@wtvrgenesis
She let out a dramatic sigh over the girls lack of imagination. Pulling her in front of her, two hands rested on her shoulders. “Listen. No one needs to know you’re still a virgin. That’s boring and if anything you’ll be labeled a prude. I know you’re not, but the media has their own way of twisting words. How about I tell you some of my unreleased stories, mild ones of course, and you can use them. I have enough to go around.”
Genesis nodded as Nik gave her words of advice. “Y-Yeah, you’re right..” she trails off. “I’m just waiting, that’s all. I mean, I wouldn’t mind if I wasn’t a virgin, I guess.. I mean, it’s wrong to do it before marriage, but I feel like it’s okay to have fun..” She gives the other a small smile. “Hmm.. like what?”
“paparazzi get paid for every good frame they get, they’re not going anywhere until they think they’ve got something good.” the brunette sighs. she pulls her lips into a smile, let’s her top row of teeth show as she waves to the young girls tapping against the glass. “and they won’t leave until they get a selfie, or something. whatever’s worth bragging rights these days.” the smile falls from her lips and she gives the small shop a once over. “so we’re stuck, little genisis. you wanna try something on?”
“that’s true. i don’t think i could ever do that - take pictures of people in compromising positions, since that’s what they do for the most part.” the girl looks over her shoulder at the adoring fans outside the shop, and wiggles her eyebrows before laughing at some reactions, and smiles at the fans waving to emerald. it’s absolutely beautiful, the way they look up to the two of them, in her mind. even though it’s just an obstacle to the famous girls. “sure, why not? there is a lot of cute stuff here,” genesis says, looking at the racks adorned with colorful clothing.
“Shhh.” She put a finger to the girls lips. “Think of it more like story telling. It’s fun, trust me.” She smiled teasingly, slowly pulling the girl in. “No no, I mean lust is a good answer, but really commit to it. Lust! Yes! Now tell me why it’s personal to you. Any juicy stories?”
Genesis’s eyes widened upon the other girls’ finger against her lips, trying her hardest not to giggle. “Um, I don’t really have any juicy stories. I mean, I’ve only had my first kiss - I’ve never been, um, farther than that, Nik! And I don’t know what to make up to make that seem juicy.”
Nik pulled her little friend close. “That’s when you lie. Make up a big story. It can be anything, have fun with it. Hey! You can even practice on me.” She offered the girl a soft smile. “Now Genesis.” Her tone grew serious, a brow raised. “You grew up in church? So what’s you favorite of the seven deadly sins? Tell me about it?”
Genesis looked over at Nik, and did so with nervous eyes. “You want me to lie?” she did it frequently, but only when she really had to. “Why would I lie and make stuff up?” She listens to her friend’s serious voice, and tries to mimic a serious tone herself. “Well, I - I don’t think people are supposed to have a favorite but I guess I’d say lust, since it’s the most interesting, and probably one of the most acted upon, other than sloth.”
cinnamon hues rest upon the glass wall of the shop with what the brunette can only hope is a neutral expression. the surge of camera flashes were muted by the streaming sunlight of early afternoon, and the voices of the mob outside was just a mumble. “great,” the brunette sighed, slender arms crossing delicately against a lissome chest. she turns to her counterpart, eyebrows raising in accusation. “we’re going to be stuck here for hours, they can’t get the crowd to move.” the words are accompanied by a slight shake of her head. “this is all your fault, i was here first.”
turning around, genesis looked out the glass window. “jesus,” she hissed, already used to saying the lord’s name in vain after not being lectured for it. “what do you mean?” she asked, annoyed. “i mean.. how can’t they get them to move? what if we just go out there? i’m sure if we’re nice they’ll let us through, right?” the naive girl had been stuck in stores here and there before, but it was never this bad. “it is not!”
“see, i thought i’d figured out the perfect halloween costume.” charlotte explains as she slips back into her seat across from the other, fresh coffee in hand and picking up the conversation like she’d never gotten up for a refill in the first place. “then as i was shopping around for the actual costume i found out that, while still the perfect costume, i wasn’t the first to figure it out. turns out miranda kerr had the same idea only she had it last year and there’s no way i can wear it better than that woman. she’s a goddess.” she’s rambling and despite having said knowledge, charlotte can’t seem to stop. she blames it on her italian blood. “so, as they so wisely put it in mean girls, i’m going to go typical girl world halloween and wear lingerie with some form of animal ears.”
“what was the costume again?” genesis asked, looking up at charlotte. “because honestly, i feel as though you could totally pull it off. you don’t have to wear it like her or better than her, you could just wear it like you.” genesis laughed at the mean girl reference, pushing her hair behind her ear and thinking about what she should be, before asking the other female out loud. “what should i be? and hey, maybe we could pick out costumes together, if you’d want to do that.” the girl asked, excited about the fact that halloween was right around the corner. “so long as we find a way to get them without getting posted all over the tabloids.”
genesis sighed, looking over at the other and biting her lip before sighing, annoyed. “there are only a few things in this world that i dislike, and one of them is being asked a terrible question in the midst of an interview. like, i’m sorry that i’ve dated practically no one and have no good stories to tell you other than the same old ones about my father being a preacher.”
