How would their dynamic change if Iwaizumi was a girl?
Oh oh oh this is interesting. I never really think about one of them being a girl. But if Iwa is the girl, I think the most distinct changes in their dynamic would be:
Fem!Iwaizumi + Oikawa dynamic headcanons
Oikawa being much more protective of Iwaizumi. Just like Iwa is programmed with the idea of taking care of Oikawa because sheâs the older of the pair, Oikawa believes that he has to protect Iwa because heâs the boy.Â
(It doesnât really bother Iwaizumi of Oikawaâs protective nature until they enter high school and Iwa starts getting attentions from boys.)Â
They banter and make fun of each other, but Oikawa never makes fun of Iwaâs appearance (for one he thinks itâs inappropriate to make fun of a girlâs appearance and two he thinks Iwa is very pretty and âadorably petite.â) Heâd rather tease her how her angry face makes her look all red and cute.
Iwaizumi as a boy is very popular among boys, but as a girl, sheâs not so popular among her own gender. Girls, especially those in the Oikawa fan club, are either extra good to her because they want to get closer to Oikawa or hostile towards Iwa because sheâs too close to their Oikawa-san. (Iwa is still very popular among her club members.)
Iwaizumi would be more sensitive about the nickname Iwa-chan and keep protesting against Oikawa using it.Â
Instead of mastering volleyball-to-the-head attack, Iwaizumi would master a perfect poker face when she gets angry with Oikawa and never budges no matter how hard Oikawa tries to butter her up or pleads.Â
Iwaizumi is direct with her compliments to make sure Oikawa always knows how good he is, but sheâs more awkward with her feelings and Oikawa gets overwhelmingly happy (and always makes a scene like getting watery, sparkling eyes at her) when Iwa shows small gestures of getting affectionate (like holding out her hand for his or giving him a kiss.)
So I suppose thatâs the tip of ice berg of fem!Iwa with Oikawa. (ŕšÂ´ă `)
