As for your day, that sounds pretty awful. But it’ll get better. There’s just a certain point where, jinx or not, it can’t get worse. I’d offer you a drink, but all I have is a bakery full of sweets, and I don’t know if they’d do much to give you a pleasant buzz, but I guarantee they’ll get the taste of seawater and sand off your tongue and leave only sweetness behind.
