okay okay so lemon sharks are a part of the requiem shark family, and while i dont think she would be a lemon shark, i do think she would be a part of that family. that being said, i think she would be a spinner shark! so spinner sharks are slender, with a long narrow pointed snout and short (frankly inconspicuous) anterior nasal flaps. they have small cusped teeth, small circular eyes, and long gill slits. they can be found in warm-temperate to tropical atlantic, indian, and pacific oceans and mediterranean sea on continental and insular shelves, commonly close inshore, off beaches, in bays, and off river mouths. they are a very active, schooling shark, and are primarily a fish eater, especially feeding on schooling fishes like mackerel. their name comes from they way they feed: by swimming rapidly upwards through schools of fish with its mouth open, spinning along its horizontal axis and snapping in all directions, then it shoots, while still spinning, out of the water. they are considered vulnerable.
okay okay so i think she would be a zebra shark. theyre known for their patterns. they can be found in the indian and west pacific oceans, tropical continental and insular shelves, east africa to japan, new caledonia and palau in coral reefs, sand between reefs and offshore sediments. theyre behavior is poorly known. they are considered endangered.
now i think she would be among the lantern shark family, more specifically the lined lanternshark. they have a slender body and a long caudal fin, and their gill openings are very short. they have longitudinal rows of denticles on their head, sides, and back, extending to their caudal fin base. their body is normally a dark sooty grey color, but they have a lighter band on the midline from their eyes to their first dorsal fin. thye can be found in the northwest and central atlantic, southern usa, caribbean and colombia on continental slopes, on or near the bottom. their behavior is poorly known and they are considered least concern.
okay okay so i think she would be a porbeagle shark. they are very similar to salmon sharks, but have a longer, more pointed snout. in the southern hemisphere they have dusky marking on their underside, but in the north atlantic, sharks have light undersides. they can be found in the north atlantic and southern hemisphere in cool water, but juveniles tend to prefer warmer water compared to adults. they can often be located inshore to continental offshore fishing banks. theyre migratory, moving inshore and to the surface in summer and offshore in deeper water during winter. theyre very curious and may approach boats and divers but are not dangerous. they are considered vulnerable globally but critically endangered in the northeast atlantic and mediterranean.
a bluntnose spiny dogfish. they are small bodied with a short angular snout and a relatively wide mouth, almost as long as the snout. they can be found in southwest atlantic, to southeast indian ocean, southern angola to east coast of south africa, usually inshore to upper continental slopes. theyre very social, often forming large dense schools. they are considered near threatened.
