Κοίταξα τον καθρέφτη.

Κι έμεινα μέσα από αυτόν να κοιτάω το παράθυρο και τον ουρανό.

Και τότε συνειδητοποίησα τη γελοιότητα μου·

Γιατί δεν κοιτάω απευθείας το παράθυρο, που είναι αριστερά μου;

Και τότε συνειδητοποίησα τη δεύτερη γελοιότητα μου·

Γιατί δεν κοιτάω απευθείας τον ουρανό περνώντας την πόρτα, που είναι δεξιά μου;

Και τότε συνειδητοποίησα το πιο τρομαχτικό·

Μήπως έτσι τελικά ζω και τη ζωή μου; Κοιτώντας μέσα από καθρέφτες, ενώ η πόρτα είναι δίπλα μου;
