MY WEMON MUFFIN

I commissioned this from Yaodanshi!!! Right now they’re offering comms for headshots, full bodies, and backgrounds :p

I felt like the artist’s style would work really well with Lemonleaf’s doe-like feature and soft colors, and it absolutely did!!! They even included Lemon’s wittle freckles 😭😭😭

They look SO good and I’m so happy with how this came out, with other artists I might be worried that Lemon’s colors would leave them looking kinda flat or muddled, but Yaodanshi added so much definition in the body and details in the fur and just totally rocked it!!!

Also wanted to add in the OG ref sheet done by my lovely pal Rosa over on our discord server. Lemonleaf was a character who was very loved but also very erm… open (boring) during an activity slump. I’m so glad I snagged them during an adoption because they have become one of my all time favorites. Their progression and plot is painstakingly slow, nothing has really outwardly shifted in their life, but they have concealed this chaotic inner world that is full of pain, bitterness, resentment, guilt, and a sense of purposelessness. They are never hard to write, their melancholy view of the world around them comes very easily, but rereading posts that I’ve dumped tons and tons of my quieter emotions into is always a little tear jerk-y for me.
