So long, farewell!
So while at face value (no pun intended) this doesn’t look like much. But I’ve always been a confessional poet that tends to have a blank or some say unreadable face. I started writing to express some hard feelings, and it always helps.
Here is the reflection for this week!
Here is my final revision of Asylum!
Here is a reflection on week three of my Asylum scene!
My Asylum Remake
This is a director's treatment reflection for my scene Asylum. This video was created for the Creative Writing MFA program at Full Sail University.

My Reflection
I was met with some health issues in the beginning of this month and they are still present. However I am pleased with my experience with week one of Advanced Visual Storytelling. I created this video as my reflection, check it out!

Adaptation Assignment
Reference
My story for the adaptation assignment bases on The Gift of the Magi, is about two best friends who move in together and want to give each other gifts as a welcome present. The only catch is, they both are tight with money and need to find a way to buy their friend a gift that they would want and could use. Ultimately, they sell their favorite items to buy the gifts only to find out that gifts are useless due to that. I personally haven’t written many adaptations, so the experience was different to me with the writing experience alone. The genre of this is also different from what I normally write in. I mainly stay in the horror genre, but due to the message of the story I couldn’t find a way to appropriately tie my genre to it. I don’t know if I would want to adapt any other projects, obviously in time that could change, but at this moment I would rather stay within the realm of creating my own story lines.
Media Convergence and Gamification
Superhero Workout is an exercise app created by Six to start. It operates like any other seven-minute workout app, but it adds a gaming aspect to it. In the app, you are protecting the earth against invasion through a mech battle suit. To save the world you have to pilot the suit and complete exercises in order to activate the weapons, shields, and other abilities.

Audible is a service where you can listen to books whenever and where ever you are. Many individuals say they don’t have time to sit and read a whole book, but with Audible you are able to listen without having to sit holding the actual book.

Effective Branding
Most who see this logo can usually name at least one song they have heard by them or at the very least describe what the band members look like. The logo alone has been attached to a plethora of commonly used objects over the years, like lunch boxes and credit cards for example. The logo originally was designed by lead guitarist Ace Frehley and cleaned up by rhythm guitarist Paul Stanley. Kiss’s second album, “Hotter Than Hell” released in 1974 featured the logo for the first time.

The Harry Potter brand as of 2016 is worth $25 billion. The movies grossed to $7.7 billion worldwide and the books made just as much according to Katie Meyer’s article in Time about the Harry Potter brand. Most would recognize the lettering used for the franchise associated with the boy who lived by the lightening bolt on the letter p. As well as the angular lettering most fans have come to associate with the title.

Most recognize this logo without a second thought to it. Whether you are an android fan or not, apple has clean and effective branding. Apart of branding is being able to stick to people’s minds with a simple symbol as well as being able to market your product effectively. According to the Newsroom Apple posted their quarterly revenue of $52.6 billion which is an increase of 12 percent from the year-ago quarter. This could be due to their advertisements of two new phones that were coming out to the market.

Web Series Reflection
In the last month, I wrote the first episode of my web series “Dead School”. As I writer I find it important to be able to branch out into other types of writing and not stick to just one. That way you have more inspiration and knowledge to pull from when creating characters, writing scenes or even understand emotions and translating that in black and white. Script writing is something that I have had limited experience with in my undergrad as well as during my Full Sail journey thus far and I would love to get better at it. I can see myself continuing on with writing my web series, not just because I’m emotionally invested in the characters but because I think enjoyed writing something different. Breaking up the normal, if you will. I do mainly write poetry and short stories. Writing for a web series was different than say writing a Pilot for a TV that happens to be an hour or so long. It seemed to flow faster. I also enjoyed the simplicity of it, when reading about creating it on film. At this moment in my life, I’m not sure that I can see myself sticking to just one thing for a writing career. I feel that with my personality, I would be doing a little bit of everything that I’ve come to learn and know once I’m comfortable enough to share it. I will however be continuing on with script writing and will possibly look into making the words on the page come to life.
These are some inspirational pictures that are intended to inspire creativity and staying involved in your community.
