Imogen laughs lightly as she takes her place back on the couch where she currently had been before but this time instead of on his lap she sits beside him cross legged with her plate resting on her lap, “Let’s eat.” She roughly translates with a smile as she bites into her own first piece of the mini pizza’s. “My Nonno would come up from the grave an haunt me if I dared to purchase store made dough.” she shakes her head, “Made it with my dad yesterday, we had extra.” She adds on a moment later after swallowing another bite not caring how it burnt her tongue in the process. “I can share the recipe if you want…?” It was different, them being so nice to each other, it was nice and she was glad for it considering her circumstances. Maybe in a way that was why she also kept hesitating every time she tried to bring the news up to him because she didn’t want to ruin whatever nice streak they were on.  Though she knew it would be ruined forever if he found out from somebody else and consider a small handful of people knew now she wasn’t wanting to risk it for much longer. “Owen…” She says after a few minutes more of eating, “There’s something I have to talk to you about.”

“Yeah I wouldn’t have guessed that.” He says shaking his head at himself as another chuckle comes out. “I see why, store bought has nothing on her recipe that’s for damn sure. well thanks for thanking of me.” as he speaks he glances over at her giving her a small soft smile. it didn’t last long but just enough for her to see. “nah i’m good. me and cooking don’t mix just ask tristian i burn toast.” it’s true when it comes to the kitchen nothing is safe expect cereal. owen couldn’t remember the last time he felt this comfortable with a girl he’s just hooking up with, aside from a couple exes, usually making it a point to leave immediately after. something about imogen kept him around though. taking another bite of pizza he looks up when she says his name all the sudden feeling like he’s in the principals office. “oh no..” he mutters under his breath, barely audible. “Sounds serious, didn’t know we did that but what’s up?” he hesitantly asks, furrowing his brows. his mind starts to wonder what could possible warrant them to talk but he blanks.

Imogen had been a mess of emotions and nerves all day. she hadn’t know that she was going to finally spill the beans today, it was a sudden decision. Her dad was out and the house seemed incredibly lonely and she had no idea if she would even actually be able to say the words to him. She chickened out the last time she tired and her stomach was so full of nerves she was half certain she might again. She needed to tell him, she had to tell him, but every time the words were on the tip of her tongue she always seemed to swallow them. The timer dinged on the oven and she quickly hopped off his lap before she could receive any protests, heading off to grab their meal. “Mangiamo!” Imogen giggles lightly, returning and passing a plate off to him full of his mini pizza. “Nonna Moreno would be proud her recipes are being put to use. Hopefully they appease your taste buds.”

Owen had been enjoying Imogen’s company a lot lately. They were actually getting along and though they didn’t talk too much he liked being around her more than he cares to admit. As he’s about to wrap his arms around her the timer goes off causing a small groan to fall from his lips. His brows raise as he listens to her, “No clue what you just said but you speaking Italian, very hot.” owen smirks before taking the plate from her. “This is homemade? I figured you bought the crust.” He admits slightly impressed now even if he hasn’t a bite yet. Picking up a slice he blows on it for a moment before taking a bite, waiting a minute before speaking. “Well this has to be one of the better pizzas I’ve had.”
