I think Tenna is whatever type of diva Howl from Howl’s Moving Castle is. He would absolutely emit gloopy glooby slime everywhere.

I think Ramb suffers immensely because his natural habitat is a speakeasy and his green room bar is a poor imitation of the real thing that is not meeting his needs.

In a bit more seriousness, I wondering recently about how Ramb might acquire one in game and I’ve come up with this:

You have Kris go into the dojo. There’s a super obvious “secret” door on the back wall, like a wall panel door that they‘ve just done a god awful job disguising. When you ask the dojo residents about it they act shady. They also seem a little conflicted on whether they should dissuade you from opening it or not.

You have Kris go through the door. The ornately carved woodwork of a 1920s style speakeasy greets you. Jazz music is playing. Ramb is standing behind the bar, wiping it down with a rag (Classic bartender move!). He’s delighted to see Kris and just generally seems completely unaffected by his eerie and fucked up petrification and disappearance. He’s allowed to handle dark dollars here, he’s his own boss now and is having a great time.

It would work like color cafe; the speakeasy would be a room you could walk around in and talk to the patrons. Talking to Ramb would open his shopkeep menu. He’d have a fully animated one with him wiping the bar or mixing a drink and swaying his head a bit in time with the jazz. His items are nearly all alcohol, and if you try to buy those he winces and says something like “Sorry luv, can’t let you have that one quite yet.” The very last thing on his shop menu is the only nonalcoholic item for sale, chocolate milk. He gives Kris one on the house.

I think it would be really fun if the patrons sitting at the bar changed each time you opened the door, cycling through some characters that might go to Ramb’s speakeasy. You would get 1 or 2 lines of dialogue from them, with either them talking directly to you or you overhearing their conversation with Ramb. I think you could definitely find Seam in there, and they’d get a longer scene where both they and Ramb say increasingly cryptic shit at each other. It’s completely unclear whether they’re close friends or resent each other.

The speakeasy is probably a secret specifically to hide from Tenna as well as all of Ramb’s worst ex-coworkers. You can find Battat/Small Mike sitting at the bar looking exhausted.

There’s a single shadowguy with a saxophone in the corner of the room playing the jazz. He’s putting a lot of work into it because it’s just him playing enough jazz for a whole band. He is pulling it off.
