author's note: based on this request!! they have me in atla jail. send help. (i don't wanna be saved unless it's zuko doing the saving.)
"you are impossible, zuko. genuinely, utterly impossible. did you think i was just going to sit there like a gilded doll while pakku insulted our lineage? i was helping you!"
your voice is a burst of fire, amplifying the heavy air of the imperial bedchamber. the room smells of burnt agarwood, expensive charcoal, and the metallic tang of unshed rage. you're pinned against the cold stone of the wall, the tapestries rustling behind your head as he drives into you with a rhythmic, punishing intensity. his skin is fever-hot, a living furnace pressing against your cooler flesh, and the contrast is a shock that travels straight to your marrow.
he doesn't answer with words at first, only a guttural sound in his throat that isn't quite a snarl and isn't quite a plea. his face is a mask of tension, that familiar scar—rough and textured like dried parchment—twisting as he grits his teeth. his eyes are amber fire, narrowed and tracking the way your lips curl in defiance. he’s beautiful even when he’s being a stubborn, spoiled brat, his long dark hair falling out of its topknot in messy, silken strands that brush against your collarbone.
you wrap your legs tighter around his waist, pulling him in even as you glare. your heels dig into the small of his back, feeling the ripple of lean muscle beneath his silk robes. "don't you dare shut me out now. look at me. you know i was right about the trade routes. you know it, and you're just too proud to admit your wife has a better head for diplomacy than your entire council of ancient, dusty men."
"it's about... protocol," he pants, the word breaking in the middle as you shift your hips, catching him just right. he mouths the words against the curve of your jaw, his breath smelling of cinnamon and smoke. "you can't just... ungh... you can't just speak over the firelord in front of a foreign delegation. it makes us look fractured. it makes me look weak."
you let out a harsh, mocking laugh, the sound echoing off the high ceilings where the shadows of flickering candles dance like spirits. reach up, you fist your hands into his hair, tugging downward with a sharp, uncompromising jerk. his head snaps back, exposing the vulnerable line of his throat, and a broken, high-pitched moan spills from his lips—a sound so fragile it almost makes you want to soften. but you don't. you squeeze him, your walls clenching around his thick, veiny length, feeling the way he pulses inside you, a frantic heartbeat in a place that shouldn't have one.
"weak? you think i make you look weak?" you tease, your voice dropping to a low murmur.. "you’re the one currently trembling because i pulled your hair, zuko. you’re the one who can’t even finish a sentence because you’re so desperate to stay inside me. is this what a powerful firelord looks like? panting like a stray in the dirt because his wife talked back to him?"
he nips at your neck, a sharp, stinging bite that will definitely leave a mark—a dark purple bruise for the maids to whisper about tomorrow. his teeth are blunt and hot, scraping over your skin until you shiver. "shut up," he hisses, his voice cracking. "just... shut your mouth."
"make me," you challenge, and the air between you literally ignites.
zuko inhales sharply, and you see the orange glow behind his teeth, the heat radiating off him in a sudden, violent wave that makes the sweat on your skin evaporate instantly. he doesn't let go of you; instead, he shifts his grip, his large hands hooking under your thighs to hold you steady as he lunges away from the wall,, carrying your weight with a desperate, clumsy grace. he stumbles into a low table, sending a ceramic basin of water crashing to the floor—the scent of wet stone and copper rising up to join the scent of smokel—before he slams you down onto the sprawling silk mattress of his bed.
the impact jars you, but he’s already hovering over you, his knees pinning your arms down, his chest heaving. this position allows him to sink deeper, bottoming out against your cervix with a blunt force that draws a loud, unbidden moan from your throat. you try to keep scolding him, try to find the words to tell him he’s a fool, but the way he’s filling you makes your brain feel like it’s melting into honey.
"you... you're still... a stubborn... idiot," you choke out, even as your back arches off the sheets.
he leans down, his hand sliding from your shoulder to your neck, his thumb pressing against your windpipe just enough to make you gasp. his other hand finds your tit, squeezing the soft tissue with a proprietary heat that feels like it’s branding you. he kisses you then—not a sweet kiss, but a frantic, unforgiving hunger, tasting of fury. his cock is thick, the head of it rubbing against your sensitive walls with every frantic, shallow thrust, the texture smooth but the pressure immense.
outside the heavy oak doors, the muffled sound of the palace at night continues—the distant clank of a guard’s spear, the soft chirping of turtleducks in the gardens—but inside the circle of his arms, the world is reduced to the friction of your intoxicating skin.
"my lord?" a voice calls out from the hallway, shrill and intrusive. it’s high sage ukano, his tone brimming with that self-importance zuko usually hates.
"my lord, i apologize for the late hour, but we have received an urgent scroll from the earth kingdom regarding the borders. we must discuss the response before the morning bells."
zuko freezes, his body still buried deep inside yours, his heart hammering against your ribs like a trapped bird. he breaks the kiss, looking down at you with wide, dark eyes. you start to open your mouth, a smirk forming—ready to call out, ready to ruin his dignity—but his hand is there in an instant, slapping over your lips. his palm is dry and smells of old scrolls and fire, muffling your indignant yelp.
he doesn't pull out. instead, he stays perfectly still, his cock twitching inside you, the sensation so intense it makes your toes curl into the silk. he looks toward the door, his expression shifting from frantic lover to arrogant monarch in a heartbeat, though the flush on his cheeks betrays him.
"not now, ukano," zuko calls out, his voice surprisingly steady, though there’s a smug, sharp edge to it that makes your blood simmer. he looks back down at you, a slow, predatory grin spreading across his face as he begins to move again, slow and agonizingly deep, watching your eyes blow out as you struggle against his hand.
"the firelord is currently... occupied with matters of state. leave the scroll with the guard. i will deal with you in the morning."
he doesn't look away from you as the advisor’s footsteps fade. he just keeps moving, his eyes burning with a gold that’s finally, finally steady.
"don't you have something else to say?" he whispers, his breath hot against your ear. "i'm listening."
whoever that 1st zuko anon was... look what you started.

The day after I witnessed Ring carry out a mass killing under Darius’ orders—.
Kate: A day off…?
Darius: Mm. It’s a reward for you and Ring, for your hard work in yesterday’s mission.
I had gone to deliver my report to Darius, when he suddenly dropped those words on me.
Darius: If I don’t let you rest once in a while, Crown might start sending complaint letters my way.
Kate: I… I see.
Darius: You sound reluctant. Are you not happy about having the day off, Miss Fairytale Keeper? Or would you prefer to work even harder for us?
Kate: N-No, of course not… I was just surprised because I didn't think I’d be given any rest, so it caught me off guard.
(After all, I was threatened and dragged here against my will. I thought they’d work me to the bone…)
Darius: What do you take me for? I don't deny people taking a day off.
Darius: That said, since I can’t allow you to roam freely… you should go out with Ring for a day, and stretch your wings a little.
(Go out with Ring…? Maybe I should take this chance to invite him on an outing.)
Darius’ suggestion was so enticing, it made my heart flutter.
A handful of places immediately started coming to mind, places I wanted to show him.
Just then,—
Darius: Ahh, but… aren't you afraid of Ring now, Miss Fairytale Keeper?
Kate: Eh…?
His words came so abruptly, I found myself staring cluelessly at Darius’ face for a second.
Darius: You saw Ring in a fight last night, right? … You saw him drenched in blood, eyes fixed solely on his enemies.
Darius: If witnessing that scene scared you, I could always have Nica be your guard instead. … What do you think?
There was an unmistakable look of curiosity in his eyes as he stared at me with amusement, waiting to hear what I would choose.
(First he expresses his support for me becoming friends with Ring, and now this…)
(I don't know what games Darius is playing, or what his intentions are.)
(But… I understand my own feelings very well.)
Kate: That won’t be necessary. I’ll invite Ring to go outside with me. While it’s true that last night’s events shocked me… I don't think I’m afraid of him.
Even as I answered that, the memories of last night came back to mind.
[ Flashback ]
Kate: Take today’s mission for example. Did you… really, genuinely want to kill?
Ring: … I… uhh…
[ Flashback End ]
(... I’m certain I saw that Ring felt hurt.)
(He’s no mere cold puppet. Darius’ orders may pull his strings and turn his hands into weapons, but underneath it all, he’s kind. … That’s why I’m not scared of him.)
Darius: My… our Fairytale Keeper is braver than I thought.
His gaze drifted upward, then stopped just above the crown of my head.
Instinctively, I followed his gaze and turned around to see—
Kate: Ring…! How long have you been there!?
Ring: Sorry. I didn’t mean to eavesdrop. I just couldn't find the right time to come in…
Ring looked sheepish as he responded, a small smile tugging at his lips.
Ring: … But I’m glad I heard your conversation. It makes me happy to hear you say you’re not afraid of me.
Darius: Fufu, glad things are still good between you two. Miss Fairytale Keeper, I hope you’ll keep being good friends with Ring.
With his usual pleasant smile plastered on his face, Darius sent us off.
…
After leaving the drawing room, Ring and I wandered aimlessly through the hallways.
Ring: Um… there’s no mission, so how do you want to spend the time?
Kate: What do you usually do on your days off?
Ring: I run to keep my fitness up… then I tend to the plants in my room as usual… that’s about it.
Ring: But today, it's your choice of what to do. … My way of spending a day off is boring.
Kate: That’s not true. I think the way you spend your time sounds wonderful…
(... Why is Ring always putting himself down?)
If there was a reason for it, I wanted to know.
And if possible… I wanted to help lighten some of the burden he carried.
(Like how Ring worries about me, I don’t want him to wear that look of sadness on his face anymore.)
Kate: The weather’s nice today, so if you don’t mind, shall we go on an outing together?
Ring: That sounds fun, but are you sure…?
Ring asked, seemingly seeking assurance, and so I nodded with a bright smile.
Kate: Of course.
And just like that, his eyes lit up and sparkled like they contained rays of sunshine.
Ring: This will be my first time going out with a friend. I’M SO HAPPY…!
Ring seized both my hands and shook them wildly — up and down, side to side — with uncontainable glee.
It reminded me of a puppy wagging its tail, excited to be taken on a walk.
Kate: Then let's go! We can decide on our destination along the way.
Ring: YEAH!
…
Darius: Welcome back, Nica. You’re fast.
Nica: Nah. Huh…? Where’s Ring and the Spatz?
Darius: Because I’m kind, I gave them the day off. They’re probably out on a date as we speak.
Nica: Oh? So the “get Ring and the Spatz closer” plan is still in motion?
Darius: Mm. Miss Fairytale Keeper didn't seem to be affected by the sight of Ring killing during a mission.
Darius: That’s why I thought I’d let them get closer and closer… then I’ll destroy everything in one blow.
He lifted his hands, mimicking the motion of stacking wooden blocks atop one another; then with a sweeping motion, knocked the “tower”, letting out an amused laugh.
Darius: … Ring’s case is only the opening act of our grand plan. The main reason that brought us to England is progressing without a hitch, so be rest assured about that.
…
Meanwhile, Ring and I had left the palace’s walls, and I brought him to…
Kate: This is Leadenhall Market. It’s one of the oldest markets in London.
The busy market was full of goods from all across the country — everyday necessities and rare luxuries alike, it was a mix of the wants of people from all walks of life, and there was beauty amidst the bustling.
(I wonder if there’s anything here that would interest Ring.)
— Things that he would like, that make him unconsciously stop in his tracks, ones that his eyes would follow without him voicing out.
I wanted to learn even the smallest details about Ring.
It felt so close, yet so far away — a heart I couldn't quite get a hold of… it was as though I was softly tracing the faint outline of it with my fingertips.
Ring: … It’s nice that you can see the sky here.
Ring tilted his head back, squinting at the sunlight streaming in as he looked up at the high ceiling made of iron arches and glass panels.
Ring: I’ve been here many times before, to buy supplies or chase down targets… but I’ve never noticed it.
Kate: Fufu, I’m glad I chose this place then.
Kate: Let’s just stroll around today, and stop by whatever catches our attention.
Ring matched his footsteps to mine, letting his eyes wander around the crowd and various goods up for sale.
Kate: Oh! Look at those fruits, Ring! They look delicious!
Ring: You’re right, I can smell the sweet yet tart scent of apples from here.
Ring: There are famous apple orchards in Germany. We eat them in foods like cakes and salads.
Kate: Wow, apple cake sounds good. I’d love to try it some day.
Ring: If you ever come to Germany, I’ll take you to my favourite shop for apple cakes.
Kate: Fufu, I’ll hold you to that.
We were walking through the bustling streets, until Ring suddenly stopped and appeared interested in something.
Rows of ceramic pots containing vibrant blooms of flowers lined the front of a shop.
Kate: Oh, this flower looks lovely…
I crouched to lift one of the small pots.
Red, yellow, pink… they were all the same flower, but of different colour variations, and were comforting to look at.
(Ever since Ring started placing flowers in my room, I’ve become more interested in them. Maybe I'll come back later to buy a pot.)
I put the pot back onto the shelf and was about to move on, but then Ring spoke.
Ring: The one you were looking at is a Geranium, it’s a good beginner plant.
Ring: Geranium is resistant to diseases and pests, so it’s easy to care for.
Kate: Wow…! You’re very knowledgeable, Ring.
Kate: Come to think of it, you also told me its name and meaning when you gave me a freesia.
Kate: This morning you mentioned that you spend your free time tending to plants too. Do you have an interest in botany?
Ring: Yeah, I love plants. When I was a kid, I used to read botany books over and over again.
The mention of childhood made my chest tighten.
(Was that during his time at Haus? Did that environment allow them to read books…?)
My doubt must've shown on my face, because Ring continued,
Ring: … A travelling merchant was once captured and dragged into Haus, and he had some books hidden on him.
Ring: Nica managed to get him to hand them over, so we’d secretly read them while hiding from the researchers.
Kate: I see, so that's what happened… I’m sorry, for reminding you of your past.
Ring: No, I was the one who brought it up first. Don’t worry about it.
Ring: Besides, I think of it as a good memory now.
Ring: When I read those books on botany, I’d dream of someday seeing real plants instead of just in pictures…
Ring: I used to imagine myself befriending someone by talking about plants, and now that dream has come true.
Ring: … All of it is thanks to Darius destroying Haus.
(I’ve wished for Ring to place more importance on his feelings, but…)
(It’s also because of Darius that Ring can live like this at all.)
Darius destroyed Haus, saving Ring from it.
Ring chose, of his own will, to follow Darius.
(If that is what Ring truly wants for himself, then who am I to stop him…?)
The thought weighed on me, and suddenly—
Kate: Huh…? Ring?
(He was right next to me a moment ago, and now he’s gone!)
(W-Where did he—?)
Panic flared in my chest, and I was frantically scanning nearby shops for any sight of Ring when someone tapped me on the shoulder.
Ring: Sorry. I went to buy something.
Kate: I thought I lost you… did something interest you?
Ring: Here… it’s a present for you.
Kate: Eh?
Inside the paper bag he handed me was a pot containing red geranium, the very same one I was looking at earlier on.
Ring: Your expression dulled all of a sudden, and I didn't know how to cheer you up.
Ring: So I thought maybe a present would make you happy.
(He went out of his way to buy this just for me…)
Ring: … Geraniums mean “trust” in flower language too.
Ring: If there’s anything troubling you, I want you to lean on me. Even though I may not be of much help.
Kate: Ring…
My heart filled with warmth.
It felt like the potted plant Ring held out to me contained his warmth and feelings — and it made me happy beyond words.
Kate: … T-Thank you. I’m really happy you got this for me…! I promise to take very good care of it.
(... I want to cherish this feeling of receiving Ring’s kindness.)
Our enjoyable time together passed by in a flash, and the sun was soon starting to set in the horizon.
The light of the setting sun spilled into the narrow market streets, giving everything a gentle golden hue.
Ring: It’s getting late, we should head back to the palace soon.
Kate: You’re right. Once we're back, will you teach me how to care for geraniums?
Ring: Yeah, sure. I can give you a watering can too if you’d like.
Kate: Thank you so much…!
…
(... I had a really good time today.)
As we were strolling around the market, Ring’s eyes sparkled with curiosity as he asked about everything he saw — what’s that? what’s this? — and we had London’s specialty foods until we were both stuffed.
(There’s so much more I want to show him.)
The way his face lights up with joy, the way happiness makes him look so alive… I want to see that from up close again.
(... Because that’s what friends do, right? You always want a friend to smile and be happy.)
Kate: Let’s go out together again sometime, Ring. I want to take you to see my favourite play next!
Ring: Sure. I want to know more about the things you like.
Ring: … I’m so glad we’re friends.
I softened my gaze as Ring spoke those words slowly and carefully, as though they were so precious they might break… and then I thought back to the moment we became friends.
[ Flashback ]
Ring: Dari has never been wrong.
Ring: So… this friendship will definitely end someday.
[ Flashback End ]
(I wonder if Ring still feels that way.)
Kate: … Ring. Do you still think our friendship will end someday?
Ring: …
His answer felt like an answer.
(... He still thinks so.)
Kate: It’s fine that you want to continue trusting Darius, and I’m not going to tell you to do otherwise. But…
Kate: I’m definitely going to stay friends with you.
Kate: Because I want to always be by your side as your friend.
(I won't force him to change his thinking.)
(But I’ll tell him time and time again, what I feel about our friendship.)
(Because friendship isn't fragile.)
Holding that thought close to my heart, I gave him a smile.
For a short moment between us… there was only silence, until Ring finally spoke in a small voice.
Ring: … I feel the same way.
Ring: I want us to be friends forever. I can’t even imagine life without you as my friend.
Ring: The mere thought of it… is tearing at my chest.
He clenched his fist over his chest where his heart was, gripping the fabric of his clothes.
Ring: I’m slowly getting lost…
Ring: I know Dari’s words are absolute, but this feeling wavers whenever I’m with you.
Ring: … Even if it’s going against Dari, I can’t help but think I want to stay your friend.
In his voice, in his facial expression… I could see the crack in the belief he’d always held onto.
Kate: As long as we both want this friendship to last, it will. That’s what matters most.
Kate: So I hope you'll keep holding onto that feeling.
Ring: … Thanks, Kate.
Ring: But I… I still don't have the confidence that I can trust my own judgement.
Ring: Because Dari has always been right, and I’m always wrong…
Weighed down by his doubts, Ring’s facial expression darkened.
Wanting to give him strength, I reached my hand out and firmly placed it over his clenched fist.
Kate: I’ve been there. There were many occasions when I didn't think I could trust my judgement, when I silenced what my heart wanted and pushed them away.
Kate: It must be scary to suddenly try and change who you’ve always been.
Kate: But when that happens, you need someone trustworthy who you can confide in, be honest with… and give things a lot of thought.
Kate: I’m sure that… our thoughts and voices exist so we can bridge our differences and understand each other.
Ring: Understand each other… huh.
Ring: Maybe it's because you believe in that, your work as a Fairytale Keeper is so meaningful and important.
Kate: Eh…?
Ring: I read your report about the mission where we captured that kidnapper.
Ring: Your report wasn't plain facts written on a page. You wrote about people's thoughts, feelings, and reasons for their actions.
Ring: I could tell that you truly put your heart into it.
Ring: Your work isn't limited to solely whether someone is Cursed or not… it goes beyond time and place.
Ring: You convey the essence of who the person truly is.
Ring: I think the role of a Fairytale Keeper exists to help us “understand each other”.
Those words were like a strong gust of wind that blew open the blackout curtains over my heart, letting light pour in.
Kate: Thank you… Ring.
(Why do I record the sins of the Cursed? What is the purpose of a Fairytale Keeper?)
(... I wrestle with this question every time I work.)
(But, now, I think I finally know the answer.)
Hard facts alone can never capture the thoughts and emotions that lead to sin, nor the footsteps of the Cursed that become hidden in the shadows of glory.
They are to be left behind, preserved so that “someone” in the future will hear their story.
Perhaps, that’s the true purpose of a Fairytale Keeper.
(Like fairytales that are based down from generation to generation, I want to leave behind stories of the Cursed too.)
(As proof that they existed, and that they had feelings…)
Ring: If I ever lose my way, can I come to you?
Kate: Of course you can…! Because you said it yourself — geraniums carry the meaning of “trust”, and that you want me to lean on you whenever I need to.
Kate: It’s the same for me. I want you to lean on me too, … because we're friends.
Ring: Thanks, Kate.
(I wanted to give him courage, but it ended with him encouraging me instead.)

Victor - Dark If Twisted Fairytale Translation Part 1
*Fan translation for funsies! IP owned by Cybird, translations are my own and may be inaccurate. See About page for more info.*
[Part 1 | Part 2 | Bitter | Letter | Premium | Epilogue]
Warning: Mentions of death, Sad and angsty 🥺
Ever since I was born, there have been times when I've felt like this world isn't where I belong.
I was surrounded by loved ones and lived a fairly happy life, but there were nights when I felt like something was missing and was tormented by loneliness.
At times like those, my favorite fairytale saved my heart countless times. But for some reason, I can't remember what it was about. All I remember is one sentence.
"Death is always by our side, dancing with us on the stage of life."
Victor
"Now, come and enjoy your trip to this twisted fairytale world."
The experience in the twisted fairy tale world has begun, or so it should have.
(A book?)
In a pure white space, a single tattered book lay fallen on the floor.
The moment I picked it up, I was pulled back to my original world.
Neema
"Huh?"
Before me stood Victor, looking as though he'd seen something unimaginable.
Victor
"...You came back?"
I nodded. His gaze shifted to the book in my hands.
Victor
"That is..."
Neema
"This book was lying in a completely white space... When I picked it up, I ended up back here."
A faded book... if you could even call it that.
Its title was worn beyond recognition, and it was torn and burned in many places, barely retaining the shape of a book.
The text was faded in spots, making it impossible to guess what story it held. But I felt a sense of comfort from this book.
(It felt like something lost had come back to me.)
Victor looked at me for a while, stunned, as I held the book close to my heart.
Then suddenly, a complicated expression crossed his face.
Victor
“Oh, I see. You're...
Neema
"Huh?"
Victor
"...No, nothing."
He gazed at the book with a hint of nostalgia before turning his eyes back to me.
Victor
"This book contains the oldest fairytale in this twisted fairytale world."
Neema
"That's why it's so tattered."
Victor
"And it's also a special book."
Victor
"If you enter this world, you will..."
Victor stopped mid-sentence, looking conflicted, but then…
Victor
"No. There's no reason for me to stop the 'fate' you've reached."
He shook his head and smiled sadly.
Victor
"Go now, Neema. I wish you happiness."
With those meaningful words, sleepiness overwhelmed me, and darkness engulfed my vision.
Neema
"Vic…tor..."
Just before I closed my eyes, I unconsciously called his name.
Neema
"Hmmm..."
The next time I woke up, I was in pitch black darkness.
(Where am I?)
I stood up and looked around, but all I could see was darkness, and I had no idea where to go.
(I decided to follow the wall for now.)
The walls were rugged, like rock, and the occasional sound of dripping water made me feel consumed with fear.
Neema
"Is anyone there?"
My voice echoed. But there was no reply.
(Am I in a cave?)
As I walked forward fearfully, I saw a light before my eyes.
(Outside!)
In that moment, I reached out for the light.
Neema
"Huh?"
I was standing on the edge of a cliff.
???
"Come here."
A voice called from below the cliff. Peering down, the ground collapsed beneath me.
(I'm falling...!!)
Just as I accepted my death, I was pulled back.
An arm grabbed mine tightly.
Neema
"Eh...?"
???
"Are you okay?"
The moment I lifted my face, a line of lustrous black hair traced the night sky. Jewel-like eyes, a handsome face, a mole on his lip.
The person who saved me was Victor—who had been with me just moments ago.
Neema
"You were with me just now..."
But he tilted his head, looking puzzled.
Victor
"I think this is the first time we’ve met...?"
Neema
"Huh?"
Our eyes met and blinked at each other for a few moments. He noticed the wind blowing up from below the cliff and, with a startled look, pulled my arm.
Victor
"This place is dangerous, let’s get away for now."
Holding hands, we entered the forest. Victor, walking ahead of me, began his self-introduction in a bright voice.
Victor
"I'm Victor. I'm the Grim Reaper."
Neema
"Grim Reaper?"
Victor
"My job is to send the souls of humans nearing death to the afterlife."
Victor
"They say when I appear before someone, it's a sign I've come to collect them... Most people won't even come near me."
(I see...)
But the hand I held was warm, and there was no trace of the coldness of death I'd imagined.
Neema
"It's so warm..."
Victor stopped in his tracks and turned around at the statement.
Victor
"You're the only one who would say something like that."
Then he smiled sadly.
Victor
"'Death is always by our side.' It follows us around like a shadow."
Victor
"Sometimes it calls out, telling us to come closer."
Victor
"He called out to you earlier, didn't he?"
Neema
"Ah..."
(That voice I heard from below the cliff... it was Death calling.)
(If Victor hadn't saved me, I would have...)
My whole body grew cold, my heart beating violently.
Noticing something was wrong with me, Victor squeezed my clasped hand tightly and smiled gently.
Victor
"I appear before those whose time is near."
But the words that left his lips froze my body solid.
Victor
"Neema, you will lose your life in one week."
—
Notes:
I've been stuck in a personal rut for a while now, and apparently only Victor can break it.
I haven't been able to get his bonus stories lately, so l used all the resources I had saved up for this event. I can't believe on the first introduction of this system to Ikevil, they made the clearance so damn high. For the new Ikepri event, it is only 10,000 per story so it's only 40,000 to complete the whole event. For this one it's 50,000 just to complete one character's story and they have almost all of them (though some are reruns). Also 3,000 diamonds for an epilogue set? Is Cybird okay? Sure they should be able to make money from their IP, but this just feels super greedy.
This is a fan translation so it's not 100% accurate. Expect grammatical inaccuracies. All media used here belongs to Cybird. Reblogs are appreciated and hope you enjoy!
The journey to trace the fragments of your memories begins--
The sound of a music box resonates. A scene from your distant past, a memory that has almost been forgotten, lingers faintly.
The sparkling music box is reflected in your tear-distorted vision.
The beautiful melody reaches your ears, and with the tears receeding, you lift your face.
You don't remember who played the music box for you and wiped your tears away.

After losing your beloved cat, you go to the church to pray so that your cat can rest in heaven.
As you were crying and praying, a man called out to you.
???: Why are you crying?
Option 1: Your tears won't stop and you can't look up.
Kate: It's nothing.
He gently touched your shoulder and then seemed to walk away.
???: I'll be watching over you until the day I can see your smile again.
--the end--
Option 2: Talk about the situation
Kate: My cat died.
With his jewel-like eyes, night-colored hair, and beautiful clothes, he looked like a prince from some place.
He sat next to you and listened to you, nodding occasionally, but the more you talked, the sadder you became and the tears welled up. Alone in the church, it was the sound of a music box that stopped your tears.
???: See, you play it like this.
In your faded memories, that person's eyes shone like jewels.
You are now a postman working at the post-office. One day, you receive a notice stating that a church is looking for someone to help with their volunteer work.
You feel a sense of nostalgia once you see the name of the church.
--
Option 1: Join the volunteer work.
Kate: It's been a while since I've been there.
You played with the kids, helped out at the bazaar, and gradually became friends with an orphan boy you looked after for a day. The distance between you both closed, and you sat next to each other, smiling.
It was now time to go home.
Option 1: Hurry Home
Kate: If I don't hurry, all the eggs will be sold out!
???: I'm relieved to see you're alive and happy. I'll always be watching over you.
--the end--
Option 2: Return home with a detour
Kate: I think I'll stop by the bakery I was interested in while on the way back home.
???: May your everyday life be filled with ordinary happiness.
--the end--
Option 3: Go home after praying
Kate: I hope these children have a happy tomorrow.
You work at the post office as a postman everyday. One day, the postmaster asks you to do a job. It seems there was a requirement for a staff in the night delivery.
--
Option 2: Refuse the job
Kate: I am sorry. I don't want to work overtime.
???: You are wonderful for being able to say 'no'. Enjoy your limited time to the fullest.
--the end--
--
Option 1: Accept the job
You are headed to--
Option 2: Kingsley Books bookstore
Kate: (There is no one here. Guess I'll just have to come back tomorrow.)
There are books scattered carelessly at your feet.
--
Option 2A: You were about to pick up the book...
Kate: (What is this book?)
Just then, someone appeared next to you, picked up the book and left.
???: You shouldn't pick up this book just yet.
???: Please live freely.
--the end--
--
Option 2B: Pick up the book
Kate: (There's a book here--)
As if drawn by something, you opened the untitled book. A gust of wind swirled up, enveloping you in a dazzling light--
???: Welcome to the distorted world of fairy tales! We have a guest, please come in---yay!
And so, you set out on a journey to find "the missing thing" in this distorted fairy world.
???: Hey Kate, the first one you got is my story.
--
Option 1: A splendid mansion
Kate: (Huh? This mansion doesn't have a mailbox.)
You gently touched the gate, and with a faint creaking sound, it slid open inwards.
And so, you are just a little bit away from a love that fate has led you to, a love you can never return from.
