That somebody to share with!!

Calculations, plans, smiles and stress;

With all these in mind, I go to my bed.

With a kiss on his forehead I forget everything;

And sing symphonies like a bird in a spring.

He lays to my right; always facing me;

Those stiff arms often curling around me;

There have been times when I wake at nights,

Just to find his sharp eyes still staring at me;

I have felt so safe seeing those open eyelids;

It feels so warm cuddling him at nights.

Calm and happy is he always;

And he is always bright as he gaze.

He has all ears to me even when I shout or scream

It always feels like, he is a dream.

In this world of chaos, there ought to be a place,

Somewhere where, you feel completely embraced;

And to me, that one place is with HIM.

Two years gone and he still is the same;

In my mind, he will always be the same.

In case there were some mischief imaginations, it was all about my wooly monkey puppet, Caesar :P :P :P

In this selfish world where people are concerned only about knowing your problems rather than solving them, he is my one somebody with whom my best secrets are always kept safe.

I am not stupid enough to wish for a partner like him. After all, life is nothing without prompts and responses. But nobody could ever replace my Caesar to whom I can talk and share Anything about Anyone and be sure they will always be kept as the Safest Secrets :D

My first job..by chance

Looking out for a career once away from a college campus is a more challenging task these days. Out of post-graduation, and a gap of eight long months due to health hazards, I was all set to face this challenge. I had no idea about my first company until I got a call from Preetham, my cousin. We spoke for about an hour but to the worst, I wasn't able to remember even the name of the company after he dropped the call. The only thing I remembered was it had something to do with networking and I knew I had to turn the leaflets of Behrouz A Forouzan's work again. It was one subject that I completely hated in my college days – computer networks. I had no other choice than to prepare something as this suggestion for job came from my uncle, who is my God father. May be the campus to corporate transition didn't happen in me and I postponed my preparations for the interview until a night before it was about to take place. Embarrassed to face the situation, that night I called Preetham to enquire if I can make it some time later. He burst out laughing and hung up my call. OMG!! May be he thought I was only afraid of the day but he didn't know that it was actually because of the scarce idea I had on my least favorite subject.

The next day Preetham took me along to his office. He made me wait at the reception and proceeded. A while after the HR recruiter took over the responsibility of me. She walked me to a small conference room where she gave me a booklet for the written assessment. She left the room saying she would be back in an hour.

Do I really have to read through this booklet for an hour?! I wasn't sure if there was something that I could answer. To my luck it wasn't completely of networks. C language and analytics helped me fill something. She came back and collected my booklet. The one thing that I badly wanted to do then was to run away from that place before she comes up with the assessment results. But to my bad luck I was asked to wait.

She came out once again after 15 mins and informed me about my next face to face interview with someone named Deva.

I called Preetham to ask if this person was liberal. To my greatest astonishment, I was told that Deva was the director of Engineering of the company. Before we could discuss about what and how things should be spoken, there was a knock at the room's door and I had to drop the call.

And again the day was still in my favour. Out of the five topics that we spoke, four were far away from networking's scope. The final one was to explain any one routing protocol. I somehow had a strong knowledge about this as it was once my seminar topic (Thanks to Ms.Sumathi, my computer networks faculty in College).

Finally, brought to the end of the process, I was asked to wait for a word within a couple of weeks. I heard from the company almost after a month, when I had already lost my hopes to hear back from them.

I was proud enough to step into my first job. But it wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. My initial days were hard to survive. Thanks to Preetham for helping me overcome such hard times.

Its now three years in the same place and I have never felt the itch. It’s not what we get in life; the only thing what matters is how hard we try to hold something that we get in life.
