I think that a lot of the fascination with the Bricks And Minifigs Scandal stems from the worry that we are collectively witnessing a heist in real time, and no one is going to be able to stop it. The corruption is too entrenched, and the corrupt are too powerful. They don't care that they were caught stealing, and that we can all see them doing it. They are confident they are going to get away with it because nothing has given them the impression otherwise. And why not? Our society seems to reward the worst people right now. The doctrine of "loudly deny your wrongdoing, and weaponize institutions to threaten and silence your victims" got Donald Trump elected twice.

Another update on the bricks and minifigs scandal:

-reckless ben isn't actually allowed to say "bricks and minifigs" anymore. Well, to be clear, he cannot name this "mysterious company" anymore otherwise he risks immediately forfeiting the lawsuits, damaging his criminal cases, and losing the gofundme. You know, the one with almost half a million dollars in it.

-speaking of the GoFundMe, it was briefly taken down and after some backlash, was reinstated.

-coffeezilla released his investigation on youtube and interview the CEO himself where he found even more holes in their story (where they claimed they knew nothing of course)

-there's now bricks and minifigs vigilantes that are going to completely unrelated stores and causing issues (please do not do this btw)

I saw the amazing digital circus the last act in theaters today and is was pretty good, confirmed what I knew about how they were all there, learned some new stuff, did things I didn't expect, and had some stuff that may seem like it didn't make sense until you learn about how programs work. That said I will say ONE spoiler thing so do NOT click it the keep read button if you don't want the spoiler.

I'm serious. Its not plot relevant but it is STILL a spoiler.

I kinda like the idea of jax becoming a cautionary tale of what happens when you let dysphoria and self hatred eat you alive. I've met so many of him IRL in my own circles. I think people need to hear it. I need more characters who eat themselves alive and actually have to suffer the consequences of not choosing to be better. It's pretty refreshing to see a different and nuanced take on dysphoria and how it doesn't always manifest the way you would expect.
