He was taunting him, Renji knew that. But did he really have the gall to actually do it? It’s not like it’d be the first time he’d done it, but for some reason, having Szayel staring at him, almost testing him in a way, made him grow nervous. Taking a deep breath, Renji glared and sucked up the courage he should always have and leaned in, giving in to his temptation and Szayel’s provocation and kissed him.
