𝐇𝐄  𝐌𝐎𝐒𝐓  𝐃𝐄𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐋𝐘  𝐈𝐒.  it’s  subtle  things,  like  his  22  necklace  or  his  ‘lil  bird’  tattoo  but  before  he  had  even  more  sentimental  things  kind  of  lying  around  his  house  that  he’d  never  get  rid  of.  one  of  the  most  important  pieces  to  him  is  a  picture  of  him,  jeff grimes  and  rick  grimes  all soaking  wet  on  the  bank  of  some  river.  that’s  his  family  and  he  kept  it  with  him  even  through  the  apocalypse,  always  on  his  person  or  somewhere  nearby.

𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐍𝐄  𝐖𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃  𝐁𝐄  𝐄𝐂𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐂  𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓  𝐋𝐎𝐑𝐈'𝐒  𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐆𝐍𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐘,  he  hates  that  it  happened  like  it  did  and  that  the  world  is  shit  but  he  always  did  want  a  family--  he  wanted  to  take  care  of  people  and  that  to  be  his  job  for  the  rest  of  his  life,  so  he  could  make  sure  his  family  had  it  better  than  he  did.  it  saddens  him  that  he  wasn’t  there  for  her,  he  feels  like  a  shit  father  for  it.  he’s  also  sad  when  he  meets  judith  for  the  first  time  because  he’s  missed  so  much  and  now  he  can’t  be  her  father--  rick’s  her  father  and  he  gets  that.  so  he really  just  distances  himself  from  her  some  and  would  treat  her  like  he  would  treat  any  other  kid.  it  makes  him  wish  things  would’ve  been  different.

what's one thing shane misses the most from the pre-apocalyptic world?

𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐁𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐘  𝐇𝐈𝐒  𝐃𝐎𝐆.  buck  was  a  comfort  object  for  him  and  the  dog  had  learned  to  comfort  shane  when  he  needed  it---  he  wasn’t  a  registered  service  dog  because  shane  didn’t  like  admitting  that  he  might  actually  need  that  kind  of  support,  but  now,  looking  back  on  it  he  realizes  that  buck  helped  him  so  much  more  than  he  liked  to  admit.  he’d  talk  to  the  dog  when  he  couldn’t  figure   out  his  emotions  and  even  though  buck  couldn’t  respond  verbally  he  listened  and  thats  all shane  needed.  not  to  mention  he  gave  good  cuddles.

how does Shane deal with overwhelming situations? not just physically but mentally and emotionally.

𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐄  𝐀𝐑𝐄  𝐀  𝐋𝐎𝐓  𝐎𝐅  𝐏𝐇𝐘𝐒𝐈𝐂𝐀𝐋  𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐊𝐒  𝐀𝐋𝐌𝐎𝐒𝐓,  that  he’s  developed  over  time  that  become  more  obvious  as  the  situation  grows  more  and  more  intense.  rubbing  his  neck  /  back  of  his  head,  biting  the  skin  on  his  thumbs  /  fingers,  removing  his  ball cap  putting  and it  back  on,  etc. etc.  the  list  could  go  on  forever,  but  those  are  just  the  physical  ways  he  deals  with  things.  mentally  he  just  kinda  shuts  his  brain  off--  this  helps  emotionally  too.  don’t  think  too  much,  don’t  feel  too  much  and  it’ll  all  be  over  soon  is  practically  his  mantra.  if  he  can  just  keep  himself  calm  enough  emotionally  and  mentally  it’ll  all  be  okay.

how much did shane interact with rick's family ?

𝐎𝐇  𝐌𝐀𝐍  𝐈  𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃  𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐓  𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓  𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒  𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑,  but  i’ll  try  to  keep  it  as  short  as  i  can.  rick  grimes  came  into  shane’s  life  when  he  needed  positivity  the  most.  shane  was  dealing  with  the  abuse  from  his  granddad  and  his  own  self-esteem  was  taking  a  huge  hit  from  it,  to  the  point  he  was  thinking  suicide  was  the  best  option.  on  one  of  his  lowest  days  a  new  kid  walked  into  the  classroom  and  those  blue  eyes  just  showed  him  some  sort  of  hope  some  how.  from  then  on  out  he  was  attached  to  ricks  hip  practically,  unhealthily  relying  on  him  and  his  family  for  happiness  and  he  knew  it  was  wrong  but  it  was  the  only  way  he  could  find  it  at  the  time.  as  things  continued  though,  the  relationship  between  rick  and  shane  turned  into  a  friendship  of  jealousy.  shane  was  jealous  of  his  perfect  life.  his  perfect  family.  a  mom  and  dad  who  loved  him  a  big  brother  that  cared--- soon  shane  just  tried  getting  closer  with  the  grimes  family.  Jeff  became  like  his  own  brother  and  both  of  the  grimes  parents  became  like  his  own.  the  jealousy  was  still  there  with  rick  but  he  kept  him  close  because  of  the  happiness.

founded  by  shane  walsh  in  a  old  school,  it  was  first  just  a  safe  fenced  in  place  for  him  to  sleep  and  be  safe  from  the  dead  but  slowly  he  began  to  take  in  people  of  walks  of  life.  he  started  to  help  them.  before  long  the  community  became  a  place  where  people  could  flourish--  they  had  fresh  water,  they  were  able  to  grow  their  own  food.  the  children  attended  daily  school  lessons  and  it  was  all  one  step  closer  to  a  new  world.
