Strategies I have used to try to avoid getting the wasp out of the room:

"Shouldn’t we let nature take its course? The wasp will eventually die."

"Mom will be home in three hours; perhaps the wasp-removal process can wait until then."

"Let’s open the window and see if the wasp will fly out."

"Perhaps there is a wasp removal service that will get the wasp out of the room for a small fee. Let me look on google."

"You’re four now. You’re a big kid. Maybe you want to attempt to get the wasp out of the room."

"Maybe we should just leave the house and go to the playground and hope that the wasp has magically disappeared by the time we return."

"Alternately, we could just sell this house and find a different, waspless one."

My grandpa has Alzheimer’s so he has no idea who my grandma is but everyday for the last three or four months he brings her in flowers from their garden and asks her to run away with him and be his wife and everyday she says she already is and everyday the smile my grandpa gets on his face is the most beautiful heartfelt thing I have ever seen.
