The Chronicles of my Closet. What I was wearing, when I wore it, where I went while I was wearing it. This is a collection of (mostly selfie) highlights from the unflinching choose-your-own-adventure book that is mi vida loca, featuring me and my wardrobe: a carefully curated assemblage and performance piece comprised of items acquired from charity shops, vintage boutiques, discount stores, and the occasional decadent bout of indulgence. I enjoy creating a specific look, which, like most everything else, is just a matter of composition. Nearly everything breaks down to arranging the same elements in various ways to achieve a desired result. Not unlike Life itself. What else can I say? Life is just more interesting when you like what you’re wearing.

The year was 1999. I was living in Provo, Utah and met a couple girls who had a cute little vintage shop called Sailor Nine (though the spelling of said name might’ve been different). It was a fun place. But for the life of me, I cannot remember what became of that yellow suit. And it’s really a shame.
