17. I do the fuck I want.

“You my friend, are a terrible influence. But yes, let us toss down some balloons on some poor unsuspecting people.”

“I’m supposed to be, I’m the girl your parents supposed to warn you about. Hell ya! Let’s fill some balloons and get this party started.”

I was a little skeptical about it. Being a thirteen year old girl and going red, of course you kind of get mercilessly teased about it, but I spoke to the producers before I got the role and they explained to me that it is so integral to the part and her ancestry and it’s a subliminal message to the audience about her mother and Robb and then Arya’s closeness to Jon and her father. Once they explained, I realized it was kind of amazing that for my first role, I got to transform myself. That was pretty cool. That was my version of rebellion, I guess. My parents are pretty happy that I didn’t go black hair and get tattoos all over my arms. My rebellion was floor-length skirts and red hair.

“You seem to be doing just fine right now babe,” Chance teased her, his grin growing with both amusement and interest. “Sure, sure, not a date. Just an outing where we are romantically involved and you just can’t seem to take your hands off of me. But don’t worry… not a date.“He teased further, waiting a few seconds before chuckling lightly. 

“Call me babe again and you will be eating dirt,” she warned him with a glare. “Do you really believe I will have romantic feelings for you? What have you been smoking? Or drinking? You’re making me want to change my mind,” she informed him.

“This sounds like an awful idea, if im honest..so if we get in trouble im blaming you.”

“So is that a yes? Because all I’m hearing is a yes.” She grinned.

“Seriously?” Chance repeated with a grin and glanced around the yard for a moment before looking back to her, raising his shoulders. “I don’t believe I asked… I just told,” he chuckled jokingly. “If you want to have a little fun, my taxi will be at the main gates at seven. If not… I guess I’ll just keep pestering you to go out with me somewhere. I’m pretty confident that one day you’ll see this the same way that I do.”

Leila raised her brow, not laughing at his joke. “See what exactly? I barely tolerate you,” lie but he didn’t need to know that. “But sure, I’ll go but not as a date, the school just been boring and I need something fun to do.” She replied.

“Hey!” Chance shouted with a smile and ran from the field to the blonde, shaking his arms around a bit to loosen them up after his lengthy run. Once he reached her he placed his hands on his hips, fixed his hair, and then leaned most of his weight to one foot. “Leila, I couldn’t help but notice the chemistry between us… even standing so far away from each other. Why deny the universe what it so desperately seeks? Who would we be if we didn’t test the waters a bit, you know? Say like… tonight at seven o'clock? There’s an opening for some bar just a few blocks away and with classes starting soon I figured I’d make the most of these last few days… So, I’ll pick you up in a taxi,” he stated with a proud smirk on his lips.

Leila was going to her little place she found to get away from people who finally realised who she was in the street, surprised that they’re still running that damn story. Hearing someone’s voice made her stop in her tracks, looking to find Chance, of course, she didn’t have anything against him but she also wasn’t really fond of most people. When he got to her, she looked at him confused by each word he spoke. Her mouth hung open for a moment before she spoke, “Are you seriously asking me out on a date?”

“Ive got a free afternoon with no rehearsals or studying, ive been blessed..although I am also bored and am in need of plans.”

“Well, if you need a plan, we can always go throw water balloon at people on the street.”

“Hey,” she whispered and gave a small smile, her eyes on the girl she noticed behind the bush. “Who are you hiding from? Or is something wrong? Need any help?”

She looked at the other girl, shrugging. “Just want peace and quiet,” she muttered. “Why are you over here?”

“You come out here to hide too?” Max asked the girl as he moved between a section of shrubs, circling around her and watching a few people pass by on the path. “I’m hiding from possible and, unfortunately, inevitable embarrassment and shame, what are you hiding from?”

Hearing the question made her roll her eyes, “why should I tell you?” Leila looked up at him, watching him whenever he was in her vision. “Is that so? How embarrassing and shameful could something possibly be?” She hummed, her curiosity getting to her. “Nothin’.”

Chance was out for a jog and decided on a new route for the day, to change things up a bit. As he passed through the gardens, his foot twisted from a section of uneven ground and he fell to the ground with a big huff. Thankfully there were trees covering him from the eyes of any passing people. That is, until he glanced to his side only to make eye contact with a familiar face. “Just my luck, honestly. Thought I would’ve got away with that one,” he sighed and pushed himself up to his feet, brushing away the dirt from his clothes before pointing to the ground behind him. “It’s all uneven there watch out.”

Leila knew the boy, after all, it was hard not knowing him. “Someone is always watching,” she spoke in a low voice as if it was a threat from a movie. “Anyways, I don’t have any reasons to tell people you fell flat on your face, not worth my time,” she shrugged as she watched him point before she looked away and down at legs. “Thanks, I guess? I didn’t even come that way.”

“Oh, god,” Wes mumbled as he caught sight of the girl from the corner of his eye, startling him a bit as he didn’t even think anyone else would be out this deep in the garden. “You scared me there… didn’t think anyone else was out here,” he admitted as he turned to face her, pinning the comic book between his crossed arms and chest. “Uh… everything alright?”

Leila chuckled a little seeing as she scared him. “At least I’m not an axe-murderer,” she teased as she knew she would enjoy this conversation very much. She rose her brow, “why wouldn’t everything be alright? Have you thought that just maybe I just didn’t want to be bothered consistently?”

Leila was the garden, to get away from everything and just relaxed, not having to deal with the annoying pit in her stomach whenever she was face to face with anyone, afraid of them recognising her. But when she heard footsteps, she hoped they wouldn’t see her behind a bush.

Chance gave her a quick glance and nod over his shoulder before returning his gaze to the path ahead of him. “It’s summer, the only thing more important than drinking is… nothing,” he shrugged and took another drink of his beer. “I wouldn’t call it cool… more like stupid. But I’m a stupid guy so the setting suits the occasion.”

She thought for a moment, “there’s always partying and illegal activities.” Of course, that was her department, illegal activity as she wasn’t one to believe in rules. “Stupid works too but I never snuck beer into a movie theatre here so, it’s cool to me. Is that so? How stupid could you possibly be?” She wondered.

“You coming or not? This case of beer isn’t going to drink itself and honestly, not in the mood to wait around,” Chance shrugged, lifting one of the bottles to his lips despite the possibility of getting caught with it where he shouldn’t be. “I’m going to the theater with all of this shit,” he stated and turned to start walking down the hall.

“Yeah, sure, got nothin’ better to do.” She replied casually as she watched him, knowing something was up but she didn’t care enough to question his behaviour. “You’re going to the theatre too? Aren’t you cool shit,” she joked as she followed him, her arms crossed.
