Hello everyone I was a mod with this event but I am now organizing a new event. This is a prompt week event where you will be given 7 WTNV prompts for a week! Our prompts are going to be released September 26 while the week itself is October 3rd-9th. We have an FAQ and our ask box is always open! I hope to see you all there!

Hey everyone. As much as we regret this, we unfortunately have to cancel this event. We have had very low interest numbers and know that we will be unable to properly run this event at our projected scale. We hope you all understand, and thank you for the interest you have shown.

honestly it’s so hard to choose. Cecil’s interactions with everyone are just so top-notch. I think an underrated interesting one is Cecil and Earl Harlan.

Probably Episode 94 “All Right” but also the whole Strexcorp arc.

Will there be an official discord for this bb? Some bb's ive participated in in the past have made a discord to make communication easier.
Yes! There is an official discord that we’ll open to the public during sign up. Check ins, schedule changes, and posting dates are some of the important information we’ll share there. If the server as a whole is to overwhelming for participants, then feel free to mute most of the channels, with the exception of the announcements and checkpoints pings.

FAQ
What is the WTNV Big Bang?
It’s a collaborative event where writers, betas, and artists are paired up and work on a unique fic/art piece. Ours is focusing on the podcast Welcome to Night Vale.
Can I participate?
Yes! Interest forms will open December 27th, and the actual sign up forms will open January 4! The forms will be linked on our blog and here once open. You can find the general calendar here.
If I want to participate as a writer, how much do I have to write?
The minimum word count is 6k for one-shots and 11k for multi-chaptered fics.
Is there anything I’m not allowed to write?
We’re not allowing NSFW content, and no glorifying of unhealthy relationships (abuse, pedophilia/age difference where one was a minor, grooming, etc. We are also not allowing any x reader fics.
What about crossovers?
Crossovers are fine, so long as they focus on the characters from the podcast!
What type of art can I make?
Sketches, drawings, gifs, playlists, moodboards…whatever!
Is Explicit content allowed?
In this bang, there will be a zero tolerance policy for explicit discussion of sexual content. If your fic contains references to sexual content that is permitted, but your fic must abide by the AO3 guidelines for an M-rated fic or lower.
What if I am a minor and feel uncomfortable working with adults, (or I am an adult and feel uncomfortable working with minors)?
When authors fill out their fic synopsis forms, they will be able to say that their fic is minors only or adults only, as well as any other trigger or content warnings that apply to their fic. When we open claiming, artists and betas will have full access to all of this info, and be able to make their choices from there!
Where can I see/read the fics/art?
We will start reblogging everyone’s final works onto this blog at the end of the bang! Everyone will be assigned a posting day and an official collection will be made on Ao3.

December 27th: Interest Forms Live
Our interest forms will be open to see how many people would be interested in this event
January 4th: Sign-Ups Open
Sign-Ups for writers, artists, and betas will be open!
January 15th: Big Bang Officially Begins!
Writers must send in their fic synopses by the end of today!
January 16th, noon EST: Claiming Period Starts
The claiming document with all the fic synopses will be open so ARTISTS and BETAS can claim the fics they want to work with. There will be open slots to put your tumblr username for each fic.

January 18th, 11:59pm EST: Claiming Period Ends
Get in contact with all the members of your group. Take this time to set up a schedule with your beta and start to discuss which scenes will be depicted or what the concept of the art pieces is going to be.

January 19th: Deadline to Contact Groups
You should hear from all of your members by this date! Please let us know if there are any issues with contacting any members of your group.
January 23rd: First Checkpoint
WRITERS should try to have around 1k words for oneshots and 2k words for multichapter fics.
February 6th: Second Checkpoint
WRITERS: try to reach 2k if you’re doing a one-shot and 4k if you’re doing multi-chaptered.
ARTISTS: show your group some sketches, an outline, to let them know how far you’ve gotten and if you need to know anything new.
If you’re having any trouble, please contact mods.
February 20th: Third Checkpoint + Midway Check-in
WRITERS: try to have 3.5k and 6.5k for one-shots and multi-chaptered fics respectively written so you can have room to edit.
ARTISTS: you should have a good idea of all the scenes/info. you’re planning to use, start outlining/sketching if you haven’t.
Let the mods know if you feel you’re really behind or are having any issues.
February 27th: Fourth Checkpoint
WRITERS should try to have 5k and 9k written (one-shot and multi-chaptered respectively). You should have a good idea of how you want things to end and should be talking with you betas about how to tie everything together.
ARTISTS: if you’re doing more than one piece try to have one of them pretty much ready so you have time to work on the other. Let your writer know if you need more info than what they’ve given you thus far.
March 6th: Fifth Checkpoint
WRITERS: aim for reaching the min by this point (that’s 6k and 11k). We low-balled it with the mins so we know a lot of you are going to go higher, which is also why we’re asking for the word min early. If not, it’s okay if you haven’t reached the min yet, just do your best to give yourself time to go back to any scenes you’re not to sure about or add anything you feel needs adding.
ARTISTS: be in constant connection with your group. If you are going to add any last minute pieces, now’s the time.
March 13th: Last Checkpoint
WRITERS, you should be pretty much finished by this point. Use this week to edit and add the finishing touches. ARTISTS, same goes for you.
Let the mods know if you feel you’re REALLY behind (we’ll keep it in mind so we know to assign you the latest possible posting day).
March 20th: END OF BIG BANG CONTENT CREATION!
March 21st: Posting Dates Assigned
Based on what we’ve heard back from everyone, we’ll assign you a posting day (Mon-Fri the following week). We’ll do our best to give the latest posting dates to those that, for whichever circumstance, fell behind (so, if you feel you’re good to go, let us know you’re up for being the first to post).
March 22nd-29th: Posting Week
