"Hey Saumensch where were you yesterday?"
Liesel can’t help a grin when she hears his voice. It’s not exactly present on her face, no, but her mind knows it’s there.
"None of your business, Saukerl!" She’s quick to reply, expression not quite matching her words.
Rudy grinned at her. “Good, I don’t want you getting sick.” He tugged Heinz along at a faster pace who was now complaining of having to use the bathroom. “You can go when we get to school.” He groaned.
Liesel was quick to match his pace, wrapping his coat a little tighter around her (feeling guiltier every second) with each step. "Are we going to be really late?"
