these images are examples of liminal spaces. the word liminal, meaning intermediate state (in the middle). liminal spaces are waiting areas in between points in time. these images may make you feel nostalgic, which comes off as unsettling. this is simply just because we all have been to these places, or places like this. we’ve all been to malls, parking lots, hotels, etc. you remember these photos because a transformation took place here. we learned to change here,or began to change, even if it was a small change. these photos are merely just what you can remember through your growing period.
