Itās been over two years since Video Games. Two years since the whole world suddenly had something to say about you- and what a crazy ride itās been. In those months there have been such beautiful moments, but too many bad words have also been said. People that were determined to misunderstand you, to expose you in ways no human being should ever be treated. Iāve seen you fighting your insecurities. There have been moments I was scared you would literally die on stage- trembling fingers, the way you bit your lower lip while everyone was watching. But Iāve mainly seen you grow into the beautiful and strong woman you are now. Iāve seen your fanbase exploding and seen most of those mean people change their minds on you. Finally giving you the recognition you deserve. And even though thereās only so little in your life thatās still the way things were two years ago, you never seem to have changed. Even when all of the negativity clearly did affect you, youāre still the girl with the big dreams and the golden heart that you have always been. I think your biggest power is in the way you have always stayed true to yourself.
Since the very first time Iāve heard your name, everything about you has fascinated me. From the point I thought you were the most beautiful girl I ever laid eyes on, to the moments you made me want to die, to the moments I felt like the luckiest, happiest and most blessed girl on Earth. I have met such wonderful people- both the ones you surrounded yourself with long before I did, and the ones that have been supporting you from a distance. Iāve had life-changing conversations that I will always take with me, even long after the world will have forgotten about you. It changed my visions on fame, on media, but also on life in general, on āluckā and how itās possible to create a life exactly the way you want it to be.
I got to see how thereās two sides to every story, how dangerous it is to blindly assume. I learned to question everything and even then, thereās often no such thing as āthe truth.ā I think there will always be misunderstandings about you- but then again, thereās so much power in your cryptic way of living.
The more Iāve listened to your music, your voice, but mainly your words, the more I came to realize how you have always been able to give me another world to live in. You have such a beautiful way with words- a vivid way of writing that in fact is like painting- that captures the images in your head so perfectly that your songs are like movies. And even though I have always loved both reading and writing, itās like only you have opened my eyes to the true magic of words. Your dreams and memories translated into somthing that gives so many people a way out of their struggles. That inspires to be awesome, to dream bigger. An imaginary world that gives people hope and comfort.
Itās the only place that ever felt like home to me.
You created the life you wanted for yourself- you had a clear vision and knew how to live in it. I hope you will never stop believing in yourself, in who you are and in who you could possibly be.
Someone you used to be close to once told me how you often said you felt like you didnāt belong here- in this plane of existence.
"I seriously thought sometimes that she was an angel that made a wrong turn, and I mean that in the best possible way."
I have often thought about those words. About the words of every person that has ever been blessed to meet you. You are such a bright person, no matter how dark your mind might seem to be sometimes. You are one of those very few real life angels that can make others feel happy with nothing but her presence. I wonāt say youāre not able to hurt, but I believe in your good intentions, that even your lies are genuine, that thereās nothing you want more than for every person you love to be happy.
The way youāre able to touch lives is absolutely mesmerizing and thereās a lot of people (me included) that could learn from you.
It almost seems impossible not to love you.
Whenever I got to see you, to spend time with you in whatever way, you made me feel so happy, loved and appreciated. You have this way of making everyone feel like they matter and there is no greater gift.
I wish that everyone that loves and supports you could get to experience that. I know you are grateful for every single person that has your back- or even just appreciates your art.
Seeing your face has always brightened up my darkest days. All of the memories I have of the past months- the beautiful moments with both you, but also with my new friends and soul mates. Everything youāre surrounded by seems to be a terrific roller coaster, but the highs have been worth every low Iāve experienced as a fan. Iām so happy to be alive in the same time as you are (even though you often said you feel like you were born in the wrong era). And Iām so grateful to have the blessing of your music and angelic soul.
Whatever road you will decide to go from here, you have made such an impact on the life of so many people already. I know you will dedicate your whole life to helping others in any way possible and all I hope is that you will take good care of yourself, that you are surrounded by people that give you the love you deserve and that you will never give up dreaming.
