introducing the 2018 yuri on ice charity auction!!!
hello everyone and welcome to @yoicharityauction, the yuri on ice branch of @fandomtrumpshate!
over the last few years fandom trumps hate has been working hard to organize a multi-fandom charity auction event with proceeds that benefit charities focusing on those who are often subject of hate, such as lgbtqiap+ people, women, people of color, religious minorities, people who are disabled, and the impoverished, which are listed here. @yoicharityauction received permission a while ago to officiate a yuri on ice version of the auctions. after lots of planning and research we are ready to go live!
[special thanks to @n3rdlif343va for the banner!]
what is yoi trumps hate? an online fanwork auction benefiting a variety of vetted charities and organizations, such as the aclu, planned parenthood, and the national immigrant justice center.
how does it work? contributors sign up to offer their skills at auction. the winning bidder will then donate their bid amount directly to one of these charities, then send the contributor and me proof of their charitable donation. once we know you’ve donated, the contributors will get to work on your request!
when is it happening? we wanted it to happen soon enough in case anyone was interested in using this event to bid on holiday gifts. contributors may sign up starting october 14, and bidding is set to start on november 4. you can find the full schedule here.
what kinds of fanworks are accepted? we are currently only able to offer fanworks that can be digitally delivered, in the following categories: fanfic, fanart, podfic, fanvid, and fan skills such as betaing or translation. gen, platonic, and romantic works are accepted, and contributors of all levels of talent are welcome to join!
if this sounds like something you are interested in, please check out the faq and about pages for more information!
sign-ups open on october 14th! see you then!
if you guys are interested in spreading kindness, this is a good event to join! it’s hosted by both mac and sam, the same hosts of the yoiflowergrams event!
