Also just saying this here to avoid it getting too far outside of the community mainly because I really don’t want to cause a huge thing right now. There is no way in hell I will ever switch to any other site than youtube. The other sites are funded by the wrong people and some of the people that they chose to be the faces of their platform really shows what they care about. If I were to switch to anything it would be youtube which I am going to try to build up in the coming months. I know YouTube also has its fair share of problems, but the difference is they don’t have the people saying this vile stuff on their front page. I’ll stay on twitch as long as I can simply because it’s still sadly the most viable at this point. I don’t see this happening, but just with all the stuff that’s happened today I’ve seen some really disheartening stuff from people supporting these platforms.
I do not respect any creator that switches to those sites if they are fully aware of what goes on, unpunished, on those platforms.
If there is ever an alternative that isn’t funded by right wing dumbasses that harbor communities that spam W while talking about trans genocide then maybe I’ll consider it but until then sadly I have no other options.
For the few QNA people askin me about the whole thing, heres what I said a few months ago, and it hasnt changed. To reinstate and add a little however: I dont respect any creator that joins that platform if they are aware of what happens on that platform. Nothing more to add to it. It is about money at the end of the day no matter how you try to spin it. And thats sad that people are willing to put the safety and wellbeing of their community at risk and support what happens there for a high enough figure. I mean for christs sake if the CEOS cared about making their platform safer they would have. Just say you want money and go. I could go more into it but honestly it just makes me really fucking sad so ill leave it at that. Please do not support creators that join kick.
