thinking about how in daylight taylor says “I once believed love would be burning red but its golden” and theres this scene in the Lover music video where the background is red but Taylor and Christian are both wearing yellow and its like the only scene in the house where their clothing color and background color dont match

I know I talked about this last era but no ones talking about how shitty and unfair the limited time merch and flash sales are

Most of Taylor’s demographic are college aged ppl who work minimum wage jobs and have to save to buy luxury items like cool merch and signed cd inserts. Like, Taylor and her team severely overestimate the financial status of Taylor’s fans and it shows when they put up these pricey items on the store for a limited time so people feel pressured to spend their grocery money, gas money, bill money, etc on something they really want lest they want to miss it altogether and it’s just... not cool.

+ these flash sales and limited time items put the international fans at a disadvantage because they usually happen during the daytime in the US

And I’m not dragging Taylor or her team really.. I just think they have a massive classism problem and they severely lack an understanding of what Taylors demographic can afford.

I remember I once saw a singer (I wanna say it was Sia or Nicki Minaj but I don’t remember) straight up just ask her fans on twitter how much they make so she could make sure ticket prices were within her fans reach and like.. I wish Taylor would do that. It would be really helpful on both ends if Taylor or TN ran a survey on how much the average fan makes and can put aside to spend on merchandise and tickets without hurting themselves financially
