Looks like my current hyperfixation is going to get me to read a book I bought almost a year ago and had been putting on standby in favor of others.

Honestly I was considering whether I should read it or not, since most likely it will just have like 2 references/similarities or something, but I figured, hey. It's actually quite short, I could probably read it in a day, plus, I already have it just laying around...

So now the other 2 books I was in the middle of are on standby

Rick and Morty Season 9 Episode 8 spoilers

WTF WTF WTF WAIT WHAT HOLD YOUR HORSES I NEED TO REWATCH THAT 3 TIMES

Ok so Rick made Morty cry before the opening theme played, nice going asshole. AND THEN MORTY BECAME THE ASSHOLE honestly he shot the monster, was so done with Summer, did the thing with the ship, but the most striking thing was that he delivered the COLDEST lines insulting Rick because.... yeah. But also that was so damn cold even Rick hesitated for a second before realizing what happened because Morty would never say that.

The fact that Morty basically just asked for a hug at the end broke me, and none of what Rick did, said, or gave him really helped with that for me because he was under the influence of the bug. He did kinda tell the kid to keep his emotional distance from him in the end so that's that.

Also, Rick got rid of the bug, but did Morty get his empathy back? Like, did Rick fix that? I couldn't tell... I think not because of him not enjoying the card tho. Maybe I'm wrong, who knows.

Also Jerry scaring a serial killer was peak (we all knew he was gonna get shot as soon as he came out, which totally deserved btw, since, well, serial killer.)

I'm a Morty fan, can you tell I'm a Morty fan? I love Morty. He's my kid. He does not deserve to be told he's bait by Rick, he even argues that Rick had told him he wasn't before, that broke my heart, the kid breaks my heart.

TLDR: Rick is an emotionally unavailable asshole, so instead of dealing with the consequences of his actions, he drugs his grandson.

Being a Rick and Morty fan on release Sundays means wasting the entire day being anxious and/or excited for the new episode and just wanting the day to be practically over so you can see it and then freak out with everyone else on social media.

Rick and Morty Season 9 Episode 7 spoilers

I didn’t dislike the episode. I think it's cool that Morty wasn’t the one in the wrong and falling for a trap strangers plan for him. It doesn't happen that often, so I love to see it.

It definitely wasn't as emotionally heavy as the previous ones from this season. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. The concept was interesting and it kept me engaged, so I consider that enought.

That said... Holy. Fucking. Shit. Did you see the preview of episode 8????

It left me in shock from only the few seconds it played. I consider this last episode a break because of what is about to happen on the next one. I'm gonna start emotionally preparing myself for that now.

Rick and Morty Season 9 Episode 6 spoilers

This season has been so peak, this might be my favorite episode!

Can we take a moment to talk about the blow dryer and mirror Rick has because of course he does- Diva. You know who else is a Diva? The mechanic girl. I'm so gay for her.

This episode is basically an "I found the bitch who keeps ruining my life" and then they're standing in front of a mirror meme. Not complaining.

It also feels like a bigger metaphor that I'm too dumb to understand. At least he can love his grandkids separately. My heart dropped when he said he wasn't Morty'd grandpa until that scene continued. I thought it was about to take the Prime direction.

Also Morty keeps resembling evil morty with mannerisms and expressions more by the episode, but more than becoming evil I think it just signifies him growing to be more independent and getting more tired.

P.S. He totally sucked his own dick

I actually loved that so much, specially Morty being so done with everything. He has grown a lot, and the little hair ruffle from Rick at the end AHHHHH!

I wish I had something to say about Jerry's side plot, but aside from Rick being scared at the man being competent I've got nothing.

Season 9 Episode 4

Honestly? If the series isn't canceled and allowed to end naturally, I don't think Rick and Morty will have a happy ending. Either that or we get some miraculous character development from Rick. I guess it might have been obvious to some from the start, given the type of series it is, but today's episode really settled that in for me.
