Oh boy 🤣First of all I 1000% recommend watching Rick and Morty cuz it's SO GOOD, but also because it's always been sorta cest-friendly in a way. The creators love incest jokes so there are a LOT of them in the show, and Dan Harmon himself even explained/defended this, which you can read about here . (Not to mention this show is FAR from being wholesome, so it's not that big of a shock to the fandom and you know the creators are just gonna laugh about it, so there's zero guilt in my opinion) They've also openly stated that because The Multiverse Theory is real in the Rick and Morty universe that all headcannons and fan theories are actually canon due to the fact that they've probably happened in at least one of the infinite realities explored in the show. So all that, and the various less-than-wholesome activities Rick and Morty have engaged in with eachother and their overall affection and attitude towards one another, it's a little hard NOT to ship them, or at least acknowledge that there's definitely a universe where they've boned and/or been romantically involved. I'd love to explain all of these ship-y moments, but it's MUCH better if you watch it yourself to find out 😉
