Swag rolled off the couch he’d taken possession of and squinted. He was sure that nobody was around. It was pretty late at night.

Pulling open the door, he made a befuddled face. …was that Fred? Half-dead on his feet?

“Uh, hey, dude. You doin’ okay? You don’t look so good…”

Swag didn’t really want a chocolate donut with a bite out of it. He shrugged.

“We hung out, first,” he started, but then he paused. Swag wasn’t sure when everything had gotten topsy-turvy. “I came by t'bug her, wasn’t sure why I wanted to. After a while my brothers started makin’ jokes and I realized I thought that Shocky’s… wow.”

“Aw. Lauren says the same thing about you all the time.” And it was true. Fred knew Lauren loved Swag, he wanted to make sure that love wouldn’t die. And he might be a superhero enthusiast, but he’s also a romance enthusiast.

Some people even call him ‘The love doctor’ Actually no one calls him that.

“As your Shocky’s sibling, I need to make sure you’ll be there for her when I absolutely cannot. WIll you make sure you’ll keep her safe while she’s here?” Now he’s on to his second donut.

“Oh, I trust my Lauren, it’s just she’s never been this happy before. She used to always locking herself in her lab, rarely ever coming out. Always anxious about.. things. But then she met you. I don’t want her to go back to that.”

“So I wanna know why. How’d you do it?” He asked, offering him the donut he just picked up.

It’s weird to come to someone’s house with the intention of grilling them and then ending up raiding their fridge, but if anybody would do it it would probably be Fred. “Help yourself?”

“Why d'we gotta talk? …did Shocky say somethin’ was bad?” Nervous nerd is nervous.

The first food he goes after? The donuts. Preferably chocolate glazed.

He seemed nervous. The plan was working, “I’m here to make sure nothing goes bad at all.” He said with a serious look on his face, taking a bite out of the donut, “So, Swaaag, tell me, when you got together with Lauren, were you willing to accept her for her?” Now he’s circling around him slowly, and he was very intimidating with chocolate glaze on his chin.

“I’m… fine.” Well, bouncing around from rooftop to rooftop wasn’t really healthy on an empty stomach. “I’m a little hungry, exhausted, and forgot what I was here for..” His stomach growled from within the suit. “What was I here for?” He asked him, hoping he knew what Fred was here for.

Swag shrugged. “I don’t know. I just opened the door,” Swag said dismissively, holding up both of his hands. “Maybe you were here for free food?”

Aunt Cass usually didn’t mind giving the Nerd Herd free food. The day-old baked stuff got stale if someone didn’t eat it.

“But I gotta ask why you’re wearin’ the costume just to grab something to eat.”

Nothing was better than free food… Unless it was moldy. Maybe that’s what he was here for. But Heathcliff could of probably made him something before he left, but his depart was kind of unannounced.

“I… don’t know. Though I’m positive that’s not exactly what I’m here for…” OH!- He pointed at him, “Now I know! You’re the guy my sister’s been dating. We need to have a little chat, but first– Could I still eat that free food? Is it still an option?”
