Last Minute CHRISTMAS HEADCANON since it’s still TECHNICALLY the season.

Billy is a HARDCORE BELIEVER in Santa Claus, and absolutely nothing can change his mind. This was well before, and well after receiving his powers and meeting the IRL Santa Claus (who CANONLY exists in the DC Universe) and NO AMOUNT of shitty situations of asshole adults, or mocking peers could dissuade him.

Because Billy ALWAYS receives presents from Santa Claus. Every Year.

Even AFTER his parents died, and he KNEW his Uncle Ebeneezer would never spend a dime on him, even in the Foster Homes where he would often be FORGOTTEN, or when he was living on the streets WITHOUT a proper home.

Every Christmas Morning there was always SOMETHING waiting for him labeled from Santa Claus, which makes sense. Considering Billy had probably been on the NICE LIST since BEFORE he was even born.

LOWKEY sometimes I like to imagine Tawny as this shape-shifting FAMILIAR that bonded to Billy after Shazam’s DEATH and now he just follows the Champion around as a tiny tiger striped KITTEN who sometimes shifts into a FULL GROWN FUCKING TIGER when Billy is being threatened. Other times there’s just a kitten in Billy’s hoodie pocket. He CAN shape shift into OTHER animals. He just doesn’t like too.

Quick EARTH-3 headcanons here! Just so I don’t FORGET them.

Goes by CAPTAIN THUNDER instead of Captain Marvel (will make fun of Prime-Billy for having a ‘stupid name’ at every chance.)

Cpt.Marvel & Cpt.Thunder HAVE fought before and from the ground it looks like the most epic fight ever but if you hear what they’re saying they’re really just screaming your typical 12 YEAR OLD insults at each other like kids fighting over Xbox live.

Billy is going ABSOLUTELY WILD with the power to defend himself and change his life for the better, stealing things and picking fights. Generally just being LOWKEY FERAL in a world where strength is valued over all else.

Mary & Freddy are the ONLY people in the whole world he cares about and if you even breathe in their direction wrong he will KILL YOU.

That’s a LIE he also adores Tawny (who in this reality does not talk or shapeshift but he’s a very good boy / was the WIZARD’S ASSISTANT anyway. Think the FOXES in the Library from ATLA.)

Shazam gave him his powers out of DESPERATION (much like in the Nu52 he simply was out of options) and this proved to be a MISTAKE. Shazam’s ghost haunts the Rock of Eternity and is very, very judgey.

Billy DOES NOT like him.

Would do almost ANYTHING for the lulz, but also stays well the fuck out of the way of anyone who could actually kill him cause he’s still like 12 and GENUINELY scared of the SYNDICATE.
