Hiatus Announcement

So I really haven't been on Pothos all that much to begin with, but I really like him as a muse a lot and I miss my winged baby. It seems he's eloped with Himeros off to some distant world or something and neither of our muses contact us that much anyways.. I'm bringing back Tobias (This could be a big thing for those who knew him since he's lost his memory of the year I had him) he can be found at luxxaeturna. 

I don't know when Pothos is coming back but when he does I'll let you know. 

You all are awesome, this pantheon and family is awesome and beautiful.

Iacchos huffed a little when Pothos landed on him. Taking a deep breath the god opened his eyes and lifted his head to look at the erote. “Hello, Pothos”, he said faintly, not really having much energy in himself. “What brings you by?” The wine god lolled his head back against the sofa.

Pothos smiled softly, noting Iacchos' low energy levels. He leaned his head down and rested it on the wine god's chest, "Nothing, really. Just wanted to visit you." he shrugged a bit. He laid there in silence for about.. five seconds, "Lazy day?" he asked, closing his eyes.

Pothos padded over behind the couch before jumping up and landing on top of Iacchos, laying down and poking his nose. "Hey, you." he mumbled, brown eyes shining playfully.

Iacchos pulled back and smiled at Pothos. “Thank-you, dear Pothos”, he said, softly. “I’m glad this gift did not disappoint.” Iacchos lightly placed his hand on Pothos’ cheek. “How have you been,?”

Pothos leaned gently into Iacchos' hand and smiled, "I've been well and happy." he spoke softly, "What about you, dearest Iacchos?" he asked, placing his hand overtop his friend's gently.

Pothos felt his cheeks flush as his lips touched Iacchos'. His heart fluttered and he returned the tender kiss gently. After a moment he pulled back, biting his lip and smiling. "I wouldn't rather have any other gift." he whispered, "Our secret this shall stay, my dearest friend."

“Merry Christmas to you, too, baby boy.” He smiled back, holding Pothos’ waist and returned the nudging with a kiss.

Pothos tenderly kissed Himeros in return, pulling back for a moment and laughing, "I still don't understand what that means, though." he mused, "I like the idea of Mistletoe though. Humans are such funny creatures."

Pothos smiled as Himeros held him close, an arm looping around his brother's shoulders. "Merry Christmas." he mumbled, nudging their noses together lovingly.

Young Shenanigans || iacchos

Iacchos was just putting on the finishing touches of his out fit. He had a special chiton made for the event, he was constantly single and always looking to mingle. The young wine god has special silk brought from Egypt to fashion him the most stunning chiton anyone would have seen. Of course as a god it was expected. And he had many others he wished to impress. 

Iacchos stood in front of a full length mirror he had specially crafted for himself as well. He clipped the chiton over each shoulder with diamond pins that blended into the shiny white silk. Next he placed the belt of gold around his waist to keep the chiton decent and smirked at the reflection in the mirror. “Perfect”, he said to himself as he admired the outfit. 

His brother Hermes had gifted him a pair of sandals fashioned in the same manner as his Talaria, but upon Iacchos’ request the flying ability was removed from them. Though the god greatly desired see the world from up above, he could do that any time he pleased with Hermes. What was the point of having his own pair when he could share the moment with his brother? That was how he saw it and elected to keep his wander lust a way for them to bond. 

Iacchos knew that today was they day his dear Pothos would be presented to the rest of the pantheon in an official manner. With this in mind he has decided he would stay at his side to make sure everything went accordingly. Now that he was fully dressed and presentable to the pantheon, the young wine god went off the help with setting up the festival. He and Bromios had been given this job as theatre was in their domain and they knew how to coordinate such events.

After they’d finished with the set up, Iacchos bid his brother adieu till later in the evening and went off to wait for Pothos. He was excited to see how his dear friend would be dressed today. He knew that if Aphrodite had any say in it every “t” would be crossed and every “i” dotted.

Pothos didn't always do as his mother said, a little trait he'd picked up from his older brothers. On his way to see Iacchos he stopped in one of the flower fields and plucked a few of the flora to fashion into a crown. He sat in the field for a while, working hard on his little gift. His robes were made of silk from far east, and Pothos liked how they glided along his skin. The robe's color was mainly red, but golds, violets and pinks were woven in along the collar, sleeves and hem just under his knee. They were modified some and Pothos' wings hung freely from his shoulders. 

The godling was adorned with many pieces of jewelry, a lot of it was hand-me-down, but that's what made it special to Pothos. His ankles had woven bronze wrapped around them, one of Anteros' favorites when he was younger. The rings on the god's fingers belonged to Eros at one point, and the circlet to Himeros. The armlet upon his bicep was simple wound bronze, but he had been promised a new one as a gift if he behaved. 

After he was satisfied with the flower crown, he got up and clutched the flowers close as he spotted Iacchos.

"Iacchos!" the godling called out, running towards his friend and uncle. He was happy to see the Wine God, and he liked the way he was dressed. It was pretty, caught his eye and made the god glow more than usual.

Young Shenanigans || iacchos

Pothos was looking forwards to the Solstice festivities. It was a chance to get to meet the rest of the relatives he never really got to meet. And, as an added bonus, Iacchos would be back! The young love god practically bounced in his seat as his mother fussed over his hair and clothing. 

"Stop squirming." She sighed, firmly yet gently tugging his head back to get at his bangs. The Erote giggled and yelped as she tugged hard on the brush. "You've got to look nice for the meeting--Not that you already don't, being my son." she murmured. She finally decided that his hair was good enough and got him to stand up. "Spin." she requested, Pothos did as he was told and watched as the robe flowed a little, and he liked the way the color flashed and changed. 

"Perfect." she smiled, managing to get a circlet over his head. Pothos squirmed again and protested, "Why don't the others have to dress up?" he complained, he liked the attention but she'd already tugged and prodded him and he'd almost had enough. 

"Because this is your first meeting." she explained, slipping his armlet on. "I want you to look nice and perfect." she smiled. "There. My little dove is perfect." she patted his head. "Now go and find your uncle." she shooed him out of the house, watching the love god skip down the stairs, his wings fluttering gently behind him. 

"Fix your robe!" she called after him, frowning as the godling ignored her. She sighed and laughed a bit before going to get herself ready.

Himeros smiled, relaxed slightly and kissed Pothos’ forehead. “Thank you, baby boy.” The elder Erote let out a soft purr, holding the smaller one close. “I love you.” He kissed him again before remembering something, “Uhm… so, what happened later that day?”

Pothos smiled as Himeros purred, his own, more quiet one joining his. Anteros used to make fun of him because it sounded slightly like a dove's, but since their mother referred to them as her doves, he didn't mind. He kissed the elder Erote in return, leaning his forehead against Himeros' and laughing. "I scavenged what was left of my snack, cleaned up what I spilled because of Mars, and waited for you to come home. I think I fell asleep after some time, though." he mused playfully.

He knew that Pothos was upset, yet was too kindhearted and soft to act mad on him. It made Himeros feel all the more guilty and want to make up to his love. “I’m sorry.” He said again, “I- the situation was really particular.” he tried to explain, “I know I should have asked you first before doing anything, but you weren’t around an’…” He bit his tongue, realizing that it sounded kind of like he was blaming Pothos for being away, which wasn’t really his intention. “…The kid had some hard time, and I wanna help him.”

Pothos nodded slowly, waiting for Himeros to finish before talking. "Hey, I'm really not mad." he reassured him, grasping his hand. "I understand, Himeros. I'm sorry I wasn't around, but I'm here now." he gently kissed Himeros' nose, "I'd never say no, to you or the little one. Sadly he bolted before I could say anything.."

Himeros smiled softly, holding Pothos in his arms for a few more seconds, looking into his face with all the concentration in the world, study every little details of his brother’s face; not just the vessel, not the flesh, but the unique way of which the corner of his eyes dropped when he smiled, the little twitch of the lips, and the sparks in the young Erote’s eyes that Himeros cherished more than any diamonds in the world.

“…Okay you’re too heavy!” He suddenly exclaimed, “I think I’mma fall!” He fell over just as he said so, bringing Pothos down with him onto the ground. They fell down hard, but just when Pothos’ back was about to hit the ground, it was as if gravity had suddenly disappeared and they landed softly on the floor like two light feathers. Himeros grinned.

Pothos knew Himeros was taking in the sight of him, as he often did to Himeros. The way Himeros' eyes never lost their playfulness, when he would always seem a little happier when Pothos was around, the simple.. otterness of his brother. He loved him, he always did and he always would. 

He was just about to lean in to kiss Himeros when he exclaimed, then fell over. Pothos was unprepared and let out a bit of a surprised shriek (which he would later deny ever happened). His back touched the ground as they became feather-light, and he lightly smacked his lover, giggling, "Don't do that!" he only half demanded, "And I'm not heavy!" he pouted.
