Genre: college! Au, fluff
Lord has it been a long day. Sitting in hour-long lectures, that were mandatory. Each professor had sign-in sheets and give you attendance points. If the points themselves didn’t equate to half of your grade you would have skipped more classes.
But alas, you really are not that type of student. You work hard day in and day out. You spend countless hours in the library rewriting your notes and organizing your thoughts in your notebooks. Not to mention the actual homework.
Midterms were well on their way and students were all gathering in the library. Your usual spot was taken up and so were the quiet study cubicles.
You begrudgingly leave the library for a small cafe. It’s a quiet place that isn’t usually too busy. You hope that that is the case today.
It’s mid-October and the weather is starting to become cooler. Your walk is brisk as you wrap your arms around your body to keep warm. It’s not bad but the slight breeze makes the walk a little brisk.
You arrive at the cafe to see that it is indeed not busy. Once you enter you are greeted by a server as she sweetly tells you to choose anywhere to sit. You decide that since the patio is protected against the wind and the nice October sun felt nice on your walk that you would sit outside.
You choose your table and you give the waitress your order of a macchiato. You quickly pull out your notebooks, pencil, and highlighters. Pulling your phone from your pocket you also connect your earbuds and get busy studying.
You are so entrenched with your studies that you do not notice the young man that sits at the table across from you. You don’t notice the way he notices you. He too has escaped the campus to enjoy a nice sunny autumn day.
He watches you. Intrigued. He likes the purple hue in your hair. He wonders what song you are listening to? What genre? Do you have the same taste in music that he does? What class are you studying for? All these thoughts run through his head as he watches you study.
Your neck and your hand start cramping. You’ve been at it for at least an hour and 2 macchiatos. You close your eyes and stretch. You also give a little yawn. Arms still outstretched, you open your eyes and see the handsome stranger smiling at you.
You quickly lower your head and you can feel yourself beginning to blush. The tips of your ears becoming hot.
Why is he looking at me like that? Is there something on my face? Did I spill coffee on myself again? All these thoughts run through your head.
You still have your earbuds in so you don’t hear him lightly chuckle when he notices you blushing. He finds it cute. In fact, he finds you absolutely adorable.
You look up again to see that he is still looking at you. You wonder why he is still looking at you. The waitress approaches you again and you take out your earbuds. She asks if you would like another macchiato. You politely tell her no and that just a water would be nice.
You move to place your earbuds back in when the cute stranger approaches your table. He sits in front of you and says, “Hi. I’m Kim Namjoon.”
