"better for seeing you" he replied, his arms still wrapped around her. "is everything sorted out now? Are you back for good? Have you got time for a coffee?"

"Probably not for good but for a while, if I'm being honest. I sent my kids off to school so I've got a bit of free time for a few months. How have you been?"

He finally broke the hug and stepped backwards.

"I've been okay, still headmaster at the school, although thinking of giving it up and either going back to teaching potions or finally opening that store we talked about"

"That seems like a lifetime ago, " Jo said with a chuckle. Since moving back to the states she tried not think much about her adolescent years. However, severus had been on her mind heavily and she just needed to know his whereabouts without raising any flags with anyone else.

"Yeah, it really does" he agreed, rubbing the back of his neck. They hadn't parted on the best of terms, but Severus was happy to see her and, she seemed happy, as if things had worked out for her in the states.
