↳ You and Venom were to meet up with your peers from Class 1-A at the mall. Lowkey kinda fun.
(A/N: Stole this from one of my chapters in "Home". I felt the need to publish something loll )
You felt a harsh jab at your side. Your brain was fuzzy. You moaned slightly as you turned over on the bed, adjusting the covers harshly over your shoulder. A comforting warmth spreading.
Suddenly a harsh breeze of cold morning air blow over your being, you instictively curled up for warmth. Unfortunately Venom wasn't having it. You were dragged forcefully out of your bed, your legs moving and making you reach the bathroom.
"Come on V..." You groaned, rubbing your eyes from the harsh light and sleeping dust.
"Get ready, it is 11:20."
"Eleven...twenty? Eleven twent-"
You scrambled to brush your teeth, fix your hair, rinse your face and put your clothes on.
You checked your phone between steps, seeing +20 messages on the Class 1-A gc; Fight Club But With Quirks.
Ribbit Friend: @micssecretlovechild, better hurry, Bakugo's impatient.
Ochachaka Leg: @midochondria do you have a charger?
ExplosionGodDynamite: @ribbitch what the hell you say!?
HardrockorRockHard: Yo, not manly dude!
ExplosionGodDynamite: Shut up shitty hair.
PikaPika: @OchachakaLeg: I can always charge :D
Ochachaka Leg: ^ Oh really? Ty!
AlienQueenz: Me and a few others are on the bench rn! Waiting for ya'll !
AlienQueenz: [Photo Sent]
A small sweat rolled as you read through the messages.
Shaking your head, you responded 'Omw rn!' before adjusting your shoes and running out the door, saying a quick cya to Present Mic.
With the help of Venom's boost and a few 'excuse me's' and 'sorry's' later, you managed to reach the mall within 10 minutes. By the time you arrived it was 11:40.
'Maybe we can buy some chocolate here. I heard of a candy store here!'
You checked your phone again and headed towards the meeting spot.
You immediately saw Mina, Tokoyami, Kaminari indeed on a bench, a few others grouped around. The alien perked as she saw you, waving before rushing over and enveloping you with open arms. "You made it!" She squeeled.
You sweat as you patted her back. "Luckily."
She had let go of you and a few others greeted you.
Soon the whole of class 1-A gathered and had ran over the plan—Iida taking charge for the majority though.
"Okay, so...3-3:20 is when we meet back at the food court and split into groups." Midoriya summarized to which the class rep affirmed with a stern 'yes'. "No splitting off from your groups!" He warned once more.
Within a few seconds, your classmates were already split, girls and boys.
'so much for groups.' You deadpanned.
"Miniso!" Uraraka smiled, pointing over to the korean store.
The six of you went in. You were surprised at the variety of things they had—and they seemed quite the quality...yet the prices.
"Find anything you like?" Jirou asked, walking over towards you. You shrugged. "Kinda hard, theres a lot here." You scratched your head. The girl nodded with a small smile.
You guys spent a few more minutes in the store. You patted Uraraka's back as she sulked at the prices. You would've offered to pay if you weren't poor yourself. You also sulked as you later found a cute figurine collectable yet it was...$35.99.
In the end, Mina ended up buying some lipstick and a keychain while Tsu bought a small keychain for her sister.
It wasn't long of a walk until a Momo and Mina picked the next stop of being a clothing store.
You, Tsu and Jirou stayed together as you looked at the grunge and aesthetic section.
"How does this look?" You asked, holding up a hoodie with cuts on the bell sleeves, covered with corset-like ribbon pattern. It was your favorite color and conveniently had a cool design with your favorite flower.
Jirou gave a thumbs up as Tsu nodded. "Definitely suits you, ribbit. You should buy it!" The other nodded in agreement.
"Hey guys!" Hagakure's voice caught your guys' attention. You looked over and saw her holding up a cute top with lace decorating it—ribbon on the sides. "Do you think this would look good on me?"
Momo then showed up, along with Mina who held a few clothes in their arms.
You and the other two glanced the each other, knowing what this was about to become.
Mina sighed, heading back to the changing room.
Next was Momo who opened the curtain, revealing a chic and feminine outfit. A White turtleneck with a beige leather blazer-like jacket with gold accents on the ends and a pair of white pencil pants that fit her shape to go with. Golden chains with pearls in the mix adorning her neck.
Mina, Hagakure and Uraraka squeeled in awe, giving thumbs up and compliments. You let out a smile giving a thumbs up as well as Tsu. Momo let out a bashful smile, a small blush of embarrassment hueing her cheeks a pretty pink.
Uraraka was up. She opened the curtains to reveal a aesthetic preppy outfit. A beige-pink boho blouse with flowers decorating, loosely tucked into a white pleated skirt, small chains dangling on the side. She wore white knee high transluscent stockings with pink ribbon tied into a bow.
You all agreed and complimented her choice. Momo insisting that she paid.
It was then Hagakure. She revealed to be in a baby pink silk corset top with some flared blue jeans. Charms of stars and pastel colors dangling on the side. Around her was a fluffy brown jacket.
Uraraka deadpanned with a small smile. "I think you should loose the jacket." Others agreed.
The girl let out a defeated sigh. "But it's so comfy..!" She frowned.
Next was Tsu. You had helped her pick an outfit before hand, you were intrigued to see what it would look like. The curtains had opened.
"Ahh! It looks so cute!" Mina grinned.
"It's quite fitting. You look very stylish." Momo smiled, clasping her hands, Hagakure and Uraraka agreeing.
Tsu wore a off the shoulder desaturated yellow and dark green striped shirt. Over were denim overalls with frogs for buttons. On top was a frog beige summer hat. It wasn't much though it was cute.
"Very nice." You commented, giving another thumbs up.
Finally it was your turn. Momo had helped you pick it out. As you exited the changing room, your friends' faces lit at the sight. You had on a slightly fuzzy white turtleneck sweater with a black heart in front. A loose yet fitted cropped black jacket, the sleeves expanding new the wrist. The hood had black fuzz on the end—it made you shoulders sharper in a fashionable way.
The sweater was tucked into navy lace up shorts which reached different lengths. Your right leg was towards your knee and your left leg was just below. The jean-shorts had stitch mark outlining in white and faint strings that laced the shorts in your favorite color.
You had on black acrylic leg warmers to finish it off.
(Credits go to the original owner!)
"Jeez, I didn't know you had such taste." Hagakure awed in surprise.
You rubbed your neck looking off with a waving off expression. "Eh, Momo actually helped me on this one. I just told her stuff and boom." You shrugged.
The others looked at the ravenette with surprise.
"Wow, Yaoyorozu keeps surprising me." Uraraka smiled, Tsu agreed. "Didn't realize you could make other styles work. That's impressive!"
The girl blushed from the compliments once more, saying a quiet thank you.
Afterwards, you guys ended up trying at least 26 outfits in total. It surprsingly was only 12:37 when you guys finished.
The rich and high end teen urged to pay for two complete outfits for each of you, as a token of friendship.
You all were quite worried for Momo's credit card, Uraraka panicking with immense shock at the price. Hagakure not too far off while Mina sweated nervously. You and Tsu looked at each other deadpanning at the casual swiping of the card reader. A deep pit of guilt and utter mortification enveloped your being as her card was accepted.
You all as well learned she wouldn't take no for an answer if she was determined.
As the seven of you strolled through the mall, you ended up visiting 6 stores. A manga store, regular book store, some candy shop, two clothing shops—Issey Miyake being one of them, and a designer store.
You swore you felt your soul leaving you, Uraraka in the same boat with you as you leaned against each other on a bench, barely processing all the events and stores you walked foot in.
You looked over and saw the 1-A boys, most having a bag or two.
Some of the girls greeted them, while others such as yourself and your bobbed hair peer were too busy in your own world. Nonetheless you gave Kirishima a thumbs up as he stared concerned for you and his classmate.
"Woah, isn't that brand like—insanely pricey?" Sato asked, pointing out the 3 designer brand bags—one near your foot that now belonged to you.
The others looked down at the purchases, some dumbfounded if they knew the brands, others who didn't were a little lost.
Mina nodded towards her classmate. "It was insane in a really good way.." She slumped with a whine of mixed emotions.
Some of your classmates sweat in confusion.
Your eyes wandered your surroundings.
You let your head move to the side on your left. Your eyes brightening at the sign: "Round One".
"Yo, who's up to get beaten in DDR?" You grinned. The others looked over towards you, before looking towards where you were pointing.
"It is now, Kaminari vs Brock!" Iida announced, some of your classmates gathered, while the rest were occupied with their own finds.
"Ready to lose?" Kaminari smirked. You looked over towards him. "Like your match in the sports festival? Nah." You grinned, his smirk faltered, a blank look on his face, his lips in a motionless straight line, his eyes staring blankly ahead. (Scene in sports festival after he got called a dunce.)
You both started on level 1. Both of you passed easily, much like the following levels up to 6. The small crowd of 1-A students were joined by other spectators who found interest in the playful match.
Kaminari scratched his neck, "Your doing slightly better than I thought." he grinned worryingly. It didn't help when you sent him a threatening smile. "Your going down." You stated, facing the screen.
The electricity use looked over to his friends, as if to ask if they saw that too. Bakugo only tched as usual. Sero put his hands up and looked away while Kirishima gave a nervous thumbs up with a reassuring toothy grin.
"So much for your guys' help." The blonde mumbled, returning his attention to the screen once more.
Level 9. It was definitely a push from the earlier rounds. The arrows speed increased and the patterns were harder to follow. Yet, you were able to follow with eyes, your feet quickly yet gracefully tapping the following keys with accuracy.
Meanwhile the cocky black streak-blonde started sweating. He was keeping up though in a much poorer fashion. His movements were rushed and finicky, missing a few notes every other key or so. His breath with rigid and made it messier to focus.
As the round came to an end, Kaminari was panting slightly. You looked over with a prideful grin. "Give up?" The boy rolled his eyes, waving his finger in front before clearing his throat yet still catching a few breaths here and there. "Nuh—uh. We'll truly see the winner with the next round—level 10."
You cocked a brow before your grin widened. "Let's bet."
And so, you both bet that the winner gains ¥6988—A rough $50.
To everybody's surprise, you didn't go for the 12.
With each skip, the crowd around murmured. A few hushed laughs and giggles were emitted from some, believing you were possibly too prideful, or were trying to show off. Why?
Level 16. It wasn't the best yet takes immense speed, concentration and accuracy.
Kaminari looked over in confusion to all the commotion around. His eyes falling onto your level choice, a cocky smile drawing on his face. "You're making this easy money, Brock." Your eyes narrowed with a light smile.
You didn't say anything as Iida announced to start, to which you both clicked 'begin'.
It wasn't long until Kaminari was struggling to keep up with his own keys.
In the middle of the round, the black streak blonde gave up, the keys zooming past his view, overwhelming him before he could react.
With a huff of defeat, he looked over to his opponent only to gape in disbelief.
You were earning hushed praises and surprised stares as you kept up with each key while looking good. Your movements were rough in a capturing way—your legs seeming to control themselves as your eyes were locked onto the screen.
You weren't even using the support bar.
Sero patted the crushed man as he slumped over, dramatic tears strolling down his face.
As the dance came to an end, the crowd around as well as majority of your classmates that came to see the commotion, cheered and applauded for your performance
You looked around with a small blush of embarrassment. You cleared your throat and gave a light thanks before the crowd started to disperse. You turned to the sulking lightning boy, turning your hand in front of you.
The teen groaned sadly, taking his wallet and giving you a crisp stack of cash.
You slapped his hand lightly, placing it in front again. Kaminari stared confusedly before shaking your hand. "Good game." You smiled, he grinned, "Same to you."
A small pause fell between you two.
You had found Todoroki in the midst of the busy arcade, his concentration frozen at the claw machine. You walked over towards him, tapping him on the shoulder. He let out a small sigh as the bunny plush fell from the metal's lousy grip before turning towards you.
"How ya doin'?" You tilted your head. The boy's features relaxed. "I had just lost my 5th try." He stated, looking back at the machine he just lost to.
You hummed, "why not use your quirk?" Though Todoroki shook his head, informing you that all arcade machines nullified Quirk usage on and in them. You ahh'd in response.
'we are not a Quirk though.'
You could feel Venom practically grinning from the inside. Though he had a point...
You turned towards the boy, "give me one try." You stared at him, pointing your pointer finger in the air, resembling a 1.
Todoroki nodded, moving out of the way for you to give a go at the rigged thing.
Getting in position, you inserted the credits and the countdown started, flashing lights and upbeat music rung.
You positioned the claw just above the bunny that the teen was aiming for earlier, before turning your head towards the said teen who's eyes and attention were fixated on you and the game. "Do me a favor and close your eyes just for a bit."
The boy was hesitant, though confusedly looked at the ground and used his hands to cover his eyes. You grinned.
Venom quickly sent a tendril into the machine's opening and towards the wanted bunny, before returning to you, leaving a small bit of himself on the plushie. As the claw dropped, the small piece of black mass attached itself to the metal, securing a successful drop.
You watched with a cool excitement as the the plush was then dropped into the cut opening and into the prize out. Venom reattaching as you grabbed the thing.
Todoroki did as instructed, his eyes widening in surprise. The plush he was struggling to get—trapped behind enforced glass was now in front of him, with only the space between you two separating it from him.
He swallowed with a slight suspicion, though pushed it away—the feeling being replaced by a fluttering in his stomach.
He grabbed the white and brown bunny from your hands gently and examined it. He let out a cold breath before looking towards you, a small sparkle in his eye. "Thank you." A faint smile was apparent if you looked closely.
You nodded, returning that rare quirk of your lips.
"Let me win you something." Todoroki spoke. You blinked before shaking your head. "No need, really-" You were quick to be shut down with a intimidating stare. You rubbed your head, looking wide eyed at the ground with a sweat. "Uh sure, no problem." You grinned.
You and Icy-Hot walked passed many arcade machines. Though none of the prizes sparkled in your eye...that was until you came across a chicken plush. It was a saturated brown in a chibi style—it's material a velvety softness. Pink ovals were sewn near the eyes which were small dots.
It was quite the size, it was comparable to a Miniso medium sized plush.
'Y/N! We must get this one!'
You agreed and walked over to the claw machine, Todoroki following in suite. You then pointed towards the specific chicken pillow-plush. The boy looked over at the wanted prize and turned, inserting a credit.
You watched with anticipation as the claw was moved with stutters to the right, and then foward before being jutted backwards. It's position was readjusted a few times before Todoroki pressed the button.
Your brows furrowed with hope as the claw grabbed around the thing, picking it up. Though you let out a huff as the chicken dropped back down seconds later as the claw moved.
Todoroki's brows furrowed as he entered another credit. He tried going once again. Moving the claw into position before bringing it down. A small hope burned as it picked the plush-pillow once again, this time it seemed as if it would obey his quiet command. Unfortunately it dropped just a few inches near the prize outting cut.
He sighed with annoyance before glancing back at your defeated expression.
'No. I'll win this. I need to.'
He looked down at the brown and white plush he held between his arm and torso. Determination filling him. He entered another credit, letting his gut control his moves.
He let out an exhale, pressing onto the button.
The claw slowly traveled down, it's metallic spikes widening before latching on.
It was then slowly raised up. Todoroki's breath hitched as the chicken wobbled—it was halfway there.
Just centimeters away, the chicken fell. Though, fortunately, the tag was caught on one of the claw's spikes, allowing for a successful win.
A breath left him as he crouched to pick the plush up, before turning towards you and walking over. You grinned excitedly, looking at the prize with stars in your eyes. Venom was also cheering within your head, already naming it 'Cher'.
He held the chicken out. You gladly took it with gentleness as he did with you. "Thank you, Todoroki."
He nodded, a small smile gracing his lips once more.
The rest of your time at the arcade flew by. You and the peppermint boy visited more games and inserted more tokens into the machines, you even managed to get him to play a shooter with you. Though after a few rounds he was then stuck in a conversation with Uraraka and Midoriya.
You bumped into a few other classmates as you roamed the lit up and crowded gambling center. You hung out with Jirou for a bit, playing a guitar game as well as another claw machine for mini keychains which were easiest to win.
You then met with Mina as she dragged you from station to station—ultimately ending with a bunch of tickets and new Chiikawa keychains.
And then it was Sato and Tokoyami along with Koda. You haven't spoken much to them. However you found them to be peaceful and engaging company as you four played multiple player air hockey. The end score was;
As you searched for anything else, you spotted a familiar black tee with black cargo pants near the rhythm game section. You quirked a brow as you walked over to him.
"I didn't realize you were into Project Sekai, Bakugo." You hummed, your face blank with amusement.
The teen turned to look at you with a annoyed expression, a scowl on his face. "Shut up damn mud-fest!" He frowned, his eyes raging. "I am not into whatever that is." He growled.
You hummed doubtfully a small 'mhm'. "Well, wanna play a round?" The boy scoffed, "Like hell i'd get caught playing that, with you nonetheless. Fuck off." He grit his teeth, a angry tickmark on his head as he turned to leave.
"One round is too much to bruise the all mighty ego of a loud blonde." You murmured. However the said loud blonde heard you as he turned right back to yell at you. You swore your hair flew a bit.
The boy grit his teeth in anger before mumbling a spit of curses and incoherent words before doing his signature waddle stomp towards the game. He then turned his head towards you, sending a deadly glare.
"Word of this, and i'll blow your ass to bits. One game."
You started at a level medium before making your way to impossible and expert. You were indeed, no expert. However, you took glances from time to time at Bakugo next to you, who seemed quite in the zone—peacefully determined even, as he tapped away on the screen.
'He is lying. I bet he's practices this in his free time.'
You let out a small snort.
'wouldn't be too surprising.'
As the two of you finished, Bakugo had left in denial, waddling stomping out of there with a 'fuck you' signed with his finger.
Though Tsu had spotted you, and you both hit it off from there, both having the same idea to just relax and look around for the last 10 minutes before it officially hit 3.
You walked side by side, starting small conversation about whatever you two found appealing. At some point, Tsu stopped at the ticket shop that was filled to the brim with useless shit and quality stuff.
Cute animal keychains caught both your attentions. From food-animals to cute ones, and then just straight up goofy ones meant for gag gifts.
Ultimately, Tsu bought a cute burger capybara and flower frog.
You had bought two as well—an astronaught kitty that looked like a copy from the strawberry hat meme. and a spicy ramen noodle hat cat similar to yours.
You sweat nervously, looking down at the food keychain.'He better not explode us.'
The rest of Class 1-A met in the meeting spot from just a few hours ago. All of you seeming either worn out or hyper. Bags upon bags filled what used to be empty hands, even yours.
One by one, the group thinned, students leaving and being picked up.
You quickly spotted Bakugo heading out, and you jogged over to him, catching up and catching him off guard, which was replaced with annoyance.
"Hell do you want again, mud-fest?"
You deadpanned. "You really need to create better nicknames. Thats just boring." You frowned to which he ignored.
You dove your hand into your bag of goods before hesitantly pulling out the ramen cat.
You looked up at the skeptical blonde.
"Before you start yapping. Here. Don't think it's a joke or some gag, just thought it could cheer you, since you like spicy stuff." You shrugged, handing out the ramen cat keychain.
Bakugo stared at the thing before looking at you, glaring daggers.
"I don't need some damn keychain. I'm not 7." He growled.
You furrowed your brows, looking anywhere but his eyes.
After a few moments washed by, you heard a faint 'whatever' before your hand felt empty and a cold swish of air blew past you subtly. You looked down to see your hand was indeed empty, as well as the space in front of you.
Looking to your right, you saw Bakugo walking off, his hand in his pocket while the other held something.
You let out a sigh of relief, subtly smiling to yourself.
As you walked down the street, you couldn't help but feel a light fluttering in your stomach.
You recalled your day at the mall, spending time with your classmates which you found out to be quite refreshing and amusing.
You moved your bags to your non-dominant hand and pulled out your phone from your pocket, and opened the class groupchat.
You smiled at the little messages displayed from many of your peers and...friends.
