Starting Fresh

In honor of the new moon and one month anniversary here in New York, I'm going to make a new Tumblr page on October 4th (the new moon). I'm going to use the URL I currently use and just change the URL on this page. My new page will be a bit more personal, mostly (if not only) posting personal pictures, my writing, my yoga practice, quotes I love, music I'm listening to and the food I eat.

How long do you think should someone work to make things right in a relationship, when the partner keeps finding faults in you, but you are completely in love with her ? Is love really worth all the pain ?

Oyy.. that’s a tough one and I’m not sure I can really answer that. In a way, I’m in the same predicament.

Ya see, I just moved to New York the beginning of this month, and before that I was living back home in Wisconsin with my boyfriend of nearly 6 years (I’ve literally been with him since I had just turned 16). But the past 2-3 years we both let our relationship deteriorate, and now more so than ever I feel he’s fighting/ holding on to something that may not realistically work out. Don’t get me wrong, I love him and always will (as cliche’ as it sounds, it’s true); but times are a changin’ and we won’t be living together for at least two years since I just moved to New York to get on my feet and established in what I want to do, and he’s moving to California to do the same for himself. So just to start, we’ll both be on opposite Coasts.

The thing about our relationship is it became very stagnant and we were both codependant on each other (which is not a good combo).

But honestly, the decision is up to you. I personally feel if you realistically see the relationship going no where and you’re just being hurt, why keep running 'round the hamster wheel? We're all dying, to put matters in a grim perspective. So in other words, be true to yourself and if you don't see things working out, be at peace with that and move on. She isn't the only one capable of lovin' you :)
