Just quick things about me:
Media I'm into: mainly video games in the RPG, action, and puzzle genre. - Pokemon, Persona, Zero Escape, AI: The Somnium Files, Kingdom Hearts, Yakuza/Like a Dragon, Hades, Ace Attorney, Professor Layton, (there's more, these are just at the top of my mind. I'll try to make a post on media I'm interested in sometime)
Big Pokemon fan since Gen 3 (2004-ish) in the insane side of the fandom (read: people who play Pokemon for the characters, story and lore). I tend to gravitate towards the Pokemon protagonists and Pokemon Trainers as part of a personal headcanon project.
My favorite games are Black/White 2, Legends Arceus, and Legends Z-A; my favorite Pokemon are Zekrom, Ursaluna, and Swablu. I also love Pokemon Mystery Dungeon very much!
I won runner-up in a Pokemon Masters fan art contest in 2020. It's the image featured above. The insanity paid off somehow!
I've been trying to watch some old and new anime too, I want to shake off my old hipster mindset. Ongoing anime I've been into lately: Jujutsu Kaisen, The Summer Hikaru Died, and Frieren, I also love Digimon a lot and want to catch up on Beatbeak and Ghost Game
More of a casual, I also love Vocaloid a lot and had my interest reignited during the pandemic. My personal advocacy is subbing Project Voltage songs without official translations so more people can appreciate the MVs!

oh my god. I thought I would forever not be able to post here again because I was unfortunate enough to be in the Philippines. LOL
I was pretty bummed about the accidental ban because aside from recently deciding to post here again once in a while, this site has been super sentimental for me. I would be heartbroken to lose access to my old posts and messages since, what, 2010? 2012?
If anything happens again, my pinned post will have my other socials and contacts just in case.
Anyway, I really really love the most recent Project Voltage MV, "Crossroads"! I think this is now my favorite MV, since I really love it musically and artistically so much. :')

I wanted to depict a piece of my childhood, and something that always felt so "Filipino" to me is "Buwan ng Wika" held every August in schools in the Philippines to celebrate local culture.
Here's a bunch of the Pokemon protagonists doing a "Sabayang Pagbigkas" performance. Can you guess the irl reference why they were chosen? 🤔
While it's still Gen 9, and my last activity here was around the start of it (3 years ago?), I've considered myself to be in hiatus for a very long while now, as the last time I was active here was during the Sun/Moon era.
It's crazy how it's almost 10 this year, huh?
Anyway, this is just a life update for anyone who's still here after all these years, especially if you haven't been following me in my other socials! This has been my earliest active socials, after all.
And for the new people and friends that convinced me to come back, this is something to keep you up to speed about me too!
This is gonna be long, so I'll keep it in a read more break to keep it clean.
When I was active here, it was during the peak of my teenage years: from the days of Gen 5 to the end of Gen 7, that's literally me from 13-20! Once the purge happened in around 2018, was it? I started getting even more active on Twitter, though I've always maintained it and Tumblr at the same time for years now.
Ever since I graduated art school in college, I just didn't have the energy to maintain a lot of socials, but with the advent of gen AI, posting art and finding an audience has been pretty difficult in the past three years. Just really sad how things have come to these days.
That said: what have I been up to all these years?
Up until my hiatus around 2019 onwards to today, I've been busy with art school and of course, the lockdown happened in 2020, which was unfortunately also my graduation year lol. Even though that honestly made me pretty down, I had a bit more of free time there, so I had a bit more of time to post here once in a while.
I worked on a bunch projects and art while I haven't been too concerned with getting work that time; I was more active over at my art blog at @victory-duo!
If you've been following me there for a while, you'd know I've been working on our Protagverse project with my sis for a while now, marking the 10th year this year! It's still ongoing, and I'm honestly very grateful for my past self for archiving as much of it as she could in my art blog. I need to post more there again!
(Also if you've been following it for a while now, I want to say thank you! Some people went out of their way to message me on Twitter and Instagram telling me they saw all my Protagverse stuff on my blog. I really appreciate you taking the time to read our work, it means so much!)
I've also been super busy with IRL stuff since then, with my freelance work and day job taking most of my time these days. I've been also involved with the local Pokemon community scene here in the Philippines since 2022, and I'm very grateful for it! I've only ever found friends and fandom stuff online and internationally, so discovering the local scene and even getting the opportunity to help it grow (especially through supporting fellow artists) has been so inspiring.
I've been thinking to get back here for a while now, but it's most thanks to new friends I met in the local scene that I've been convinced to try again.
So, I guess the late 20s version of me is back! I won't be too active here again since I am still generally busy, but it's nice to see that the fandom here is still alive. I am honestly not a fan of how quiet Bluesky is (I know a lot of people use it, but I've noticed people there prefer to just leave a like than reply, which I value more), so I hope to get back to tag reading here again haha!
I hope to think that even if I'm not exactly the same as years ago with my surprisingly hit posts (like I have NO IDEA of my impact here LOL??? I was just posting for fun and I barely had any notes before????), I'd like to think that my drive to share my work and connect with others through that is still the same, just a bit more experienced and mature than my teen self!

Anyway, I'll be doing a more proper re-intro sometime soon for my pinned post here. (Yes, I've been inactive enough that I didn't even catch the pinned post update before it. LOL)
i was asked earlier this year to do the cover art for @morphogenzine and had an awesome time fitting in tons of details from the whole series-- if you want some awesome fanwork and merchandise go check it out, preorders are open as i post this :) after the project is wrapped up i'll put up this piece as a print as well!
