when stan needs advice, he obviously canât go to his parents; oftentimes he canât go to kyle either (because sometimes the advice is about him).. so when he needs someone to talk to he goes to chefâs gravestone and talks to himself for a while trying to think of what chef would say to make him feel better

Cartman didnât think girls could be superheroesâ Thatâs what he said to Wendy Testaburger. Was this to prove Eric wrong, or was it to prove herself she was actually worth something? Nah, she was just bored. Thatâs why she joined the game.
But she ended up doing a lot of good. Even in day time, she just helped an old lady across the street. Stopped a simple robber who tried to steal someoneâs purse. Catching some 5th graders terrorizing younger kids.
The sun had been long since set, the darkness swallowing the city, the only sources of light being the moon and the lonely drivers with their lights on who passed the building Kitty was sitting on. Tangling her legs over the edge, just looking down and⊠Basically overthinking every possible thing. She should be writing an essay, right now. Fuck high school.
Her latex and leather costume hugged her body, basically showing every possible curve she had on her, but at least it was easy to move in. She couldnât see anything inappropriate about it. And she had a cape, mostly to keep her warm when she was just sitting there and not doing anythingâŠ
She had cat ears over the leather mask that covered most of her face, she had leather gloves with small claws in them. She didnât wanna rip off The Coon too much.
To keep herself busy, Shana had jumped off onto the next rooftop, eyeing down in the alley. She felt immortal, the pain just made her feel like nothing could hurt her moreâ
And thatâs when she slipped off the edgeâŠ
Kenny McCormick hadnât had a direction in his life or the same burning sense of justice before his sister Karen was born. Seeing her fragile, tiny body shivering in a cheap blanket, never having the luxury of being born in a hospital, had awakened something in him, a side of him that wanted to nurture, to protect. He wanted to nurture his sister, and he wanted to protect his city. So he decided to also ânurtureâ his newfound sense of self, and thus had emerged his superhero persona, Mysterion. That was the simplest way to put it.
Cloaked in a homemade cape that went along with his kickass costume (taking home ec so long ago had actually proven useful, no matter what snide remarks his friends had to say about it), Mysterion swiftly moved through a darkened alley, feeling as if he were one with the night. He wasnât physically invincible or even remarkably strong, but Kenny believed that making a difference didnât always mean being involved in confrontations. As he had once said, every little bit helps. Heâd been spending the night seeking out crimes to report to the police, and intervening at times that he could. Heâd stopped a group of sixth graders from stomping on a catâs tail, and scared the living daylights out of a troubled-looking ginger teen who had been spraypainting penises on the side of Skeeterâs Bar. Although his impact had been made in, some would say, small amounts here and there, Mysterion was starting to earn a somewhat positive reputation around town, and it made him happy that the Coon was still a nobody in the eyes of the townspeople. As he walked, he reflected on this with a smirk.
A moving figure from above his vision caught the corner of Kennyâs eye, and he had barely moved his head to look up in time to see the sight of a body falling from the building beside him. The person was falling fast, and he didnât have much time to think - he had to act.
Kenny lunged forward with his arms out, bracing himself for an impact that although would hit them both hard, would hopefully soften the blow of the falling body. With a whoomph, Kenny was knocked to his knees as the figure fell on him full force. He had managed to catch the person in his arms, but the force of his own fall had caused them to slide out of his grasp and onto the alley ground. Desperately, his wide eyes searched the person to see if they were alive or not. He checked the pulse of their wrist, and let out a sigh of relief as he felt blood pumping.
âHey - are you okay!?â
Immortal? She felt like an idiot.
Obviously a small yelp had left her lips as she felt herself falling, preparing for a big hit and serious injuriesâ Instead, her fall had been slowed down. And it possibly saved her life. It still hurt and she was pretty shook up about it, but as she groaned and raised her head to see who was stupid enough to be her hero andâ
âMysterion?â
Shana remembered to do her âKittyâ voice, a little husky, sort of silvery voice, which was a little different from her usual one. So nobody could tell right away who she was behind that costume.
âIâm fine-â
Wow, did she feel stupid now. What a superhero.
âThank youâŠâ
Her voice was low, as if she was sort of ashamed for this. Great way to start up her career as a hero. She sat up completely, adjusting the mask on her face and making sure her hair didnât fall out.. thatâd give her identity away at least.
âAre you okay?â
âWhat? I mean - yeah, Iâm fine - itâs you I was worried about,â Mysterionâs voice had squeaked into his own for a second at first, the question had caught him off guard. He coughed slightly and adjusted his mask, slightly ajar from the spill he took.
There were several questions running through his mind, he couldnât decide whether to ask a single one. What had this girl been doing on top of the roof in the middle of the night? What was with her whole cat getup? Could she be another teenage vigilante out fighting crime, or was she just some nutball who thought she was invincible enough to climb rooftops in the dead of night?
He was tempted to react to the fact that she had seemed to know him, had called him by his personaâs name. But he decided better of it - after all, being recognized was a good thing for him, so why question it? He was still more perplexed by this girl he didnât recognize at all.
âYou took quite a fall there. I was worried I wasnât going to get to you in time,â he spoke in his personaâs voice - a voice heâd worked hard, and was proud of, to perfect. Kenny was a creative soul at heart, and making Mysterionâs outfit, voice, and character had allowed him to express his artistic side in a way that he couldnât really do otherwise. âYou should be careful on the rooftops, especially out here at night. You probably already know that, but itâs just a warning. Iâve slipped and fallen a few times myself, and Iâve woken up right where I started,â Kenny laughed lightly as he said that last part. But then he realized it was a joke that wouldnât really make sense to someone else, so he fell silent. And it wasnât really a joke.
Kenny brushed off his legs from the asphalt and stood up, extending his hand to the girl on the ground. He half-expected her to swat it away, but he didnât really know this person well enough to be sure. This person, overall, seemed to be a mystery to Kenny; a collection of questions that he couldnât answer, or even ask.
His eyes became misty as just for a second, looking at that mysterious, rooftop-climbing cat-eared girl on the ground, he saw just a glimpse of Karen in that girl. It was a fleeting thought, but one that made that feeling arise in him, that inexplicable urge to protect and keep safe at all costs. Kenny quickly barred himself from these thoughts, on account of this girl being a stranger (and a very suspicious one, at that). Still, seeing the âfalling girlâ in that light wasnât easy to forget. Heâd remember this girl, even if it was only to figure out who she was. He was sure of that.
âWell, Iâm glad that youâre safe and unharmed. Thatâs whatâs most important. Do you need a hand up?â
If she hadnât been so shaken up, she wouldâve taken more note in his little joke. A joke that wouldâve made her realize who was behind the mask. She remembered, all of it. Every single death of Kennyâs since she came around. She mourned him, butâ He kept coming back. As if nothing had happened. She thought she was just crazy, but it kept happening.
Wouldâve given him away if she hadnât just almost died.
Her emerald hues landed on his extended hand that he offered, but she had to keep up her Kitty persona and as his question hit her, she shook her head. With a low grunt, the girl got up back onto her feet. Her legs and neck felt sore- Fuck, and she had to pretend she was okay the next day.
âThank you. Again.â She grumbled in that mysterious voice of hers, before placing her hand on her waist and turning on her heels to face him completely.
âIâm KittyâŠ-â.
Donât become friendly with him! A voice shouted in her head, maybe one that she shouldâve listened, but she saw something in him⊠Something that made her feel safe. There was a familiar feel to him. Maybe she knew the guy behind the mask.
For this moment, she had forgotten all about being upset. Well, a near death experience was one way to forget it.
âKitty. I like it,â he said with a small smile, uncharacteristic of his personaâs serious nature, but he didnât really see this girl as a threat, so his guard was lowered if only a bit. The real Kenny McCormick would always have a weakness for cute and nice girls, and that part of him egged him on to be just a bit friendly. Who knows when heâd see this mysterious cat girl again, anyhow? âMatches your outfit,â he remarked. He wondered how intentional that was.
Still, Kenny had a more pressing question. Was this girl a vigilante herself? All signs seemed to be pointing to that answer. She had a costume, a name that matched her costume, she was out prowling rooftops in the middle of the night. But how did one go about asking a virtual stranger if they were actually a superhero? He settled on returning an introduction to the girl in the meantime.
âIâm Mysterion. And youâre welcome. You can call on me if you ever need anything. Thatâs what heroes do.â He watched the girls face closely as he said the word âheroâ for any sign that would indicate familiarity with the word. A lot of people knew about the vigilantism in South Park, but just knowing was, of course, different from being. It had slipped his mind that the girl had previously recognized him and thus no introduction was necessary, but Kenny would have done it out of politeness anyway.
He felt his heart rate spike at the thought that this girl could leave into the night without him having an answer to his question. But he took a deep breath. Not knowing wasnât the end of the world, he told himself. And what was the harm if there was another superhero protecting South Park? As long as they werenât anything like the Coon. That thought made him cringe, but he told himself it was one he didnât need to stress over - this person didnât seem anything like that asshole. They seemed serious, poised, and gentle.
âAnd if youâre going to run around South Park at night, just be careful and keep yourself safe. Even strong people can get hurt.â
Shana glances down at her outfit, arching a brow at him. Like no shit it matches her outfit, thatâs the point.
She allowed a small scoff, followed by a chuckle at his words on him being a hero. Sure, he was. Someone she looked up to. But why was he so nice? She couldâve been working with the Coon or Professor Chaos for all he knew.
The masked girl tilted her head, her arms crossing over her chest. Her gaze back on the ground- She was pretty sure there was only one thing that could give her away, and it was her hair. Which is why she had it covered in the mask. And nobody cares enough to notice the details, like her body type or the color of her eyes.
She raised her head again to take a look at his eyesâ Just staring into them for a moment as he spoke. Blue. Bluest sheâs seenâ But they seemed familiar.
Snapping back to reality, she cracked a small smile before offering her hand for a friendly handshake. âYou too, Mysterion.â
Kenny took her hand and shook it, touchung the claws on the leather gloves. âGoodbye for now,â was all he said. He felt like he should keep an eye on this girl, because she suspicious or because he was curious he couldnât decide. He thought about hanging behind and following her to see what she was up to for the rest of the night, but he decided that stalking wasnât very hero-like. And she would probably notice him, anyways. He withdrew his hand from her and swiped at the back of his head. âMaybe weâll meet again.â
âI hope so.â
Kitty smirked, having a hard time on keeping her persona voice, before starting to walk away, only the clicking of her heels echoingâ Before she jumped to go climb up the fire escape to the rooftops.
Did she seriously just have her ass saved by Mysterion? M y s t e r i o n.
She took a longer way home, through the woodsâ Just to make sure she wasnât followed as she got back to her little old red house. Which was way too close to CartmanâsâŠ
Climbing over her fence to the backyard proved she was still sore from the fall, but maybe a good nightâs rest was gonna help. Until sheâd have to go to school the next morning.
Kenny watched the girl descend up the fire escape curiously. He shook his head. That had been a weird meeting. But he was glad heâd been there when he did so that he could help.
He walked briskly through the alley, cutting corners between buildings and pathways until he got to the long stretch of road that lead to his house. The fire escape had been Kennyâs usual shortcut, save for his other âshortcutâ that would allow him to immediately wake up in his bed. But Kenny had changed up his path that night so that Kitty didnât think he was following her (not that he hadnât considered it).
By the time Kenny got home, he was met with the relieving sight of a quiet house with no light on. He thanked god, it meant his parents werenât up and fighting. On the way in to his room, he peeked open his little sisterâs door to make sure she was safe and asleep. He had a habit of doing that when he spent the night out, and it made him feel secure. Mysterionâs outfit came off and Kenny slept away the few hours he had left before school.
As the alarm clock rang a few hours later, Shana just threw it out the window, before forcing herself up. Putting her hair to look like she wasnât homeless, getting into her usual outfit of a dark hoodie and jeans. Making sure she had all of her stuff, before walking downstairs.
As she went out, she grabbed her lunch money, and two apples that she could munch on on her way towards Kennyâs house. A house she went to every morning, just to make sure he would comeâ Hopefully he hadnât had a too terrible morning.
Kenny awoke to the sound of his motherâs shrill voice screaming his name. He figured it was a half-attempt at being a good parent to try to wake Kenny up for school, and he probably would have slept in if it werenât for hearing it. But Kenny was used to feeling nothing but disappoiment and mistrust for his parents. Kenny hurriedly changed out of his pajamas and shrugged on his usual orange outfit, throwing up his hood and pulling the strings so that it was tight over his face without bothering to brush his messy hair.
He went into the kitchen and had an all-too-typical breakfast of toast and water, and kissed Karen on the head and hugged her before saying goodbye to his mom and dad and bounding out the front door. His little part of town was even more of a train wreck since the whole âgentrificationâ ordeal, and those same people who had built up entire stores and pavilions right on the side of his house had deserted it, leaving behind somewhat of a âdystopian wastelandâ as he liked to think of it.
Kenny saw Shana standing a ways outside of his house and waved to her. (Hey, Shana!) he greeted her, his friendly voice was muffled from his parka yet still comprehensible. Something he appreciated about his classmate was that she was always waiting outside of his house in the morning, it was something his other friends didnât do, and it had become a routine for him. He didnât mind it, it made him feel like he was being looked out for, in a weird way.
âHeya, Kenny!â
A routine that she grew to love. Though she felt sorry for him, if she could change the environment he was in, she would.
Each time she watched his life drain away from his eyes or his guts spilled, she became more unsure whether he would come back the next day. But there he was. It made her happyâ
âC'mon, weâre gonna be late!â
Shana went to throw the second apple to him. He needed a proper breakfast.
âYou okay? You look tired..â
(Woah, thanks!) Kenny said as he caught the apple in his gloved hand. To someone else, it probably wasnât a big deal, but for Kenny, having fruit was a rare occurance. His family couldnât afford to buy fruit, especially not the fresh, bright-looking kind like the apple Shana had tossed him. He was accustomed to a diet of bread and crackers, so he was grateful.
When Shana did kind things for him, he knew it was probably because she pitied him. He felt guilty, in a way, the more she looked out for him, but she seemed almost dutiful about it and he would have found it impossible to turn her away. And it was, honestly, so helpful that he couldnât be unappreciative. Kenny shined the apple slightly and shoved it in his pocket, deciding to give it to Karen after school. A diet of toast had to be worse for a little girl than for him.
Her question suddenly hit Kenny, and remembered he had to cover for himself. (Oh, yeah, Iâm alright. My parents were up late, and I couldnât sleep for a while,) he said casually, picking up his pace to keep up along Shana. He didnât want to be late either; getting a call home to his parents meant getting yelled at and he didnât want to deal with it. (Iâll wake up more once I get to school!)
(Uh, did you sleep well?) Kenny hated how he sounded using filler language, but he had a harder time making small talk with Shana than he did with Stan, Kyle, and Cartman. Mostly because he could act a certain way around them that he felt he couldnât around Shana, wanting to spare her at least some of his usual vulgarity (though he didnât hide that side of him completely). It wasnât that Kenny was uncomfortable around her, it was more like he felt a need to act dignified around her. Maybe he was trying to impress her? He had a habit of doing that with girls. (I mean, you donât look tired though. You look fine!) He chuckled at himself, laughing inwardly that heâd just called Shana âfineâ.
There was something most kids didnât know about her. She wasnât exactly rich herself. The fact she was living with her single dad and big brother, didnât mean they had a great income. But she really felt like she needed to spoil Kenny. She saw so much good in him and the fact she saw him die every single day each day more horrible than the other, made her think he deserved more than he was getting.
Shana chuckled and looked away from him. He just called her fineïżŒâŠ
âUh⊠yeah, I stayed up late working on my presentation.â
Maybe she will wake up more when she got to school as well.
Shanaâs gaze fell onto his hands, biting down on her tongue. He deserve more than she could possibly give him. Not that he wanted anything from HER⊠why would he be interested in that? He had friends. If he asked them they could provide⊠well, maybe except Cartman.
âwhatâs your English presentation about?â
(We.. we had an English presentation?) Kenny felt a pit in his stomach. (I guess I flaked on it. Again,) he admitted, his eyes cast to the ground. He couldnât call himself much of a superhero if he couldnât even keep up with his schoolwork. Maybe sneaking out at night so often was causing him to be more forgetful. He wondered if his priorities were truly in the right order.
(Fuck. Maybe I can write something once I get to class,) Kenny reasoned, more as a comfort to himself than an actual commitment. (What was yours about?)
âMysterion.â
She replied almost immediately, glancing at the bag over her shoulder. After all, he was on her mind all night after what happened.
âAnd The Coon and Kitty are mentioned.â
Weird to make presentation involving herself. She was like Cartman⊠But itâd be more suspicious if it wasnât mentioned at all if she was more known each nightâŠ
âDoes that seem dumb?â
(Oh! Cool!) That hadnât exactly been a reaction, but more Kenny being surprised at first because heâd thought Shana had actually been addressing him. Jeez, calm down, he told himself in his head, realizing what she meant. âKittyâ brought back immediate images of last nightâs encounter.
(I donât know that much about Kitty. But The Coon is a fucking asshole.) he said, though it was already pretty obvious. (Mysterionâs cool, though!) he laughed a little, knowing it was only a self-serving compliment.
Something else struck him odd now that he thought about it. It wasnât that Shana was doing a report on the superheroes; most of the kids in their class talked about them. It was more how heâd just now realized how Shana seemed kind of similar to the vigilante heâd met last night. For one, their eyes seemed to share a resemblance. Kenny had only met Kitty once, and didnât have a lot of details to go by as sheâd been in a costume that obscured her identity. But he could remember the green eyes, a hue that both of them had in common. And on second glance, their boobs seemed to be the same size. Shana had the biggest boobs in class, and you could count on Kenny McCormick to know the sizes of every girl. He wasnât sure if their similarities were just coincidence or something more, but he decided heâd keep it in mind in case there were actually something to his observation.
Shana smiled, looking forward almost dreamily. She was reliving last night. Mysterion? Cool? Definitely. She had to wonder what he was like without the mask. Who he was- I guess it was only natural to have a little crush on the superhero everyone was talking about, who saved her life the night before. But it'd pass, right? She did like someone else too. Someone she knew she didn't have a chance with. Someone she's liked and adored since 4th grade...
Her gaze turned to look at the blonde next to her, a small hint of a smile still on her lips. "Honestly, I couldn't get that much information on him- Only what I've seen or heard from others. I guess, you're gonna have to wait and see...
Can't promise it's any good, though."
She had a pretty good idea who The Coon was. Only one person in South Park that fat and that self involved-- and sexist. But Mysterion? A mystery. For now.
âLet me walk you home.â
âYou donât need toâŠâShe hummed and looked down at the ground.
âI mean. Yeah,â Kenny kicked at the ground absentmindedly. âI know. But I could. We could just walk together,â he offered awkwardly, shoving his mitten-covered hand into the pocket of his parka. It was harder to sound tough and cool when he wasnât Mysterion.
âWell⊠Iâd really appreciate thatâŠâ she whispered, as if she didnât desperately w a n t him to come. But didnât wanna seem that way or want to bother him.
âItâs cold and dark, so..â
He smiled and nodded. âOh. Cool,â he said, trying to sound casual. He was always happy to spend more time with Shana. Especially if he could help her out at all.
âYâknow, itâs kinda surreal to walk around South Park at night. Sometimes you see weird shit.â he started, trying to make an attempt at conversation.
Shana hummed a little bit, trying to stay close to him-- but not too close-- as they walked.
"Yeah? Like what? Cartman dressed as a raccoon, roaming in the garbage cans trying to find food?"
An attempt to be funny.
âLet me walk you home.â
âYou donât need toâŠâShe hummed and looked down at the ground.
âI mean. Yeah,â Kenny kicked at the ground absentmindedly. âI know. But I could. We could just walk together,â he offered awkwardly, shoving his mitten-covered hand into the pocket of his parka. It was harder to sound tough and cool when he wasnât Mysterion.
"Well... I'd really appreciate that..." she whispered, as if she didn't desperately w a n t him to come. But didn't wanna seem that way or want to bother him.

"Mysterion."
She replied almost immediately, glancing at the bag over her shoulder. After all, he was on her mind all night after what happened.
"And The Coon and Kitty are mentioned."
Weird to make presentation involving herself. She was like Cartman. . . But it'd be more suspicious if it wasn't mentioned at all if she was more known each night...
"Does that seem dumb?"
MBTI + South Park: Kenny McCormick- ISTP âThe VirtuosoâÂ
And the worst part? Nobody even remembers me dying. I go to school the next day, and everyone is just like, âOh hey Kenny.â Even if they had seen me get decapitated with their own eyes.

"Heya, Kenny!"
A routine that she grew to love. Though she felt sorry for him, if she could change the environment he was in, she would.
Each time she watched his life drain away from his eyes or his guts spilled, she became more unsure whether he would come back the next day. But there he was. It made her happy--
"C'mon, we're gonna be late!"
Shana went to throw the second apple to him. He needed a proper breakfast.
"You okay? You look tired.."
