first meetings | jooyoung x siwan
yjxjooyoung:
eurwangni beach. not the most beautiful beach in south korea, but it was the closes to mount heroes. jooyoung had just returned back from her usual summer trip in greece. her fair skin, darkened by the mediterranean summer sun. it would take months for her tan to fade, but it didn’t bother her. the summer breeze blew through her hair as seagulls screamed above her. the princess took a deep breath, smelling the oceanic air. she was home.
jooyoung adjusted her non-prescription glasses as she walked down the street with the sun blaring down. however, the south korean sun cannot even compare to the grecian sun. the heat in greece was unbearable, which is the one thing she missed while she was away from home. as she continued to wonder, her chocolate irises had never left the wonder view of the sea. the girl adjusted her little backpack straps and moved on out to the boat dock.
it wasn’t like her to avoid the sand at beaches, but eurwangni beach was known for it’s shellfish mating or crowding around the beaches. plus she didn’t want to hurt them. fish are friend, not food or toys.
boats were parked out by each side of the dock as she walked by. the princess made her way to the end of the cement dock and stood by the edge, staring out at the ocean. it was an incredible view. this was her home, her kingdom, but a part of her knew that she wasn’t even ready to take the throne if her father abdicated to her. jooyoung closed her eyes for a moment, listening to the sound of waves crashing along the shoreline.
he wasn’t one for beaches; at least, from what he knows. before his release from the facility a few years ago, venturing to the outside world was a non-existent luxury -- everything he came to know being from the result of force-fed information whether it was from electrical stimulation or his ‘special’ ability.
however, ever since he began his so called ‘freedom’, this was the first time siwan had actually stepped foot on the same soil of the thin border between land and sea. and comparing the image before him to the memories embedded in his mind, well, the experience is to each their own, he supposes. not that it mattered at the moment. after all, he came to eurwangni for a purpose.
with the sun’s bright rays causing him to squint, the man’s gaze scanned the scenery around him until recognizing the figure he was looking for -- the once lost, but now found first princess of haitan, han jooyoung.
at first glance, she honestly seemed like any other girl (much to his confusion). why his superiors chose her to be the key in order for him to win over the heroes’ favor was still kept in the dark; but for now, siwan just had to trust the information given to him and use it to get close to her. that was his mission, for now.
hands stuffed into his jean pockets and strolling along the dock as any passerby would, he nonchalantly approached the princess who was busy taking in her surroundings, finding himself clearing his throat to alert her of his presence before sparking up a conversation. “first time here?”
