Nightmare isn't too keen on storms so when a particularly bad one hits well...the usually composed Shiny Umbreon hybrid jumps a bit as thunder booms in the distance, quickly ushering the Chu inside as well before he quickly closes the place up, windows and all "I-I u-uhmmm...Ahhh...!"

The poor guy shivers all over, piling aa bunch of blankets from around the home and pulling them around himself, particularly over his ears as the rain starts to get quite powerful sounding akin to drums banging atop the roof and the wind howls as it whisks by... This is going to be a long night...

“You....want to know a secret?” “For being the electrical type.....I really really don’t like thunderstorms” “Can’t really explain why....just...they fill me with fear”

Without wasting much more words on the entire situation, the small Pikachu just climbed in between the blankets and joined his Umbreon buddy in hiding from the thunderstorm that was raging outside.

“...I won’t tell anyone...and no trust me I get it, I-I’m afraid of them myself...or well...any sort of storm...aside from maybe a blizzard but yeah...”

Nightmare would be a bit caught off-guard when the other would join up with him, but after the initial surprise he seems to calm down some, having a friend nearby seems to help...well... Until another loud thunderstrike booms outside, rather close this time, making him let out a surprisingly high-pitched yelp, burying his head into the blankets and covering his ears, nearly hyper-ventilating for a bit before calming down a bit

As if almost in complete synchronization, Volt yelped at the same moment as Nightmare did and buried deeper into the pile of blankets next to his friend. As the noise subsided, he noticed how Nightmare was hyper-ventilating and placed his paw against Nightmare, trying to help him calm down.

Not so Grand Re-Opening! (Open)

“Alright…this isn’t such a good way to start…Uhmmm…” *The Chu would mutter to himself, grumbling as he darts back and fourth through the small shop, fixing up little messes and other little problems he forgot to take care of before opening for the day…though when he hears the door’s bell jingle he jumps a little…a customer, so soon?!

“A-Ack! Uhmm…H-hey, sorry about the bit of mess uhmmm…what can I help ya with today?”

“So…I’m gonna have to take a look about it to check for any damages…uhmmm…making sure but did you try to shock it at all before? It sounds like a good idea at first but that usually damages it more…” He takes a deep breath to calm himself so he doesn’t mess up when he actually starts working on it, though his own tail seems to be joining in on the swishing and swaying “May I take a look over it?”

Volt squeaked when asked about having it zapped. They didn’t know what it was, so didn’t want to risk anything either.

“No....did not zap the device.” “Didn’t know what it was...so didn’t take any chances”

When asked to look at the device, the Pikachu happily handed it over to the other and followed happily with their eyes to see what was going to happen.

Not so Grand Re-Opening! (Open)

“Alright…this isn’t such a good way to start…Uhmmm…” *The Chu would mutter to himself, grumbling as he darts back and fourth through the small shop, fixing up little messes and other little problems he forgot to take care of before opening for the day…though when he hears the door’s bell jingle he jumps a little…a customer, so soon?!

“A-Ack! Uhmm…H-hey, sorry about the bit of mess uhmmm…what can I help ya with today?”

This Shop seemed to be different. It looks old and been around a long time, but on the other paw, Volt doesn’t recall it ever being open or used in the past. Granted, they were still relatively new to the area, but they had asked around. If anything this was the only place that could be able to help him.

Entering the store triggered the bell. Great no walking around in peace, the owner would most likely show up any instant now. And there we had it, a voice calling out and apologizing for the mess. It sounded young however, maybe even Volt’s age.

“Oh…..euhm…..hi!“ “I…euh….need something….examined?” “Maybe…repaired? I don’t know…it’s..kind of old” “Don’t even know what it’s for….found it in some ruin”

Volt shows the other Pikachu a device that doesn’t turn on, but seems to have a display and some buttons on it.

Another Chu? This isn’t exactly what he’s used to but it’s not an unwelcome surprise…either way they’d wave a paw to the other while listening to them speak, going and sitting upon the stool behind the counter…Ahhh…?

Upon seeing the device in question the orange Chu’s eyes light up in wonder and excitement, nodding in response! This is one of those “gaming” devices humans play with right? “That I can do! I’m pretty sure I know what this might be, and what it might take to repair it, I’ve seen some humans have this object…but some have newer ones? But yeah we can get that fixed gladly!”

Volt was confused. A gaming device? Well it belongs to humans and they did more crazy things like stuffing us in small balls. But gaming? So this was supposed to be something fun?

“I...don’t know what you’re talking about...” “But you seem excited and know what it is” “What would it take to get this fixed?” “I...don’t really understand human language, but a friend of mine does” “So...maybe this can be a gift for him”

Volt’s tail was eagerly swishing left and right as well now, feeding on the excitement of the other Pikachu.

"Uh. So you're asking me?" Sylvia blinked. What about her gave this Pikachu the idea she knew anything about cute things, let alone more than the average person?

"I guess I can try. Just don't expect me to be an expert."

“Okay! Okay! Here goes!” “So Rivor keeps telling me I’m cute, and I say no!” “And then he says I’m adorable, and keeps going on” “So since you’re the export on cute, do you agree with his assessment?” “Or is he like totally wrong?”

If Volt would explain these sentenced any faster than they just had done, they’d be shooting sparks from their mouth.

The Pikachu was laughing with a shy smile, clearly unsure on how to even counter his partner on this.

Rivors grin had not gone away. He loved to tease, and seeing how flustered he got.. well, that just made him want to do it more.

     “  All I’m guilty of right now is telling the truth.  “

The Pikachu just made squealing noises from being flustered, unable to make a retort against Rivor. They’d find something one day where they could turn the tables, but today was not that day.

“Your truth...sounds biased...” “We need to get a second opinion.....like Syl’s or something”

The Sandslash could merely smile at Volts reaction. How could he not keep playing on this? Wasn’t like he was lying about it anyway.

As if he didn’t know what was about to happen with everyone else jumping on the train. Now Volt was in on it too, which at first just made him huff.
