( orion. )
Her command cut him deeply, and Orion did not even try to hide the sadness he felt. He supposed in her position, seeing another of their kind was the last thing she wanted. But did she not remember that he was not like their other siblings? “Yael, please… I can not even remember how many years it has been since I last saw you. I really would like nothing more than to just speak for a little while. I do worry about how you have been since you have-” fallen was going to be his next word, but the angel could not bring himself to say it.
Yael holds back the guilt easily, she doesn’t want to give Orion anything. Not one emotion other than annoyance. Orion has always been... Softer than the rest. She didn’t look down upon him nor look up to him because of this. He was only one out of thousands of siblings to her. Yet, while he spoke, he seemed to care so deeply for her. “Not -- long -- enough.” It’s been hundred of years since she has last interacted with Orion. A blink of an eye to her. “I don’t regret falling.” She says, facing her brother with what would have been a neutral expression if it weren’t for the frown on her lips. “It was my choice. My choice alone and I have never felt more free, Orion. You're more than welcome to pass these words along to father." Yael expresses bitterly, feeling intruded upon.
