I crave the quiet intimacy of just being there for her. When the day feels overwhelming and everything feels too much.

Taking her into my arms and holding her close. When she’s too tried to speak or simply can’t find the words, I’ll hold her close in silence. Gentle fingers stroking through her hair, my breathing steady and grounding under her cheek. Each soft brush of my fingers, every tightening of my arms around her, every kiss pressed into her hair. All silently telling her how loved she is, how cherished she is, how safe she is with me. To be herself, to not pretend, to just feel what she is feeling without trying to put on the brave mask she wears around everyone else.
