Well this post will probably not come as a surprise considering how inactive I've been. But I'm taking a step back from internet life and going on a hiatus from tumblr and discord. I won't deactivate, I hope to be back at some point. But it feels like it's time for me to focus on other parts of my life.

Thank you to all my mutuals for all your kind words for me (and my fics and my cosplays). Truly could not have found a more supportive community on here. When I got on tumblr nearly 3 years ago, I was so scared and so lonely. But I've slowly built a new life for myself. There's still a ways to go for me, but I am a completely different person now. And I never would have gotten there without you all showing me it's okay to be myself.

Started the year off with a small trip to San Francisco

Saw some lovely sights. My favorite was probably going to Alcatraz Island and seeing the messages left by the indigenous activists who occupied the island in the 60s. Also visited the bison of Golden Gate Park. Rode on the cutest streetcar. Almost fell asleep in the Cal Academy planetarium. And most importantly, got to meet up with two of my mutuals and had a great time with them!

A beautiful start to the new year. A reminder I am capable of being a functional, independent person away from my family. Inspiration for my new goals for 2026, they are ambitious but I will achieve them!

Christmasmaxxing Weekend!!!

Very beautiful weekend of hitting up christmas parties and hanging out with my niece (and her partner). I feel so loved.

Started off the weekend with a bunco party/cookie exchange hosted by my aerial friend. I made some delicious rosemary shortbread and ended with a box full of everyone else's cookies. Then straight to the most iconic christmas party hosted by the quintessential older gay man from church. 7 Christmas trees, one for every room. So much food. Absolutely gorgeous house. A single picture from his second story landing, I wish I could just walk around and take pictures of his entire house. There's so many gay couples at my church, it really is so inspiring to see them just living life.

Made it to the city holiday lights display to visit the burritos sabaneros. Very cute 10 out 10. Finished the last minute Christmas shopping with my niece and ended with dim sum! First time and finally got to try xiao long bao, it was so yummy!

Also got to watch a ballet performance for the first time! I've been wanting to watch The Nutcracker and I actually remembered to buy tickets ahead of time this year.

5 star rating for this weekend. Would recommend having friends and loved ones to spend time with.

Been spending time away from tumblr, it's just not hitting like it used to. Trying to find more joy and meaning in the real world, which has sort of been working. The holiday sale for the local pole dancing studio was too tempting so I picked up a few classes. Static pole, evil and awful. Too much dance for my grace-less, anxious body. Flying pole on the other hand, aerial apparatus my beloved. I probably can't pick up a new gym membership right now but it was a nice challenge and something new to shock my system out of its misery.
