanners mother wasn’t as supportive. “That’s true” he chuckled, “Always seems to be that way, around here. Bit silly really”. Oscar’s face started to redden more at the next comment, biting his lip lightly before taking another sip of the wine. “And I’m never bored around you” he returned the compliment, and he was telling the truth. Even when they were just friends the two of them were able to spend ridiculous amounts of time together and he’d never get bored. “I can’t wait to see you play” Oscar spoke about the upcoming football games. He wasn’t much of a football fan, but he was all for team spirit and he knew now there was another reason to cheer on the wolves it’d definitely up his spirit.

In his head, he could already hear his mother rattling on about something. But he pushed that away and focused on Oscar.’’True.’’ Tanner muttered, glancing down at his feet briefly as his cheeks reddened slightly as he heard the comment. Out of the corner of his eye, he looked around just in case. But quickly calmed down.’’I’m not sure that I’ll be that great.’’ Tanner replied, looking back up at him.
