Oh, and we are Americans 🇺🇸. Yes, American citizens. For more than 100 years, in fact.
We also speak Spanish and English AND we have served in the US military since 1917. Yes, really!
We receive $22.5 million 💵 a year in social assistance and government grants; BUT we produce over $73 billion for the US economy.
Why do we have two surnames? Because women do not lose their last name when they get married and because we do not forget our mothers.
Our small island, surrounded by great waters, gives more members to military service than any other state of the US.

We are a beautiful and interesting mixture of blood; 34% Taino 👦🏽, 33% European 👱🏼♂ and 33% African🧔🏿-which gives us an incredible drive to survive. Nothing breaks our Spirit, nothing! 🤞🏼
