Alyx? What a bitch... am I right? Nah, her and I get along pretty well and that’s surprising, but I’m not complaining. To people who are alike in a lot of ways well tend to gravitate towards each other and I guess that’s just kinda what happened. However, that makes it sound like I like like her, which isn’t the case at all. She’s hot, I’m hot.. we both like the same things -- end of story.

The girl sat next to him and looked down at everything before she felt his eyes on her again and so she looked at him again. “I guess.” She said with a shrug. Usually she wasn’t the kind to drink, not without a party anyway and even then she tried really hard not to do it too much. She didn’t want to get in trouble for it. But today was a particularly bad one and she just wasn’t in the mood to act normally. “Do you mind?” She asked after a moment, glancing at the flask again. Drinking on the roof may not be the best thing, he was right, but plenty of people had done so much worse and survived so why shouldn’t she drink on the roof?

Sure, he had a reputation to be kind of an asshole when he wanted to be, and sure, he didn’t mind that one bit. But that wasn’t who Jaxon was all the time, so when she apologized it caused him to frown. “No, I’m serious. Don’t apologize for coming up here.” He told her in a serious tone, raising his brow slightly. He was also one to drink, heavily, so the fact that he could do so on the roof without getting caught meant he was up there frequently. Her question made him grin, holding the flask back out for her. “Not at all, got a whole bottle stashed back there, so drink your heart out.” He told her with a grin, gesturing behind them before he looking back at her. “Rough day? Because I’m pretty sure I’ve never seen you up here before.”

Faye took another drink from her flask, the liquid hitting her stomach and instantly soothing her. She chuckled at his comments. “Fair enough. I’m not nearly as far along as you are.” She was quiet for a few ore seconds, looking out over the campus and taking another sip. “You’re safe from me for now.”

He couldn’t help but to give her a smirk, turning his body towards hers, letting one leg over the edge while the other was crossed in front of him. “Well then, Bessin, I suggest you get to work on that one. I’m hotter when you’re drunk.” He chuckled, wiggling his brow at her. “You’ll never be safe from me, but whatever helps you sleep at night, Princess.”

Birdie knew Jaxon well enough by now to know that anything rude or sarcastic he said to her, she shouldn’t take too seriously. Or, at least, she was never the kind of person to let anything he said hurt her feelings. Maybe it was a bit of the fondness she still felt for him from her childhood crush. Her light and happy manner was never hurt by him. “Hey. that just leaves more for me.” She shrugged, taking another puff and exhaling. She spent most of her days fried out on weed. “What kind of shit do you have to do?”

Anything that he ever said that was directed at her was not meant at all, purely just him giving her a hard time because he could. Part of that came from the fact that when they were kids she had this crush on him, and he wasn’t one to let that go at all. But still, even then, he knew that she knew he didn’t mean his words. Honestly, he liked having someone around who was happy all the time, because it was polar opposite to how he felt. “Never knew you to be so selfish B. But yes, it does leave more for you.“ He chuckled with a nod, raising a brow at her question. “Gotta go to a fight with Adam to make some money, meeting up with a few people at the diner on Fourth after that and then I have to study.... Yes, I study -- shocking right?”

“So i decided to go off campus for lunch today and I found this really great pizza place. Like it was so great that I ate an entire pizza by myself. I mean I had to. I was the only one there and I ordered a large pizza. I couldn’t let it go to waste” Liv rested her head in the palm of her hand and paused for a moment. “I’m sorry I was thinking about how badly I wanted more pizza. Wait I have an idea. What are you doing for dinner tonight? We should go back to that pizza place. Maybe they won’t judge me as much this time.”

He’d been off in his own world for most of the time she’d spent rambling on about something, what? He didn’t really know, all he heard was her speaking but that didn’t mean the words connected with his thoughts. Not until she asked about what he was doing for dinner, to which he sat up slightly, finally looking over at her with a raised brow. “Was gonna get some cheap Chinese food because I’m broke, but hell, if you’re paying for pizza I suppose I can change my schedule around some to accommodate your needs.” He told her, raising his brow slightly.

Birdie smiled gently at the boy, her earnest nature never put off by his snarkiness or rude behavior. She had known the boy forever, and knew how to interact with him. They were complete opposites, but somehow they had managed to stay friends.“Then don’t pass it up,” the girl said, pulling a joint out of her pocket and sparking it up. Her lips curled around the edges of it, her lungs filling with smoke before exhaling. she raised an eyebrow at him, offering the joint to Jaxon. She laughed a little as he spoke. “Then maybe you better not. Although I bet I could totally handle it.”

He’d always been one to be rude, sarcastic and cocky, things that she knew because hell, they’d known each other for what felt like forever. Not only that but he could get away with it with her because she never took it to heart, something that he really liked about her. “You’re tempting me not too, but today I’m going to have to pass. Got shit to do later this evening which means I gotta stay up.” He told her with a small frown, shrugging his shoulders slightly. After she offered it to him he shook his head slightly. “I don’t know about that one, it’s been a while since I’ve been both types of intoxicated.”

Faye sat down next to the boy, rolling her eyes at his comments. She grabbed her flask again, taking a long gulp. “How could I ever forget? I’ve played lookout for you enough times by now.” She took another drink, letting the silence between them settle for a few seconds. “You know what’s better than peace and quiet? A drinking contest. I love beating your ass every single time.”

Her comment had him shrugging his shoulders slightly, raising a brow. “I mean, I don’t know. A lot of people around here forget a lot of shit pretty fucking easily so it wouldn’t really surprise me. Her little form of a dare caused him to chuckle, grabbing her flask from her to give it a small shake. “I think you’ve got more in yours than I do in mine, hardly fair considering I’d have mine downed in two seconds.”

Adriana’s eyebrows creased together when he called her out on lying. She was wondering if she was losing her touch or maybe her was just really good at reading people. She’d chalk it up to her stressful day, for the time being. Besides, if he was as intoxicated as he claimed, he probably wouldn’t remember her tomorrow. She didn’t plan on leaving a lasting impression anyways. The brunette huffed out a sigh and plopped down next to him, grabbing his flask. She took a huge gulp before handing it back, staring out over the rest of campus.

He’d spent so much time studying people that he did it without even thinking about it, doing it even if he had no intentions of stealing things from the person he studied. Seeing her reaction to him he couldn’t help but to chuckle, raising his brow. “Chill, your secret is safe with me.” He told her in a serious tone as he watched her sit down next to him, letting the flask be removed from his hand. “So, what’s your story and why did you feel the need to lie to someone that you didn’t even really know over something so little as drinking?”

Lacey liked to go up to the roof to think, occasionally. She’d never found anyone else up there, but then again she didn’t find herself on the roof often: only when she wasn’t in the best mindset. She’d just received a paper back, one she’d spent days on, and didn’t quite get the mark she wanted. She needed an A, she knew that, and if her father heard about it she didn’t know what she would do. So she went up to the roof to think as always, just to find someone else up there. “Oh, sorry…” She said quickly, but then he was speaking before she could really finish. The girl blinked at the offer though, hesitating before walking over and sitting next to him. “Why not?”

Jaxon found himself on the roof more times than he found himself in his own dorm at this point, not that he minded being in his room but then again being out in the open air was something he enjoyed more than being locked within four walls. Not only that but he knew that the only people that ever came up here were students which meant he wasn’t going to have to hear yet another teacher ask him about his paperwork. After hearing her apology, he raised his brow, shrugging his shoulder. “Nothing to be sorry about. Don’t own the roof.” He told her with a chuckle, looking off the roof and down onto the quad before his glance was brought back to hers. “That’s the attitude to have, honestly.”

Crouching slightly in the corner, her hands spread wide open placed on both sides trying to keep her still. Giggles fuelled by her lightly intoxicated state left her lips. The rush of just running away from the cops caused her heart to beat faster – that and the drugs she had taken near the beginning of the party. The event started just over four hours ago, meaning whatever she had taken earlier was dosing off slowly. Of course she did plan on taking more drugs. In fact right before the cops came she was about to take a line of cocaine. To an extent, it frustrated her that they did come, but she made it out without getting caught –  and though she might not admit it, she was glad Jaxon made it out too. Despite the fact their relationship was mainly based off of lust, the blonde had grown to like the boy. He was more like her than she thought, making it easier for her to actually connect with him.

As she looked up at him, the elevator began to shake before coming to a complete stop as the fire alarms went off. Widening her eyes, she looked at him confused. “What the fuck?” She ran her hand through her hair before straightening herself up. The first thing she thought of was taking her phone out of her pocket, however she had no service and her phone had less than four percent. “What the actual fuck?”

The way that Alyx had herself propped up in the elevator caused him to burst out laughed, shaking his head at the sight before he had to lean himself against the cold metal of the walls to make sure that he didn’t fall over from his own drunken state. The cops banging on the door had somewhat brought him to sobriety but with the amount that he’d drank and the pill he’d taken were coursing through his veins faster than his heart was pounding within his rib cage. What he’d taken? He had no idea, mutual friend of Alyx and him had given it too him and just told him it was a fun time. He wasn’t tripping balls yet so he figured it was something super mild or X, something he’d taken before. He was just about to go ask for another one when the pounding noise came from the front door, knowing that the manor of which it came was not from some friendly party-goer. It was the feds and he was not about to be stuck in a room while they searched it. So he looked around the room frantically, seeing Alyx’s blonde hair dip out behind one of them and he did the same, stumbling onto the elevator with her with a laugh, glancing over his shoulder as the door closed. After a moment he found himself standing right next to her, a smirk on his face at the fact they were able to even pull that off. Just like her, he was glad she’d made it out without getting caught because she was one of the few people within the walls of Red that he considered someone he could trust.

But his good mood instantly dissipated when the elevator began to jerk to a halt, his heart racing once again because he knew what was going on and he really did not want to have to deal with right now. It was only made worse when he could hear the dull roar of fire alarms being set off from the opposite side of the metal box, his eyes widening at the sound. “Fuck.” He breathed out, blinking the alcohol out of his system as he went up to the door, trying to pry it open before he let out a huff. “It’s not budging.” He said, taking a deep breath before he turned around, pulling out his phone only to see that he too had no service. “Shit! Fuck! What are we going to do?!” He asked as his voice began to shake, panic setting in faster than he could have ever thought it would.

Marley shook her head, wiggling her finger at him playfully. “I know you would never.” She said, gesturing her hands over her body. “How could you ever snap on this?” The girl said with a wink. She took a large sip of the flask, the burning sensation familiar to her as the alcohol made its way down her throat. She took a seat next to him, taking one more sip before handing him back his flask. Her shoulder nudged him slightly, her legs dangling over the edge of the building. “Not in particular, just wanted to get away from class and stuff. Why’re you up here?” She asked, knowing that there wasn’t really a point, there wasn’t any way he was going to tell her.

He gave her a small smirk, rolling his eyes at her. “You don’t know me that well then, Mar.” He teased, eyeing her over once as she gestured to herself, pretending to think for a moment. “I mean, it could be something that happens eventually. However, that kind of snapping might now be something you mind because it’d be something physical.” He said, the teasing tone still in his voice. He quietly took a deep breath, taking the flask back from her before taking a swig. He laughed as she nudged him, throwing his own legs over the edge. “Don’t we all just want to get away from the classes? Or at least people like us do.. No reason in particular, actually. Just wanted to get out of my room for a while. Besides, I’m up here more times than I can count anymore.”

Faye’s curly dark hair blew in the wind as she opened the door to the roof. She hadn’t been expecting to see someone else here, but she grinned when she saw it was Jax. She started creeping up to him, hoping to scare the boy. But when he spoke to her she groaned, giving up her endeavor. “I thought I was so quiet. And you’re not the only one who likes drinking on the roof.” Faye pulled out her own flask from her back pocket, holding it up to the boy before taking a swig.

It was early enough in the evening that he wasn’t surprised that someone else decided to come up to the roof, it wasn’t like he was the only one that knew about it. But seeing Faye caused a smirk to dance onto his lips, raising a brow at her words. “I think you forget what I do to make money, Bessin. You become really good at hearing things when you steal shit all the time. Yeah, I know I’m not the only one... didn’t mean I don’t want some peace and quiet.” He retorted in a teasing tone, shrugging before he took a drink from his own flask.

Adriana had discovered the serenity of the school’s roof within her first week at Red. A quiet place to think was a necessity for the girl and her dorm didn’t always cut it. She pushed through the door only to see another body sitting on the edge. “Shit.” The brunette mumbled under her breath just as the other person began to speak. “I don’t drink.” Adriana lied with a weak smiled. “I’ll just get out of your hair. Don’t want to ruin your– mood.”

He wasn’t there because it was quiet, wasn’t there because it was peaceful -- even though those things were a plus that wasn’t why he liked the roof. He liked it because he knew he wasn’t going to get caught and because the view was the best on campus. He heard her curse, raising a brow slightly when he turned to see an unfamiliar face, shaking his head slightly at her attempt at lying. “Eleven years of reading people before I knick their shit tells me you’re lying through your teeth about that one, Princess.” He shot back with a smirk, shrugging his shoulders. “Not bothering me in the least, if you were I wouldn’t have offered you a drink.”

“Lucky me.” he scoffed, unfortunately stone cold sober and fully able to be disappointed he was no longer alone. Keys sat up on the ledge anyway, letting his legs dangle off the end. “I’m good, dude.” he gestured to the joint in his hand. “But if you start getting all weird, sentimental drunk on me, I’ll push you myself.” The brunette took a long puff of the joint, letting the smoke sit in his lungs for a bit before finally exhaling. He offered it up to his company as he spoke, “You the kid that’s been stealing wallets and shit? Because I only use cards.”

“From your tone I’d assume that you need more than alcohol.” Jaxon retorted, running a hand through his hair as he watched the other sit on the ledge, turning his body around so his feet hung off the edge as well. “Yeah not really one for sentimental things to begin with, so if I do get like that, you’ve got permission to Sparta kick my ass off this roof.” He said with a small chuckle, taking a swig from his flask, shaking his head slightly when the joint was offered to him. “Normally I wouldn’t pass that up, but I need to stay up to study, thanks anyways..” He trailed off, brow raising at the other male’s last comment. “Yeah, that’d be me. But I don’t actually steal from people on campus. Not to many of my kind around here... would be too fucking easy to trace back to me.”
