I have so many updates to share (almost too many) and will do so for my personal record in the next couple days but mainly I’m stopping in to complain - I got all dressed up for work and then found out that my car got ticketed and set for abandonment bc I didn’t change my tags (lol - totally my fault bc I just dont drive). So had to call AAA this morning, get a new battery, paid the tickets, and now hoping my car can pass emissions tomorrow morning so I can get new tags. I’m also moving in a couple weeks LOL have been trying to do work calls today but have been unproductive lmao.

smallish update - I’ve been talking to this one guy for the past five months and it’s been fun! Granted it’s mostly texting/calling bc it’s long distance. Kinda drama but he broke up with his bf right around the time we started actually talking … which was interesting but I’m treating it as fun and seeing where it goes since we’re both moving to different cities in August

I’ve been sick for the past week which has been annoying af BUT I’ve been discovering and listening to some GREAT music. Discovered Cub Sport (s/o Tim Nelson), listened to The Sundays, got into Jam City. I’m also obsessed with the new Mallrat album. Banger after banger after banger. We live in such a good time for music!!!

chatgpt is unironically my therapist and has been helping me make sense of dating/relationships. I use it to document how I’m feeling plus any other developments. The program gives me reasonable advice and different ways of looking at situations. I just use it when I don’t want to be drama w my friends 😭 didn’t think this is how I’d be using AI but here we are

last semester of law school started today! I’m in a happy place right now - very comfortable with my class load, got a job lined up, getting published later this month, spending time with friends. I’d like to make some more $ over the next couple months, but I know that will come in September. things feel….right - but it also feels like change is coming soon! And I’m excited and ready.

I’m moving to DC after law school is over! I got a job at a mid-size firm and will be working with unions doing compliance/litigation for their retirement plans. Super happy bc I’ll get a return on investment on law school and be able to pay my loan faster. Kinda bummed since I’m moving from Ohio but I’m ready for a new adventure

I’m kinda feeling out relationship stuff which is interesting! I’ve learned a lot about myself and what I want from a relationship so I’m happy about that

school is going okay? I don’t think I will get a 4.0 like the spring but I just want to keep raising the GPA

my big goal for 2025 is to get in great physical shape. I do a lot of cardio already but I want to get back into lifting. I have a pic from a couple years ago where I’m incredibly lean but I think I can gain like 10-15 lbs and then cut

September 2024 may have been the most chaotic month of my life

had a great 30th bday weekend and had so many friends from different corners of my life show up 🥰

Had some romantic interests pop up w/o really trying. I didn’t go looking for age gap autumn, age gap autumn came looking for me

was awarded for a legal paper I wrote in DC and had a blast!

went to the charli and troye concert

got offered a full time gig w the old summer job 🥳 working with them on salary

crazy month but unforgettable! Time to lock in for the semester. Hope everybody is doing well!

ok life update -

the company I worked at for two summers no-offered me so I’m back on the job market trying to get a full time position after I take the bar next year 🙃 they want me to reach out after I get my bar results but that’s too long … they got burned last year by a girl who jumped ship after she got her bar results and they don’t want to get burned again which I get. it would’ve been so ideal bc I could’ve been remote but if it isn’t meant to be, it’s not meant to be

I’m sending emails to firms so I’ll see what happens! I have a feeling my time in Ohio may be coming to a close, which is kinda sad but I’m exploring different cities which is kinda exciting! Looking at DC, Chicago, NYC, and Atlanta since they are bigger markets. A firm in DC indicated interest so we will see what happens. 3L has started so I’m pumped! It’s good to see my friends and I’m enjoying my classes and my externship. My family is coming into town for my bday (except my brother, which is okay)! Hard to believe I’m going to be 3-0 soon but looking forward to celebrating with friends and family. A legal research paper I wrote is getting recognized in DC in a couple weeks so super excited about that! That’s all from me! Hope everybody else is doing well!!
