Made a series of 3D bday cards for pals based on approaches used in the red tree project, combining print textures with pop up elements. Really enjoyed adding another dimension to my work and playing around with what I can create.

Final 1/2 artworks for my interpretation of The Red Tree by Shaun Tan, after much editing on photoshop I got the result I was looking for. Such a good project to work on as I feel I really pushed myself and used techniques I hadn’t before tackled. Cheers to Tan for writing such a beautiful narrative!

Test shots of my 3D scenes using printed textures- I decided to go with the first image of the book “sometimes the day begins with nothing to look forward to” and “nobody understands” mainly because I wanted to make a cactus!
