I check my watch. It’s nine pm on a Friday night …

New nonfiction up at Strip Mall Magazine. Thanks to the editors there, and thanks for reading about the few months I spent with underground street drifters in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This part reportage, part self-exploration means a lot to me!

Over this fall, I had the pleasure of collaborating with innovative and incredible composer, Skylar Warren, whom I am now so lucky to call a friend! We worked together over a number of months, meeting, talking, discussing feelings, moods, tones, and instruments to create this piece of music together around my poem "ADVICE FROM ENTITY II," which is an excerpt from a new manuscript I'm working on that's poetry/memoir hybrid. I wrote the words, and he wrote the music for both piano and vocals, and he arranged everything. This video is the final performance of our collaboration that began in September. Our vocalist was also exceptional, beautiful, Mayavati Prabhakar, soprano. The pianist is an incredible SUNY Binghamton piano professor, Mikayla Rogers. I'm really proud of this piece and the work we did together.

Wonderful to announce the publication of Roll with Advantage: Creative, Collaborative, and Critical Reflections on Dungeons & Dragons.

The D&D anthology I've been coediting is now live and ready to be downloaded for free, or purchased in print form.

This has truly been a long time coming and a labor of love! All the works in this anthology are part of the original vision of the book which was conceived back in 2019 with my colleague and friend Daniel Shank Cruz. We wanted to see both creative and critical works in one book talking about Dungeons and Dragons.
