To anyone still confused on why people are upset, the right spent most of the Olympics yelling “leave politics out of this” and simultaneously sending death threats to some of my favorite olympians for speaking out respectfully against Trump. Those athletes have had their character attacked but the US men’s team can invite and party with the FBI director on OUR tax payer dollars, laugh at sexist jokes with a perverted president, and then show up all giddy at the White House in MAGA Trump hats. And somehow that’s ok? I’ve actually had devil fans online cursing at me saying I’m censoring free speech by being mad at Jack for laughing. Which is crazy on so many levels.

As a devils fan this whole thing breaks my heart but I honestly should have seen this coming. My experiences as a fan from 7 years old changed drastically by the age of 15 and I feel like as a woman I’m constantly being told passive aggressively that women don’t belong in hockey or that I’m not worthy enough to voice my thoughts. For a lot of women we are tired of our existence being the butt of the joke. We are tired of excusing men’s locker room talk. And any kind words he said about women prior to this in the media reveals itself as being PR! I’ve seen a lot of people saying cut him slack for laughing being he’s an “ally.” Holy moly treating women with basic human decency and giving props where it’s due is not being some sort of revolutionary feminist ally. AND acting supportive for the media while talking and mocking behind closed doors reveals you are being PERFORMATIVE. The Hughes family has always been sexist genocide accepting MAGA. And I think what I’m disappointed in the most is how disgusting the response has been from the NJ Devils fans (of course specifically men). They don’t listen to hear you out, they listen to explain how you’re wrong and after 14 years I no longer consider myself a NJ Devils fans. I think I’ll just stick with women’s hockey and figure skating unless anyone has had good experiences with a more liberal team. Open to suggestions!! 🩷

This 100% like I’m not tryna be a man hater or anything but there’s so much misogyny on tumblr, like you pointed out. They also forget these boys mom went to the Olympics, and Quinn was drafted way before them. They have time to prepare and parents that are very business oriented and keep them in check. But who you have around u reveals a lot about you and this SA case in Canada is revealing so much about the culture in hockey. Like I love Nico but I don’t put too much stock in what he does outside the ice. I just don’t idolize or romanticize any of these guys. Like with McLeod, I remember when he first came to the devils and my mom looooved him. He was good on our third line and we were really surprised to find out he was apart of r*pe. That woman’s story is like my worst nightmare. Gossiping about these guys can be fun sometimes but these parasocial relationships r crazy. Sadly I think she deleted her VSCO :((( that’s the user that I found it under but now when I search for it on VSCO it doesn’t show up. I’ll try to do some more digging but I think she must have deleted it at the same time she deleted her insta. When Akira was on the devils she used to have a ton on her vsco and her insta too she would interact with loads of fans and post a lot and then she must of started getting hate or something cause she deleted everything, was off social media for a while, and now she had an insta again but only 92 followers and 66 following. I don’t think she accepts fans anymore 😞

Sure a lot of Americans are ignorant, thats really fucking obvious from how many people voted for Trump. But they are part of the problem. We are literally bombing Yemen right now and many Americans don’t know. That doesn’t mean you just give up, what are government is doing is not ok. It’s insane I have to beg you to have empathy. Those babies, those kids they deserve to live. You are so privileged to have been born here or to be living here.

You don’t just let innocent people die especially when our government is contributing to the suffering. You educate people and advocate. And literally it’s so simple for Jack to have basic compassion and empathy and just not date someone that supports genocide. I definitely get what you’re saying about Jack at least tolerating Sammy’s political views, and he’s definitely more conservative leaning and I would say he voted for Trump if I had to guess (not that that means he’s a Trump supporter) IDK how old you are but i’m in college and a lot of girls I know are super liberal and they talk all about freeing Palestine and reproductive rights . And then they go back into their apartments to their boyfriends that are hard-core Trump supporters. So a lot of people don’t really give a crap about political things that they say they do. 

I used to have some friends like that, I no longer hang out with them because they didn’t like me calling their hypocrisy out. Like even if that’s the situation with Jack, it’s still not ok. Those girls probably publicly talk about those things and then don’t actually send emails/ calls to elected officials, vote, donate, etc. That’s performative activism and it’s still not ok. A lot of American people aren’t properly educated on the conflict but as a Palestine supporter your goal should be to educate and hold people accountable. You shouldnt just be like “ohh it’s ok if he doesn’t care”. I truly don’t believe you care about Palestine if you’re still stanning people that are surrounded/ dating Zionists and are choosing to be “apolitical” 🙄 like you can’t date a nazi and still claim to be apolitical. And truly… what type of friends do you guys have 😬 My friends literally put “pro-womens rights, blm, I stand with Ukraine/Palestine” on their dating profiles. We live in Texas and still manage to find friends/ date with the boundaries of needing to agree on these political issues. And even if I couldn’t find anyyy men near me I would be single. I just could not stand to date someone like that. And again Jack literally travels and has a much bigger dating pool just cause of who is he/money. There’s really no excuse

I hate people like this because they purposely misconstrue what we say just to act like we’re hating on Sammy for no reason. Being a Zionist is just one of a huge list of reasons to dislike her (not hate like people constantly say). And again, her being a Zionist still doesn’t mean Jack agrees. I’m sure he’s friends with a lot of people with views he doesn’t agree with. He works in a field where we know some players have wild views. Doesn’t mean he necessarily agrees. As somebody who grew up in a small town in the south, you kind of realize you have no choice but to be friends and date with people who share wildly different views than you unless you want to travel out of your way to find people. I obviously have a choice and have been able to find more left leaning friends, but I still have friends who are the opposite.

And my statement about Israel propaganda is 100% correct. By Dec 2024 Israel spent $150 Mill to sway global opinion. Jewish churches in America provide a huge amount of funding to Israel. They support and lobby programs like AIPAC. As someone that used to attend a Jewish church I KNOW they tell you events that literally contradict what’s being shown on the news. I definitely should have been more broad with my statement but there is a huge link between religious institutions and antisemitism. The largest American pro-Israel lobbying group is Christians United for Israel. So yes himself and his parents are likely being fed BS.

As for anons last statement, Jack literally does have the privilege and luxury to travel to date someone. Literally anyone and he CHOSE her. Like genuinely what do u think he fell in love with? Her heart? her compassion? Her empathy???

When did Jack follow Kai Trump? I've never seen anything about that. Are you sure you're not confusing Jack with Will Smith? Ik Will Smith followed her at one point. Also regardless of politics, it would be really creepy if Jack followed because she is 17 and he is 24.

It was a couple years ago around the Biden vs Trump election and he unfollowed her quick but it 100% was Jack. My friend was using one of those apps that tracks who a celebrity follows/unfollowed and was so shocked. Yes it was a while ago and people might change but I added that to my other post cause based on the company he keeps he likely agreed with them politically. Guys I am not Reece nor do I know her.

I got a tumblr account like 4 years ago while I had an eating disorder, deleted the app and then redownloaded when I first made a Nico Hischier fan page in 2022 (@nicohischierupdated) so I can stay active and see pics/updates on Nico. I also legit made an X account just for that purpose also. I occasionally look at wags vscos. I don’t monitor it’s just kind of whenever I remember. I got the idea when pics of Lorena and Nico first came out here on tumblr from her vsco. But I obviously haven’t found much luck cause a lot of these wags are diff countries/ older and just don’t used VSCO. I just got pics of Nico from Brooks VSCO (Akira’s gf). Anyways when Nicole posted the photobooth pics YESTERDAY on her story I was like omg maybe there’s more including Nico. Found nothing on insta, fb, Pinterest, I tried ALL the wags on tumblr and Ari was the only one with an account. It was really easy to find, it was literally her insta name 🤷🏻‍♀️ Sadly no Nico so I couldn’t post so I figured I’d just post that on here. I have no clue if Reece is on here but I am not her and don’t know her. I’m still waiting to even be accepted into her account. I am not consistent with keeping up with hockey gossip, I’m not even consistent with posting. Can not eating affect the kidney??

Recently went to the doctor for blood and urine tests. Blood tests were fine but my doctor says my urine test revealed there's too much protein in my urine. They want me to do another urine test because that might mean I have a kidney leak, leaking too much protein or something like that. It could be completely unrelated but this is the first time i’ve gone to the doctor since developing anorexia and i’m scared they’ll figure it out. Can they tell from urine tests? Does not eating affect the kidney?? Is there a way to prepare for my next urine test??? Please help !!!!! Any advice or tips are deeply appreciated <3
