How I Was Raised
I was raised very dependant of my parents. I had a partially new car, the education, money galor. But I never stood up for myself, never did anything myself. My parents always paid for me.
When I got a job, moved out, tried to be independant. I had a decent amount of money in the bank, but no guidance in the world.
Instead of people helping me, they wanted me to suffer.
"She's rich."
"Goody-goody."
"Her parents gave her everything, why should we help her?"
"Spoiled brat."
I never asked for it. I never wanted the money. Sure, it's nice. But I never took it for granted. I saved everything and never felt like I HAD to spend it.
I always thought the world was a place to work together. To help each other. I'm not asking for money. I'm asking for guidance. How do I do... life. It's not rainbows and unicorns, I know this. But how do you get that thick-skin.
I envy the poor... I wish I was less fortunate. Because the world looks so much better to them. Money is not happiness but simply a distraction from ignorance... for me.
