Hey guys! I know ive been pretty hard-core at this since March with making headcannons and fic for mostly eddie and a few others but I think since things are slowing down and im dealing with a lot mentally and in my spiritual life I think its time I take a break from all of this.
As much as I loved it on here and reading all the story's and such I think I need to take a step back. In my own personal life im about to take on a pretty big leadership role as well and need to focus on that too.
But just to let you know that Vega loves you all very much and please never stop being creative! Depends on how things i may or may not be back. Ive been a ghost anyways on here with random fics and hcs but it will all depend with time.
Alright I thought I would have more time today to make more Eddie HCs since it a holiday weekend but unfortunately I couldn't. But here we are!
Now that we have celebrated the beautiful 4th i thought we should talk about how Eddie would be on the 4th of July! So here is some headcannons for our beloved and how he would totally be (well at least what I think)
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to.... most definitely blow all of his money on fireworks at the stand with his uncle and Dustin. Then suprised you when he gets home with bags and bags full to the brim with fireworks to take to Lovers Lake. BTW you aren't amused since he STILL has to buy gas for his van.
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to.... still act like an absolute menace when he starts lighting fireworks, well the small ones of course. Its him, Lucas, Dustin and Mike that that are lighting firecrackers and trying to throw them at one another or the little pops. This man is an absolute menace when it comes to it but he makes sure to still be respectful and a little responsible around the women so none of them gets hurt or too pissed, especially with you.
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to.... keep a watchful eye on you the whole evening too. If you aren't a huge fan of the fireworks, scared of the noise and so on he'll most definitely come find you when it gets time. He'll let Jonathan, Lucas, Dustin and Steve go light the big ones while he sits back with you and holds you extra close when the first one fires off and even going as far to hold his hands over your ears to block out some noise.
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to.... help clean up the the party as much as he could or what you and Steve would let him around the campsite. He makes sure that all food, games and used fireworks are thrown away properly and everyone is alright.
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to.... to let you paint his face and maybe his arms with red, white, and blue paint for the 4th. He would definitely help you with yours on your face and legs. Plus it gives him the greatest excuse to touch you anyways.
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to.... possibly slip Robin a note asking if she could take pictures of the two of you throughout the evening together to he could eventually put them into a picture book that he is trying to get together for something bigger between the two of you.
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to.... that once the evening is over and he definitely wasn't in the mood to sleep in a tent or in the back of his van, you two would come back to his trailer and stay there having the rest of the night for yourselves, but after Eddie checks on all of the trailer park cats that hang around. He gets nervous when he doesn't see them around because they are definitely skittish and would run at the loud sounds. But he eases when he finds them hiding in the wood line of the trailer park.
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to.... teach both El and Max how to safely light and throw a firecracker up into the air. He shows them a few times, showing them the timing then letting them do it for themselves with some help here and there.
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to.... to try to do some redneck watercraft so the boys could shoot fireworks off of it in the middle of Lovers Lake, but immediately stop when you tell him no. Because there is no way you are letting him swim out to the middle of that lake with a redneck small raft that will definitely sink without a firework being set on it.
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to.... not be a huge holiday person but also be at the same time. He likes the 4th of July a little bit more since his mom always enjoyed it when he was little, plus his uncle always took him out to see fireworks every year at the fair. He had his own secret love for it but now he gets to spend it with you and that just makes everything better for him.
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to.... steal kisses from you every time he comes to check up on you. Just got done swimming? He finding you and asking you if you're fine as well as stealing a kiss. Cooking something. We'll he just finished throwing a firecracker at Lucas then he's coming back to you. The big fireworks are happening? He's holding you from behind and stealing a few extra ones from you to distract you from everything just for a few moments.
Okay I think im done guys for tonight. Anyways, with much love ❤️-vega
Alright so i have been slacking really bad and now that I have finally gotten the Johnny Storm fic off my chest maybe I can focus back on Eddie.
But i just wanna throw this out there that I have rewatched Gladiator ii like 4 or 5 times now and joe just keeps getting more and more gorgeous every single time. So I would advise that anyone who loves joe and his acting please watch Gladiator ii! Anyways BACK to giving more Eddie HCs because I like to talk about my man. Also we are welcoming Modern Eddie to the chat now.
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to.... chain smoke when he's worried about his girlfriend like nobody's business. Per se, like if his precious girlfriend was having something medical going on like a minor/major surgery or if she just isnt doing well, he'll worry so much. He hates seeing you sick or in pain but he isn't exactly the greatest help when he's already went through nearly 3 packs of Camels in a week. He's a worrisome person alright?
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to.... notice if you like to collect things or if you are a crafty person, he'll find cool looking magazines, fake plants, fabrics and so on to bring to you to see what all you could make out of it. He's fascinated by it because he knows that there is no way he would stick to one thing for such a long amount of time.
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to.... to totally brag to the guys about who he used to be. Like bragging about getting arrested by Hopper those few times, selling to higher ups, playing to rough crowds and so on. But now that he's started dating you? Him and everyone realizes that he's gone soft. But in a good way. Like you've calmed him down and brought him back to earth.
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to.... only take a vacation to a hot place once then never go again. This man thrives in the cold and actually hates places that get above 90. Now dont get me wrong, he likes changes in scenery, cool new views and meeting new people and food. Plus this guy absolutely loves swimming. But he HATES sunburn with a passion because he cant tan at all and he is usually one of the first people to get sunburnt on a trip. He'll only go if you do and to see you in that gorgeous swimsuit of your choice.
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to.... be absolutely whipped when he gets married to you. Now he loves his own independence and doing Eddie things, but he just loves so much that you're his wife. He cant say a full sentence without mentioning "my wife said..." or something along the lines of that. He would do almost anything for you whether its crazy or not. Need water in the middle of the night? He's already up. Want ice-cream from across Hawkins? He's grabbing his keys. Need to go inside of a Victoria's Secret for some new stuff? He's right in behind you keeping a respectful eye on you and you only.
Modern!Eddie Munson is the type of guy to.... text you the most stupid and God awful memes all night long. You two could be sharing a bed together and he could be having one of his fits where he cant sleep yet so he'll doomscroll and giggle at Instagram reels for hours on end and send you almost every one of them so you can see them when you wake up. And yeah he giggles like a maniac.
Modern!Eddie Munson is the type of guy to.... post you on his story almost 24/7 to the most sweetest songs. He doesn't normally post much between stuff dealing with CC and its tours and small things of himself. But when you two started dating he couldn't help it. He see's a great opportunity for a picture of just you? He's taking it and picking the most sweetest song just for you to post on his story. Letting his friends see how lucky he is to have someone like you.
Modern!Eddie Munson is the type of guy to.... be snuggled up to you 24/7 too and talk with you on the phone. Lemme explain. So you could be on the phone with about anyone while he's with you and he'll just join the conversation just because he can. You'll be on the phone with your mom and she'll just say "Hi Eddie" because she knows he's there listening. Or you and your best friend could be talking about some drama at school and Eddie will join in like he's one of the girls.
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to.... kiss you anywhere and anyhow. Really, no matter what the situation is he is always willing to offer a kiss of some sort. Need to forget about something? He'll kiss you stupid. Need some comfort from him? He'll give the most sweetest and most sincere kisses you've ever felt. Need to let off some frustration? He is absolutely more that willing to let you just use him for the time being. Even if his and your lips are bruised in the end he's enjoying it either way.
UHHHGGGG LEMME WRITE THIS DOWN.
anyhow I probably will disappear again for a little bit. Much love ❤️
Vega speaks- ALRIGHT. So I have been beating around the bush on this whole Johnny Storm x AltReader! Thing for like so long now. But now im actually going to lock the fart in and actually do something about it so I can get it out of my brain. So really, I need you guys to lmk if I need to make a part 2 or more to this bc this may or may NOT be that great. Also im like an actual ghost on this app so IM SORRY that i haven't posted anything.
Warnings- probably misspelling, a smidge of ptsd, some men (not any in this fic) mentions of killing, shame and probably more i missed. Oh also this is a fire song.
Summary- in present time at the New Avengers tower, something takes a turn when there's a suprise visit and a new team coming to the tower to ask for help. Dear Johnny, God bless his soul, has never met anyone like you before. He's intrigued obviously. But that gets him into trouble.
The New Avengers had been started for a year and two months now. It was so hectic and exciting all at the same time. Yelena had been too busy with missions and being the leader of it all to really keep up with her phone or social life much. Just her normal day to day thing for the most part.
Yelena was trying to live her best life as a new leader and not being known as a Widow or more or less of a child assassin she used to be all those years ago. So here she is trying to figure out life along side of Bucky, Alexei, Bob, John and Ava.
Well all of that was until a new ship had come into the atmosphere with an overly big and obnoxious 4 on the side. Strange. But when it crashed on earth, somewhere near the pacific, the whole team went and checked it out anyways to see what was happening and to make sure whatever was on it was no potential threat to the world and didn't bring anything evil with them. But lucky for them? It didn't. Just a Reed Richard, Johnny Storm, Sue Storm, Ben Grimm and a Franklin Richards whom where all seeking help.
The group all soon got settled into the tower, now trying to think of a plan for defeating Victor Von Doom, keeping him from taking what he didn't need and so he couldn't reek anymore havoc.
Johnny was ecstatic about being in a new universe, new people, lots of new women and definitely lots of new people to bug and annoy.
They had been there a total of two weeks when they found themselves in a meeting which had been the fourth one in the span of three days just trying to talk about and figure out what to do.
It was strange of course for all of the Fantastic Four. They where in New York of course, just in a different time and universe.
So of course the New Avneger had to fill them in on everything they has missed, will be seeing and so on.
While talking Yelena's phone had lit up, someone was calling her. She hit ignore without even thinking then continued listening to Reed who was repeating himself for the 3rd time in a row.
It was very shortly after that alerts started showing up on the screen and warnings about security being breached in the building and that there was an individual heading up toward their floor.
Everyone panicked of course, watching the door like a hawk and waiting for something or someone to show up.
Its not that they thought it would be Doom so soon, but who knew in this day in time?
But by the time you had walked in through the door everyone's expression turned into confusion. No one, but one, knew who you where. You stood there baggy jeans, dark shirt and dark makeup, looking like you just stepped out of a Hot Topic or Ozzfest just moments ago.
Yelena locked eyes with you and internally groaned. That was the call she had been missing. She had been ignoring you.
"Alright, everyone take five." Yelena said, leaning up off the meeting room table and walking towards you.
You both had some quite similar features, really the Widows look, but still your own person.
She grabbed your arm and drug you out to the hallway.
Everyone sort of dismissed it....all except for Johnny Storm. He was leaning out of his chair trying to watch where the two of you went.
He was just a curious person okay? He already tried hitting on Yelena but that didn't go very well at all.
Yelena took you down to the end of the hallway and finally let you go. It had beem years since she had seen your face.
While in the Red Room she had become and older sister to you. You where one of the much younger ones, not yet graduated or old enough to have what was beloved to you stripped from you, by the time the Red Room had crashed and failed. But before Yelena has escaped she had taken care of you, treated you as her own and taught you all that you needed to know.
Now, you where much older, taller, grown into yourself and definitely pissed off at her as much as she was you.
Yelena let go of your arm and turned to you.
"So, we are just breaking in now?" She scoffed, keeping her tone low.
"And you're just ignoring my calls now? Don't start with that because you do it more often than me."
Yelena shot you a sharp glare, you where quick witted, just as bad as her.
"Why are you here? It isn't safe."
"You where ignoring my calls. In fact, you have been ignoring my calls since i first heard you where still alive. Then I found out you're off playing heros with your new boy band now?"
"Its not like that okay? Its much-" Yelena paused and scoffed at the idea. It was definitely like that. "Its so much more difficult than that. I didn't want this!"
"Well you're sure looking like you're playing leader in there. Who even are those people. Better question, where's Natasha?"
Yelena froze, you watched, she took a breath then responded. You knew the answer then just the that look.
"Natasha is gone, okay? She died for a stupid rock a few years back, during the blip to bring everyone back. And all of those people? Basically anti-hero's trying to get back on their feet and step up to be the Avengers the world needs."
You just stood there listening to Yelena, Natasha was gone and now there was a whole new avengers team replacing them.
"And so now you are the leader that everyone depends on, yeah?"
"Where have you been?" Yelena finally asked, trying to break some tension.
"After the Red Room failed I ran. I broke into a lot of places, stole, hid and did everything in my power to keep away from them. Then I was able to find my biological family, my mom was still alive, dad died five years before and turns out I don't have anyone else. I stayed, took care of her and sometimes disappeared when things got to heavy for me. Then eventually she got real sick and passed to. I don't have anyone now." Yelena nodded and leaned against the wall beside you.
"So that's why you tried calling so much?"
"Yeah. Didn't know where else to turn."
You both sat in a long comfortable silence adter that for a few minutes, listening to Alexei trying to explain to Ben who he was before he got thrown in prison all those years ago.
It was odd. But it felt right to be close to her again.
"Stay." She said.
"I shouldn't. Its too busy here and im definitely too rusty to be a hero you want."
"That doesn't matter. You will stay here until you get back on your feet."She murmured firmly. Which left you with a dissatisfied huff because you knew she was right.
"You remember Alexei?"
"Your dad? Yeah I remember."
"He's on the team. He'll remember you when you see him. Well maybe. You might have too much eyeliner on."
"Right. Well, you need to get back to your meeting."
"Come on." Yelena brought you back to the meeting room with her.
All was well until you felt two pairs of eyes on you. One was Alexei, trying to figure out how he knew you and the other pair was Johnny, trying to figure you out.
It wasnt long before it really clicked for Alexei on who you were. He threw both hands up and yelled too loudly, "лисёнок!" Casuing your face to go immediately red from embarrassment since now all eyes where on you.
"Told you." Yelena murmured. Apparently old names never die with Alexei, even though they need to.
...................................
The first few days in the tower where odd to say the least. No one trusted you except Yelena and Alexei. You where more of a ghost than Ava herself.
You would pop in on neeting but disappear halfway through to not take up so much space or be invasive. Which you weren't invasive, you where just there.
Johnny caught on to that pretty quickly. He saw how you moved, carried yourself, spoke around men and hid in the shadows along the halls. He had never meet anyone like you before.
Johnny was used to women throwing themselves at him, making a huge fuss, skinny blondes that act like they never knew any better. But you? Oh thats a different story. You just flat out ignored him and carried yourself gracefully. He liked it even thougjt it was different, but he desperately needed to know why.
So during one of your disappearing acts he was able to sneak around the building and find most of the filing on who came in and out of the building and who they where. To say the least, he found his own file and was a bit offended when they messed up his hight, which really it didnt even matter that much anyhow. But eventually he did find your file.
Yelena had hidden it far in the back because she knew that you didn't want anyone finding it. But of course, the nosey, Johnny Storm, had found it and started flipping through it. It wasnt a big file, a little thick but like everyone else's. He first found your actual name, your story in the Red Room, the assassinations, training and everything. He was more than star struck. He knew you where dangerous before but now he actually knew the threat level, he loved it. That wasn't stopping him.
So thats when Johnny started making his attempts.
He waited a few days around the tower, watching you and making himself seem as innocent and harmless as he possibly could to you. He didn't need to scare you off.
The first attempt was brining you black and white cookies that Ben had made in his spare time, classic move bit simple enough.
He knocked on your door late at night, plate in hand and already in his pj's.
Once you opened the door you hadn't been asleep just yet but your hair was already messy and your eyes where heavy.
"Hey, I uh..I brought you some cookies."
"At 12:49 at night?"
"Yeah. I wasn't thinking that through but it would be a shame to let these go to waste."
He tried to first but for some reason you made it increasingly difficult considering how intimidating you had become.
Before he got another word in you took one small cookie then closed the door, calling it a night. He nodded and started walking back to the kitchen.
Attempt 1 was a success.
Then there was the sparing match, attempt 2.
He had watched you work out and spar with others. You fought hard and fast. Should be real easy for the Human Torch right? Absolutely not.
"Mind if I try?"
You had just finished with Yelena and was helping her off the floor when he asked. All Yelena could do was smirk and nod, knowing he was about to get laid out.
"Sure. Go wrap up and you can."
He nodded and did as you asked, wrapping his knuckles and fists in wrap before coming back to you. You almost looked bored, he hoped to change that.
The moment he threw the first punch you had dodged it, but it wasn't long before you had threw a few punches at him and landing it. He git you pinned once, you'll hand him that, but you finished with him laid out on his stomach and you standing.
"Good sparing, yeah?" You said before you walked off. At least you spoke to him this time before you left.
He was sore for days after that but he sucked it up and didn't tell anyone because Ben would find out and would never let him live it down. Johnny had finally met his match.
It wasn't long after that when he had started trying to talk to you more, offering to get you coffee or whatever, joining you on jogs or walks around the city. You didn't talk much at all first, and yeah the silence scared him but eventually he did get used to it, but was beyond grateful when you did start talking.
Yelena started setting you out on missions just by yourself after a few months. That's when Johnny was actually getting nervous, that meant more time of you being away and more distance.
What had gotten Johnny Storm the most was that he was actually getting feelings. Real feelings, not just the butterflies feeling you get on dates but actually long term stuff. Sue noticed when she saw Johnny's face when he had came back from walking you out to the jet. He looked like some kicked puppy.
He moped around the whole two weeks you where gone. He was more quiet, a lot more whiney and more on edge than anything.
Ben thought it was hilarious and Yelena found it suspicious.
If Yelena knew one thing she knew you. You didn't do relationships as a Widow because she knew you where too ashamed of your past to even try with a man. But maybe things could change, hopefully.
So she texted you about a few days before you came back.
Wednesday 3:45 P.M.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lena: Storm keeps moping around the tower and its your fault
read at 3:48
~: Im sure he hasn't.
Lena: oh yes he has. Its been almost two weeks now and he looks like a kicked puppy.
Lena: im starting to think he's in love or something
~ : he's probably just sick...
Lena: yeah sick in love you idiot. He's been almost useless for two weeks since you've been gone and even his sister has said that.
~ : So what does that mean?...
Seen by Lena
She must of had to take a lap before responding to you but eventually she does.
Lena: it means he's in love with you. So if I where you right now be prepared for when you come back.
Lena: I hope you know what you want лисёнок.
.…………………………………………………………………………
You had returned from your mission late Saturday evening around 11:30 p.m.
The building was quiet except for the living space. You couldn't make out who it was on the couch just yet but you had a feel on who it was.
Slowly and quietly, you walked to the couch and saw Johnny slumped over with his chin tucked into his chest and his arms wrapped around himself. He looked comfortable, sorta. But he was still complaining either way tomorrow about being sore.
You slipped the remote off of his thigh and turned off the TV, not too shockingly, that woke him up. He woke up with a small stretch and a groan falling from his lips.
"Hey, didn't mean to wake you there but you should be in your bed and not waiting up."
He looked up at you, giving a small cocky smile then leaning back. Just you two in a dark living room together.
"I had to know that you came back in one piece. Didn't need anything back happening and especially in a time like this."
"So you're keeping tabs on everyone? Or just me?"
"Both."
"Both?"
"Yeah. Maybe you shpuld try it as someone who doesn't put up with Johnny Storm's antics."
"Maybe i should. Now come on. You're gonna be complaining about being sore tomorrow if you keep sleeping here."
You grabbed his hands and pulled him to his feet, the distance between you two closing and nearly becoming chest to chest with him.
He looked down at you, a much softer look in his eyes than what he used with everyone else. You noticed and he knew you noticed. So when you walked him back to his room he kept his pinky locked with yours as you walked. Not exactly holding hands in your mind but close enough in his.
Once you two stopped he lifted up your hand and kissed your knuckles as well as the inside of your wrist. As much as you didn't want to say it or even acknowledge it, it did feel good to be seen or cared for.
"Im really glad you came back in one piece. You had me worried there for a minute."
"Im fine, Johnny. Just a few scratches and bruises here and there. You don't have to worry about me so much."
"I do. I like worry about you because it gives me something to do while you're away."
"And mope around too?"
"You heard about that? Okay yeah, I was a little dramatic while you where gone but for good reason."
"And what good reason was that?"
"You where gone? And I had started to build a routine with you and all the sudden you where gone for two whole weeks. So that meant no workouts, sparing, walks in the park or going and grabbing coffee at that one place you like downtown near that abandoned house you love so much."
Your breath caught at how much he remembered and how much he had payed attention. But that was barely stratching the surface for him.
"It just felt weird without you here. But now I can rest a bit easier now." A small nod pulled from you as he finished and pressed another kiss to your knuckles.
He eventually let go of your hand, bidding goodnight to you and you doing the same to him.
You had never felt that butterflies feeling in your stomach before but now you totally where. As a Widow you didn't believe in love or it even being meant for you. But your heart and body was betraying you in the best ways for Johnny. It didn't feel right.
…………………………………………………
Johnny started to get a little more bolder with his moves after that night. It didn't help that he was falling fot you since day one and that everyone in that building knew, especially Ben, Sue and Yelena because they had been on yours and Johnny's case since you started to give in.
Each meeting about the Fantastic Four's stay he would find an excuse to be closer to you.
Every threat that showed up on the radar he would throw himself to just so he didn't have to worry about you getting hurt. He could care less about himself in those situations, but he always knew he had to come back to you in one piece.
Each joke he started was meant to make you laugh a little harder, each coffee he would bring would be exactly to your liking and every smile you gave him he didn't dare take it for granted.
But for you? It was a slow process. Okay yeah you where still majorly skeptical about being treated so well by a man without them wanting something of yours in return.
You had killed men almost like Johnny. Thats what bothered you the most. But you knew he was different. You could feel it. But in the back of your mind, the twisted side of it showed your past. It was a scary idea to think that if he found out about everything then he would hate you, give up on you and move on. You didn't want that. No one wants that. But little to your knowledge Johnny already knew. He knew everything that the file had to offer. Every flaw, test, assassination, failure and so on. He knew you where different now too.
…………………………………
So when night time rolled around, the tower was quiet sort of once more, he found himself in your nearly bare room exceptfor some dark clothes laid around, a few band posters and an old record player in the corner. He couldn't sleep, same excuse every night, so he came and spent it with you.
He sat on the edge of your bed in his pj's, throwing a stupid rubber ball at the wall and waiting for it to bounce back. You sat behind him, leaned against the headboard and slumped down reading a book that Bob had gave you on something about mental health.
Every few minutes Johnny would glance back at you, taking in the sight of you in your night clothes and that sleepy look in your eyes while you read your book. All he wanted to do was crawl up to you and pull that book from you and just hold you until you fell asleep in his arms. Thats all he wanted.
"You're staring, Storm."
"No im not."
"Then why is your ball near my dresser?"
He huffed and glanced down at the dresser across the room. The ball was just in his hand...okay so maybe he was staring.
"It fell."
"Sure."
He didn't even bother going and getting it. He scooted up to a spot beside you and very careless tucked you into his side.
You didn't argue with him since you where half asleep anyways and kept reading the same sentence.
"You've been on the same page for the last ten minutes."
"Can't focus on anything else, especially when you keep beating my walls to death with a stupid ball."
"Fair enough." He slid his arm in behind you and held you a little bit closer to him.
He sat there in silence with you for a few minutes until he tabbed your book and took it away from you. He liked this a lot more than what he wanted to admit and so did you. It was just hard to admit it.
"Stay."
He stared at you for a long moment, your closed eyes and how your lashes fell over your cheeks.
"Didn't plan on leaving anyways."
you didn't miss the way how his lips connected with the top of your head, pressing soft kisses there then trailing them down to your forehead and cheek. He had thought you had already fallen asleep before he spoke again.
"I wish you would let me love you the way you need to be loved." He murmured in the most quiet and soft tone you ever heard from a man. But thank God that he thought you where still asleep.
I feel like this is actually buns so just lmk chat
Vega- so guys im sorry i have been a complete and total ghost on this app but I have been kinda busy with summer so far and I am currently on vacation! So I just wanted to throw together an idea for you guys and so how it goes!
So I me and Eddie ( i feel) definitely have a lot of favorite music in common and I though I should share what a good portion of it would look like and honestly what he might hate at the end. Also some modern music he would appreciate too.
We all know he's a huge metal fan so here is a few I think he would greatly appreciate (HE STILL LIVES)
Bark at the moon- Ozzy Osborne
The chase is better than the catch - Motorhead
Above All - Bastardane
Through the never - Metallica
Rebirthing - Skillet
Remember Tomorrow - Iron Maiden
Bleed The Freak - Alice in Chains
Dyers Eve - Metallica
Snowblind - Black Sabbath
Poison - Alice Cooper
Been A Long Time - Black Label Society
I'm Broken - Pantera
In The Name Of Tragedy - Motorhead
Okay so thats like a taste of what homeboy is into for the majority. But his guilty pleasures? Well thats another story.
Youll never catch the man listening to any pop or rap...unless he's by himself in the middle of nowhere to be caught. So this guy is totally into some Tyler, The Creator, Michael Jackson, Tame Impala, Rihanna and maybe a few others.
But artists you'll NEVER, I mean NEVER catch him listening to is probably gonna be like Sabrina Carpenter, Taylor Swift, any big name rapper with zero personality, hardly any country music and especially Morgan Wallen (sorry) and any artist that have probably disrespected his favorite bands. Like he takes serious offense.
But he's probably a super open guy to most music. But his face judges more than his mouth does.
Anyways I think thats all for now. Also i think im almost done with the Johnny Storm fic btw and I dont know if I like it. Oh well.
So as you all may be shocked i have a draft for a Johnny Storm fic waiting but right now im trying to spend a lot less time on Tumblr as well. But here I am about to make some more Eddie Munsons headcannons because I absolutely can.
Anyways, I hope you all enjoy as always and please make sure to like or leave remarks! Much love- Vega ❤️
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to have a thing for nails but not even know it. Let's just say if his girl decides to go get her nails done regularly or just for a random day because she feels like it he would be a bit confused but then ask the general questions. But the MOMENT you run your nails across his jaw, down his neck or chest, even worse his back, he completely understands now. He needs to feel those things on him even if you decide not to get them that long he still wants to feel them.
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to just bite. Okay this is a bit of feral Eddie but let's be so real I think he would totally bite just for no reason. You two could be laid up in bed together, his body crushing yours while you run your fingers through his big, unruly hair. He waits a few minutes for every inch he moves closer to your shoulder. Eventually when he gets there and he knows you're half asleep? He lays into your shoulder. Not that he breaks skin or bites harshly, but he knows how to apply pressure to his canines, even it if jolts you awake and smack the side of his head.
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to use his doe eyes to his own advantage. He knows his own eyes can get him out of trouble with you and sometimes uncle Wayne if he looks sorry enough. No, Eddie wont do something jurassic but if he where to piss you off one way and you dont forgive him just yet he's using his doe eye's and murmuring sweet apologies to you before kissing your pulse point on your neck. Who wouldn't fold for that?
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to be absolutely hilarious for no reason at all. This man is actually so uncanny without even meaning to. You two could be in the heat of the moment in the back of his van and he'll full on admit that not even five minutes before he met with you at his van he nearly face planted off the stage at the Hideout when he had saw you first. Or just his genuine quirks or quick jokes. Sometimes it just spills out and he doesn't stop it.
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to be one of the most sincere and caring person you have ever met. He knows when to tone it back with the jokes and sometimes nagging when he can tell something is off with his girl. He see's the bad days too and it hurts him a little to see you so fragile and vulnerable even when you try to put up walls. He knows when its time to cut the act and to stop talking and just hold you for a little while. He loves your rants, hates to see you cry but is glad to see that your not bottling it all up and is glad to know that he could be there for you.
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to make a spot just for you in his van. No, its not just the front passengers seat but his the pile of blankets and pillows he has stashed away in the back just for you in the back of his van. Like if Corroded Coffin finally takes off and he hits a big tour in his van? Its just you and him while the others ride sepetate. That pile of blankets and pillows is there for you too, especially if you have road trip anxiety (much like myself), need a nap or there is not a single hotel in sight for miles and both of you just wanna crash. He loves sharing and especially with you.
Eddie Munson is also the type of guy to introduce you to Corroded Coffin by the second date. Introducing you to all of his bandmates, who plays what, what kind of music they play, and so on. He couldn't help it. He needed you to see his world before you started to become more apart of it as well. (Especially since he had already kissed you stupid on the first date you two ever had.)
I'm so obsessed with this. **I proofread as best as i could...i got three hours of sleep last night, so my brain is straight mush
Eddie still remembers the day he first laid eyes on you. Summer, going into his third senior year at Hawkins, you walked into Larry’s Auto Body Repair looking like something pulled from the pages of a half-burnt gothic novel left to rot in an attic trunk.
The heat outside had been miserable; thick, wet Indiana air that made grease cling to skin and tempers run short, but you arrived untouched by it all. Draped in black despite the July sun, lace sleeves swallowing your wrists, silver rings glinting like tiny knives beneath the fluorescent lights.
Your perfume smelled faintly of clove cigarettes, old paper, and rain. Long dark hair spilled down your back in soft waves, and your eyes, God, your eyes, looked mournful in the way stained glass saints did. Beautiful enough to make a man confess every awful thing he’s ever done, truth or not.
Eddie had nearly dropped an engine part directly on his foot.
You’d stepped into the garage like you belonged in another century entirely, gaze drifting slowly across the room with detached fascination, lingering on rusted tools and oil stains as if they were artifacts in a museum.
Then you smiled at him. Not sweet, not shy, but devastating. Like you already knew every terrible thing about him and adored him for it anyway. From that moment on, Eddie Munson was ruined.
Years later, the people of Hawkins still spoke about the two of you in hushed, bewildered voices. The Munsons of the Creel House. The strange family on the hill with wrought iron gates, tangled in dead vines and black roses that somehow bloomed year-round.
Children swore candlelight moved through the windows at impossible hours. Neighbors whispered about organ music drifting through storms and the silhouettes dancing behind curtains long after midnight.
The truth was far less sinister, mostly. You simply loved beautiful things that others were too frightened to appreciate. And Eddie loved you enough to follow you anywhere, even the old Creel House.
At first, he’d refused to even step onto the property. Too many memories. Too much blood soaked into those walls. Vecna. Chrissy. The Upside Down. Every rotten thing Hawkins tried desperately to bury lived in the bones of that house.
But then you’d walked through the front doors for the first time, black dress trailing over dusty hardwood, staring up at the massive chandelier with wonder glowing across your face like moonlight.
“Eddie,” you’d whispered softly, almost reverently. “It’s perfect.”
And that had been it. Because you looked at the house the same way you looked at him, not with fear, but affection. Like ruined things deserved devotion too. So he rebuilt it for you.
Every creaking staircase. Every shattered window. Every rotted inch of wallpaper. Together, you turned the graveyard of Victor Creel’s legacy into something warm, strange, and terribly romantic. A home, your home.
Corvina, your eldest daughter, drifted through the manor like a tiny phantom in velvet dresses, all solemn eyes and unnerving intelligence. She collected moth wings in glass jars and read Poe beneath thunderstorms while Eddie watched with equal parts pride and concern.
Meanwhile, Edward Jr, though everyone called him Teddy, was chaos incarnate. Wild curls, scraped knees, and his father’s crooked grin. The poor kid had inherited Eddie’s dramatic flair and your complete lack of fear, which meant most afternoons ended with him attempting something mildly catastrophic somewhere on the property.
Eddie had been hesitant about naming him after himself. Truthfully, he was terrified.
He remembered sitting beside you in bed while rain battered the windows, your newborn son asleep against your chest. Candlelight flickered gold across your skin as Eddie stared at the tiny little thing wearing his name.
“What if he ends up like me?” he’d asked quietly. You’d looked at him then with that same devastating softness you’d always reserved for his ugliest thoughts.
“My darling,” you murmured, brushing your fingers through his curls, “I should certainly hope so.”
And just like that, the fear dissolved. Because in your eyes, Eddie Munson had never been something to outgrow or overcome. He had always been something to cherish.
The Creel House came alive slowly in the mornings. Rain tapped softly against the tall windows that morning, the sky outside painted silver and gloomy in the way you adored most.
Eddie stood at the stove in silk pajama pants and a black robe hanging open over his tattooed chest, swaying dramatically to the music while making pancakes shaped vaguely like bats.
“Darling,” you called from your place at the kitchen table, long black sleeves draped elegantly around your coffee cup, “I do believe those are becoming progressively less edible.”
Eddie pressed a hand to his heart in mock offense. “Cruel. Wounded before breakfast.”
“You married me for my cruelty.”
“I married you because you looked at me like a Victorian widow cursed by the sea.”
You smiled over the rim of your mug. “And you looked like trouble wrapped in leather.”
“Mm,” Eddie hummed proudly. “Still do.”
Before you could respond, Eddie appeared beside your chair suddenly, dramatically dropping to one knee like a man overcome with passion. He took your hand delicately, pressing a kiss to your knuckles. Then another to your wrist. Then another just beneath your sleeve.
You laughed softly, tilting your head as his curls brushed your skin. “Edward Munson,” you murmured. “The children are awake.”
“Good,” he replied against your hand. “They should witness devotion.”
Right on cue, Corvina entered the kitchen carrying three books against her chest, long dark braid hanging over one shoulder. She glanced once at the scene before deadpanning:
“You’re disgusting.”
“Thank you, my dove,” you said warmly.
Corvina moved to pour herself coffee like she hadn’t witnessed anything unusual at all. Then came the sound of slower footsteps, Teddy.
Edward Jr. appeared in the doorway wearing his Hawkins High hoodie, backpack hanging off one shoulder, curls sticking up wildly like he’d been running nervous hands through them for an hour.
And immediately, both you and Eddie noticed the expression on his face, and Eddie straightened a little. “Whoa. What’s with the funeral look, Theodore?”
Teddy hesitated, then slowly held up a folded yellow slip of paper. Your brows lifted slightly while Corvina sipped her coffee with the detached calm of someone witnessing an execution.
“It’s a summons,” Teddy muttered.
Eddie blinked once, then dramatically pointed the spatula toward him. “What’d you do?”
“I didn’t do anything!”
“That’s exactly what I used to say,” Eddie nodded solemnly. “And I was usually innocent at least forty percent of the time.”
You extended your hand calmly. “May I see it, darling?”
Teddy crossed the kitchen and handed it over anxiously while Eddie abandoned the pancakes entirely to loom over your shoulder. His chin immediately dropped onto the top of your head while his arms wrapped around your shoulders from behind instinctively.
You unfolded the slip carefully:
REQUESTED PARENT CONFERENCE.
PRINCIPAL HIGGINS.
REGARDING: EDWARD MUNSON JR.
Eddie groaned immediately. “Jesus Christ. They started early this year.”
Teddy looked miserable. “Dad, I swear, I didn’t even do anything. It was those idiots from the basketball team—they kept messing with my stuff in gym, and one of them shoved me into a locker, and when I shoved him back, he started bleeding and—”
“Bleeding?” Corvina asked mildly.
“He ran into the trophy case!”
“Ah,” she nodded. “Natural selection.”
“Teddy,” you said softly, reaching for his hand. “Look at me.”
He did immediately.
And despite being nearly Eddie’s height now, despite the deepening voice and teenage awkwardness settling into his limbs, he still looked at you the same way he had as a child: like you could fix anything simply by speaking.
“You are not in trouble with us,” you assured gently.
Eddie nodded instantly. “Absolutely not.”
“But—”
“Nope.” Eddie waved him off. “Listen, kid, Hawkins High has been blaming Munsons for shit since before you were born. It’s practically a school tradition.”
Teddy huffed out a nervous laugh. You rose from your chair then, smoothing your hands over Eddie’s wrists where they rested around your waist. “We’ll attend the meeting.”
“Together,” Eddie added.
“And if your principal insists on being unreasonable,” you continued calmly, “your father does so enjoy making authority figures uncomfortable.”
Eddie grinned wickedly. “Baby, remember the vice principal in ‘89?”
You smiled faintly. “He looked moments from cardiac arrest.”
Teddy finally laughed properly at that, the tension melting from his shoulders almost instantly.
Without another word, Eddie reached over and grabbed one of the bat-shaped pancakes, shoving it onto Teddy’s plate. “Eat up, kid,” he said. “Nothing scarier than school administration on an empty stomach.”
Corvina glanced toward the stove. “Those are burnt.”
“They’re wonderful,” Eddie corrected.
You reached for his hand again, kissing his knuckles this time. “My talented husband,” you said softly.
Eddie practically preened under the affection, leaning down immediately to kiss you dramatically enough to make Corvina groan.
“Oh, my God.”
“Teddy,” Eddie said seriously against your mouth, “never settle for a love that doesn’t make your children physically ill.”
“Noted,” Teddy muttered through a mouthful of pancake.
By noon, rain had turned into a heavy mist that clung to Hawkins like a veil, which was the exact kind of weather you loved. The kind of weather Eddie insisted was “romantic as hell.”
The two of you walked through the halls of Hawkins High side by side like something entirely out of place amongst the fluorescent lighting and beige walls. Students slowed as you passed, conversations dipping into whispers almost immediately.
You floated through the hallway in a long black coat that brushed your calves, silver jewelry gleaming beneath the dim lights, while Eddie walked beside you in dark rings and leather, one hand firmly wrapped around yours, as if he physically couldn’t stand not touching you for more than a few seconds.
Which, truthfully, he couldn’t.
“Sweetheart,” Eddie murmured low enough only you could hear as you approached the office, “if Higgins pisses me off, are we thinking subtle psychological warfare or full public humiliation?”
You glanced at him calmly. “Let us see how brave he feels first.”
“God, I love when you threaten people poetically.”
The secretary barely looked up when you entered the office, though her expression tightened almost immediately at the sight of Eddie, still, after all these years. Eddie noticed too, squeezing your hand once before leaning casually against the counter.
“We’re here about Teddy,” he said.
The woman cleared her throat awkwardly. “Principal Higgins is expecting you.”
“Lucky him,” Eddie muttered.
You placed a gentle hand against his chest before he could continue, smoothing imaginary wrinkles from his jacket. “Behave, mon amour.”
Eddie looked down at you like you’d hung the moon itself in the sky. “For you?” he said softly. “Always.”
The secretary looked deeply uncomfortable. Good.
Principal Higgins’ office looked exactly the same as it had when Eddie sat in it at seventeen; stale coffee smell, ugly filing cabinets, school banners hanging crookedly on the walls.
Only now, Higgins himself had more gray hair and less patience. He didn’t stand when you entered. Instead, he leaned back slowly in his chair, eyes moving between you both with poorly concealed irritation.
“Mr. and Mrs. Munson.”
Eddie sat down across from him casually, slinging an arm immediately across the back of your chair. “Higgins,” he replied. “Still alive, huh?”
You rested one elegant hand atop Eddie’s knee beneath the desk, feeling him relax instantly under your touch.
Higgins ignored the comment. “Teddy was involved in an altercation yesterday afternoon.”
“Involved,” Eddie repeated. “Interesting wording.”
“He assaulted another student.”
“He defended himself,” you corrected smoothly.
Higgins finally looked directly at you then, expression tightening slightly. “And how exactly would you know that, Mrs. Munson?”
“Because, unlike this institution,” you replied calmly, “our son tells us the truth.”
Higgins folded his hands atop the desk. “Mrs. Munson, with all due respect, Edward Jr. has inherited certain… behavioral tendencies.”
There it was. Eddie’s jaw tightened instantly beneath the lazy posture he wore like armor. But you? You simply tilted your head slightly.
“What an unfortunate thing to say aloud,” you murmured.
Higgins shifted faintly. Eddie watched you carefully now, eyes practically sparkling because he knew that tone and knew it well. It was the same tone you used moments before verbally disemboweling someone.
“The Munson family,” Higgins continued carefully, “has had a difficult history with this school. Your husband, especially.”
Eddie gave a dry laugh. “Yeah, because this town treated me like I was carrying the plague.”
“You developed quite the reputation.”
“And your athletes didn’t?” Eddie shot back. “Interesting.”
“Eddie,” you said softly, not looking away from Higgins. You folded your hands neatly in your lap, expression serene enough to be unsettling.
“Our son,” you said carefully, “was cornered by three boys larger than him.”
Higgins opened his mouth, but you continued before he could speak.
“One shoved him into a locker repeatedly. Another destroyed his sketchbook. And when Theodore defended himself after being physically provoked, suddenly, he became the problem.”
Silence, and Higgins shifted again. You leaned forward slightly then, dark eyes steady on his.
“And now you sit before two former students who know exactly how Hawkins High operates and imply there is some sort of inherited defect in our child because his last name is Munson.”
Eddie looked dangerously proud beside you.
Higgins cleared his throat. “That isn’t what I meant.”
“No?” you asked gently. “Then perhaps choose your words more carefully.”
The office went quiet except for the rain tapping softly against the windows. Eddie finally leaned forward himself, rings clinking against the desk.
“Look,” he said flatly, “I know exactly what this place thinks about me. Fine. Whatever. But you do not get to stick that shit onto my son because some meathead couldn’t keep his hands to himself.”
Higgins sighed heavily. “No one is suspending Teddy.”
“Very generous,” Corvina’s voice drawled suddenly from the doorway.
All three of you turned. Corvina stood there holding a hall pass and looking deeply unimpressed.
“She followed us?” Higgins asked incredulously.
“She’s observant,” you replied.
“And nosy,” Eddie added proudly.
Corvina stepped inside without invitation. “Also, for the record, Tyler Bennett admitted in chemistry that he started it because Teddy wouldn’t let them make fun of that freshman girl.”
Eddie blinked. Then slowly turned toward his son’s principal with the most insufferably smug expression imaginable. “Huh,” he said. “Would you look at that?”
You reached over then, brushing your fingers lovingly along Eddie’s jaw.
“My darling,” you sighed softly. “It appears our son inherited your unfortunate tendency toward heroics.”
Eddie practically melted into your hand. “Baby,” he whispered dramatically, grabbing your wrist to kiss your palm, “you say the sexiest things to me.”
Corvina stood near the doorway with her arms crossed, entirely too pleased with herself. Eddie lounged back in his chair again, one boot hooked over his knee while he admired you with open, ridiculous affection.
Meanwhile, you remained perfectly composed, which somehow made you infinitely more terrifying.
“Well,” Higgins said stiffly after a long silence, “I believe this matter can be considered resolved.”
“How fortunate,” you replied smoothly.
Eddie snorted under his breath, and Higgins ignored him. “I’ll speak with the boys involved.”
“You should,” you said. “Especially if the school wishes to maintain the illusion of fairness.”
The principal’s jaw tightened faintly. Then, as though remembering something unpleasant, his eyes flicked briefly toward a framed flyer hanging beside his desk.
Hawkins High Arts Expansion Fund: Sponsored by the Munson Mortuary.
Eddie noticed immediately, as did you. A slow smile touched your lips. “You know,” you mused softly, rising from your chair, “Edward and I have always cared deeply about the arts.”
Eddie stood the second you did, naturally gravitating toward your side like a shadow stitched to your heels.
“The theater department,” you continued thoughtfully, smoothing the sleeve of your coat, “the music programs, student scholarships…”
Higgins straightened slightly.
“Hell,” Eddie added casually, “the new ceramics kiln was us.”
You turned your attention back to Higgins, expression warm enough to unsettle.
“It would simply devastate us,” you said gently, “if the environment here became hostile enough that we no longer felt comfortable continuing such generosity.”
Higgins cleared his throat quickly. “I’m sure that won’t be necessary.”
“No,” you agreed pleasantly. “I imagine it won’t.”
Eddie grinned beside you like the devil himself. God, he loved you. Loved the way you could flay someone alive without ever raising your voice. Loved the way people underestimated your softness right until the moment they realized it had teeth.
You reached for his hand, and he took it instantly.
“Well,” Eddie sighed dramatically, “this has been deeply irritating.”
As the four of you started toward the office door, Higgins spoke again. “Mrs. Munson.”
You paused, turning slightly. “I assure you,” he said carefully, “Theodore will be treated fairly.”
You held his gaze for a long moment, then smiled faintly. “I should hope so.”
And with that, you left. The halls quieted again as your family walked through them together.
Eddie’s hand remained clasped tightly with yours while Corvina drifted ahead in a sea of black fabric, entirely unbothered by the stares surrounding her.
The second the front doors shut behind you, Eddie turned toward you with outright admiration burning in his expression.
“Jesus Christ,” he breathed. “Marry me again.”
You looked at him calmly. “I would a thousand times.”
Candles flickered low throughout the house, golden light dancing against dark wallpaper while thunder rolled softly somewhere in the distance.
Dinner had long since ended, dishes abandoned in favor of the far more important activity of Eddie dramatically sprawled across the velvet chaise in the sitting room with his head in your lap.
“Darling,” he sighed as you lazily combed your fingers through his curls, “if I die right now, know that I died fulfilled.”
“You’re forty years old,” Corvina deadpanned from the armchair across the room. “Not a dying Victorian poet.”
Eddie pointed accusingly toward her without lifting his head. “Your mother encourages this cruelty.”
You smiled softly down at him. “I find it endearing.”
“That’s because you worship me.”
“Correct.”
Corvina physically recoiled. “Can you two act normal for ten minutes?”
“No,” both of you answered immediately.
Teddy snorted from the floor where he sat building something suspiciously dangerous out of spare radio parts. Then, the doorbell rang, and everyone paused. Corvina moved first, way too fast for her character.
You noticed immediately. Eddie noticed immediately. Teddy noticed immediately. The three of you slowly turned toward her as she stood abruptly from the chair, smoothing nonexistent wrinkles from her black skirt.
“…Interesting,” you murmured.
Corvina narrowed her eyes. “Don’t.”
Eddie sat up slowly now, a grin already forming. “Oh, my God.”
“It’s probably nothing.”
“Corvina Lucille Munson,” Teddy gasped dramatically. “Are you nervous?”
“I will kill you.”
The bell rang again. Corvina moved toward the front door with all the rigid dignity of someone approaching their execution.
You and Eddie exchanged a look. Then, silently, both rose from your seats to follow.
The front door creaked open, and standing beneath the porch light was perhaps the least expected person imaginable. A boy. Tall, clean-cut, nervous beyond belief. Bright blue varsity jacket. Hair neatly combed. Holding flowers.
The poor thing looked like he’d wandered into the wrong horror movie. Corvina stared at him; the boy stared at Corvina. Then his eyes slowly lifted, and landed directly on you and Eddie looming behind her like two beautifully dressed vampires awaiting explanation.
His face drained completely of color. Eddie blinked once, then immediately leaned toward you and whispered with genuine awe:
“He looks like he says ‘yes ma’am’ unironically.”
You nodded thoughtfully. “How refreshing.”
“Mom,” Corvina warned.
The boy swallowed hard. “H-hi, Mr. and Mrs. Munson.”
Eddie lit up instantly. “Oh, I like him.”
Corvina closed her eyes briefly like she regretted ever being born. You stepped forward gracefully, gaze drifting over the bouquet in his trembling hands.
“How lovely,” you said softly. “Funeral lilies.”
“They’re her favorite,” he blurted.
Then you looked at Corvina slowly, while Corvina looked horrified. Eddie looked seconds from losing his mind entirely.
“Teddy,” he whispered sharply. “Your sister has a boyfriend.”
“I KNEW IT.”
“He is not my boyfriend,” Corvina snapped immediately. “He’s an experiment.”
The boy blinked. “An… experiment?”
“You’re studying social dynamics?” you guessed politely.
“Yes,” Corvina said quickly.
Eddie crossed his arms. “By holding hands with the quarterback?”
“Second-string quarterback,” Teddy corrected.
Everyone looked at the boy while he awkwardly raised one hand. “We lost regionals.”
Eddie burst out laughing. “Oh my God, sweetheart,” he wheezed to you. “She brought home a jock.”
“He’s not a jock.”
The boy tried to help. “I’m also on the debate team.”
You gasped softly. “How multifaceted.”
Corvina looked moments from throwing herself from the staircase.
Eddie grinned wickedly at her. “Baby bat’s got a crush.”
“I do not.”
“He knows your favorite flowers,” Teddy sang obnoxiously.
“I hate this family.”
The boy, still somehow standing there despite the obvious psychological warfare occurring around him, looked toward Corvina carefully. And to everyone’s shock, his expression softened.
“She talks about you guys a lot, actually.”
Corvina froze.
Eddie immediately clutched his chest dramatically. “Oh, my.”
“Dad.”
“She told me,” the boy continued nervously, “that her parents are… intense, but very in love.”
You smiled faintly. Corvina looked like she wanted the floorboards to consume her.
“And,” he added carefully, “that her dad still leaves dead roses on her mom’s pillow every morning.”
Eddie looked at you instantly, utterly smitten. “Baby,” he whispered emotionally, “our love is inspiring the youth.”
You reached up, smoothing your hand against his jaw affectionately. “We are deeply romantic.”
“You’re deeply weird,” Teddy corrected.
“Thank you.”
Corvina groaned. “Can we please go before they start kissing again?”
Too late. Eddie had already grabbed your hand dramatically.
“You wound me, little raven,” he said, pressing a theatrical kiss against your knuckles. “Your mother’s beauty simply overwhelms me.”
The boy stared. Teddy stared. Corvina pinched the bridge of her nose. And you, you simply looked at your husband with soft, endless devotion while thunder echoed gently overhead.
“Oh, mon amour,” you sighed lovingly. “You are still the most handsome thing this house has ever held.”
Eddie nearly died on the spot.
The house felt different when the children were gone. Corvina had vanished off to some poetry reading with her painfully polite almost-boyfriend, while Teddy was staying overnight at a friend’s house after aggressively insisting he was “old enough to survive one night without parental supervision.”
Eddie had looked personally offended by the statement.
Now the evening rain had finally stopped, leaving the world outside soaked silver beneath the moonlight.
You stood in front of the bedroom mirror, fastening a pair of silver earrings, when Eddie appeared in the doorway, already staring at you like a man deeply unwell. His dark button-up hung half-open, curls still damp from the shower, rings glinting in the candlelight.
But his expression, my God. After all these years, he still looked at you like the first breath after drowning.
“Well,” he murmured, leaning against the doorframe, “there goes every coherent thought I’ve ever had.”
You smiled softly at his reflection. “You say that every time I wear black.”
“Because every time you wear black, I fall in love with you all over again.”
“You’re very dramatic.”
“You’re very beautiful. We all cope differently.” You laughed quietly as he crossed the room toward you.
The second he reached you, his hands found your waist instinctively, warm and familiar through the fabric of your dress. He buried his face briefly against your neck with a content sigh like “this—this right here—was the safest place in the universe.”
“Close your eyes,” he murmured.
You raised a brow. “Edward.”
“Please?”
Amused, you obeyed. You heard him moving around the room for a moment before something soft brushed across your palms.
Flowers.
When you opened your eyes again, Eddie stood before you holding a bouquet of black dahlias and dead roses tied together with velvet ribbon, just like your first date.
“Oh,” you whispered.
Eddie suddenly looked shy beneath all the tattoos and bravado. “I know they’re a little wilted, but Gareth’s florist cousin said—”
“They’re perfect.”
The relief on his face was immediate. You reached up carefully, fingertips brushing his cheek while he melted into your touch on instinct.
“Do you remember,” you asked softly, “what you said to me the night you gave me flowers for the first time?”
Eddie grinned a little. “Yeah.” He leaned closer. “‘Most girls want roses. You looked like you’d appreciate something half-dead.’”
“And I nearly married you on the spot.”
“You definitely wanted me carnally.”
You laughed again and kissed him gently. Eddie hummed happily against your mouth, already chasing after another kiss before you’d fully pulled away.
“Come on,” he whispered. “I’ve got a surprise.”
The graveyard sat at the edge of Hawkins beneath enormous twisted trees, moonlight filtering silver across old headstones and damp grass. Most people found it unsettling, but you found it beautiful, especially tonight.
Your breath caught softly as Eddie led you through the cemetery gates hand in hand.
Because there, beneath the crooked oak tree where he’d taken you all those years ago, sat an entire picnic laid out atop black blankets and velvet pillows. Candles flickered inside lanterns. An old radio played something metal, low enough to blend with the wind.
Your favorite wine rested beside a basket overflowing with chocolate-covered strawberries and homemade pastries, which Eddie had very obviously burnt slightly. And in the center, a vase of black dahlias. Eddie rubbed the back of his neck suddenly, almost bashful. “I know it’s kinda stupid—”
“It isn’t.”
Your voice was so soft that it stopped him immediately. He watched as you stepped slowly into the little space he’d created, moonlight catching the emotion shimmering across your face.
“You remembered everything,” you whispered.
“Course I did.”
Eddie moved closer then, taking your hands carefully. “This is where I fell in love with you,” he admitted quietly. “Figured it deserved revisiting.”
Your chest ached. Because despite all his theatrics, despite the flirting and dramatics and endless teasing, Eddie loved with terrifying sincerity, always had.
You touched his face gently. “You never told me you loved me that night.”
“No,” he said softly. “But I knew.”
The wind moved through the cemetery trees around you, carrying the scent of rain and earth and candle smoke. Then Eddie suddenly dropped dramatically onto the blanket.
“Now,” he announced, patting the spot beside him, “come seduce your husband under the moonlight.”
You smiled helplessly and settled beside him. Immediately, he pulled you into his lap like gravity itself demanded it. You curled against him easily, fingers playing with the rings on his hand while his chin rested atop your shoulder.
For a while, neither of you spoke. You simply existed there together beneath the stars, wrapped in candlelight and old music and decades worth of devotion.
Eventually, Eddie pressed a slow kiss against your neck. “You know,” he murmured, “I was so scared to bring you here on our first date.”
You turned slightly. “You were?”
“Terrified.” He laughed softly against your skin. “Wayne told me if I took a girl to a graveyard, she’d think I was either a serial killer or possessed.”
“And instead?”
“You told me it was the most romantic thing anyone had ever done for you.”
“It still is.”
Eddie looked at you then. And suddenly he was twenty again; grease stains on his hands, heart beating too fast, staring at the most hauntingly beautiful girl he’d ever seen while wondering how someone so lovely could possibly want him back.
Only now, he knew, because you’d spent decades proving it.
His hand slid carefully against your cheek. “My sweet girl,” he whispered.
You kissed him before he could say anything else. Slow and loving, the kind of kiss built from years and years of choosing each other over and over again. Somewhere in the distance, thunder rolled softly again.
Eddie smiled against your mouth. “Think the kids are behaving themselves?”
You smoothed your fingers through his curls lazily. “Not our concern tonight.”
“God,” he sighed happily, pulling you impossibly closer, “I adore you.”
“Eddie,” you whispered, tilting your head as his lips brushed the side of your neck. “You’ve outdone yourself, mon amour.”
He hummed against your skin, the sound vibrating through you. “Only the best for you.”
You laughed softly, and the sound made him tighten his hold, one hand sliding reverently down your side, tracing the black silk of your dress.
Eddie loved pleasing you more than anything, maybe even more than breathing. He lived for the way your breath would hitch when he touched you just right, for the way you looked at him like he was the only man in any world worth having.
His fingers found the hem of your dress and slipped beneath it, warm palm gliding up your thigh. “Let me worship you here,” he murmured, voice low and rough with devotion.
You turned in his lap, straddling him, your long dark hair falling around you both like a curtain. The cemetery was empty, the night yours alone. You cupped his face, thumbs brushing his cheeks, silver rings cool against his skin.
“Then worship me, Edward,” you said softly, the command wrapped in velvet.
Eddie’s eyes darkened with hunger and endless love. He kissed you deeply, almost reverently at first, then with growing heat as your tongues met. His hands roamed, pushing your dress up around your hips. He groaned when he realized you’d worn nothing beneath it.
“Fuuuck me,” he breathed against your mouth, a crooked, adoring grin breaking through.
“Oh my love, I plan to.”
He laughed, the sound rich and warm, then lowered you gently onto your back atop the velvet pillows. The cool night air kissed your skin as he peeled the dress from your body, kissing every inch he revealed. Your collarbones, the swell of your breasts, the soft plane of your stomach. When he reached the apex of your thighs, he looked up at you with pure reverence.
He settled between your legs, curls brushing your inner thighs as he pressed open-mouthed kisses along your skin. His tongue found your center with devastating patience; slow, worshipful strokes that had your fingers tightening in his hair.
He moaned into you like you were the finest thing he’d ever tasted, savoring every gasp and whisper of his name that left your lips.
“That’s it, sweetheart,” he murmured against your slick flesh, voice thick. “Let me hear how good I make you feel.”
Your back arched as pleasure coiled tight inside you, and Eddie watched it all unfold like a man witnessing divinity. When you came undone beneath his tongue, thighs trembling around his head, he held you through it, kissing you gently until the waves subsided.
Only then did he rise, shedding his shirt and pants with reverent haste. His cock was hard and aching for you, but he took his time, crawling over you, kissing you so deeply you tasted yourself on his tongue.
“I love you,” he whispered against your lips, lining himself up. “More than life. More than death. More than anything in this fucking universe.”
You wrapped your legs around his waist and pulled him inside you with one smooth thrust. Both of you moaned at the perfect fit; years together, and it still felt like coming home.
Eddie moved with slow, deep rolls of his hips, savoring every clench of your walls around him. His forehead pressed to yours, curls falling around your faces as he gazed into your eyes.
“Look at me while I fuck you, baby,” he breathed, devotion dripping from every word. “Want to see those saintly eyes when you come on my cock again.”
The cemetery felt alive around you; the wind whispering through the trees, the distant hoot of an owl, the scent of earth and night-blooming flowers mixing with sweat and sex. Eddie’s pace gradually quickened, one hand sliding between you to circle your clit while the other pinned your wrist gently above your head.
You came again with a soft, broken cry of his name, pulling him over the edge with you. He buried himself deep, spilling inside you with a guttural groan, hips stuttering as pleasure wrecked him. Even then, he kept moving; lazy, loving thrusts to draw it out, kissing you through every aftershock.
Afterward, he collapsed beside you and immediately pulled you into his arms, tucking your head beneath his chin. His fingers traced lazy patterns along your spine while your leg draped over his hip.
Eddie pressed a kiss to your hair, voice hoarse with satisfaction. “I’d desecrate every grave in Hawkins if it meant making you feel like that.”
You smiled against his chest, fingertips playing with the silver strands beginning to thread through his dark curls. “If we keep this up, Corvina and Teddy may have a sibling.”
“Would that be so bad? Another mini-Munson running around, raising hell?”
You rolled your eyes lovingly, planting a few peppered kisses along his chest and jaw. “Poor Principal Higgins wouldn’t know what to do with himself with a third Munson.”
Dinner in the Creel-Munson House was rarely quiet. Not because anyone particularly tried to be loud, it was simply impossible for four Munsons to exist in the same room without the atmosphere becoming theatrical.
Thunder groaned outside while candlelight flickered across the dining room, illuminating velvet curtains, silver dishes, and the massive candelabra Teddy insisted made “every meal feel like a vampire intervention.”
Tonight, Eddie had been suspiciously smug since five o’clock, you noticed immediately. Corvina noticed immediately. Teddy noticed immediately. Which meant all three of you spent most of dinner staring at him with increasing suspicion while he fought a grin behind his wine glass.
Finally, Teddy pointed his fork accusingly. “You’re hiding something.”
Eddie gasped dramatically. “What a horrible accusation.”
“You’ve been smirking for an hour,” Corvina added.
“You also called the garlic bread ‘historic,’” Teddy said. “That means something’s wrong.”
You smiled faintly from your seat at the head of the table. “Darling,” you said gently to Eddie, “are you planning a crime?”
Eddie looked delighted by the question. “No,” he answered proudly. “Something better.”
Then, with all the ceremony of a man revealing the crown jewels, Eddie reached into his jacket and slapped four tickets dramatically onto the table. Silence.
Teddy squinted. Then his eyes widened so violently you thought they might leave his skull.
“No fucking way.”
“Language,” you corrected softly.
“No FUCKING way.”
Corvina leaned forward slightly now, dark eyes narrowing in interest. Eddie sat back in his chair with unbearable smugness. “Iron Maiden,” he announced grandly. “Indianapolis. Front section.”
Teddy SHRIEKED, like actually shrieked. The sound echoed through the dining room while Eddie burst into laughter.
“Oh my God,” Teddy gasped, grabbing the tickets with trembling hands. “Dad—Dad, are you serious?!”
“Your old man still has connections, baby.”
Teddy launched out of his chair instantly.
You sighed knowingly. “Brace yourself, mon amour.”
A second later, Teddy practically tackled Eddie backward in a hug. “There he is,” Eddie wheezed dramatically as Teddy nearly crushed him. “My son. My flesh and blood.”
“You are the coolest person alive.”
“I know.”
Corvina, meanwhile, carefully picked up one of the tickets with much more restraint. But you noticed the tiny upward twitch at the corner of her mouth immediately.
“Dickinson is still performing?” she asked calmly.
Eddie clutched his chest. “That sounded almost excited.”
“It wasn’t.”
“She got the Munson concert gene,” Teddy informed you loudly.
“She absolutely did,” Eddie whispered emotionally. Corvina rolled her eyes, though there was the faintest flush creeping into her cheeks now. You watched your family fondly from your chair, chin resting against your hand.
This. This was your favorite thing.
Eddie glowing with happiness while the children inherited every loud, passionate, ridiculous piece of him without even realizing it. Teddy flopped back into his chair, grinning wildly.
“This is literally the greatest day of my life.”
Eddie pointed at him immediately. “That’s exactly what I said when your mother kissed me the first time.”
“You say that about everything Mom does,” Corvina muttered.
“Because your mother is extraordinary.”
You reached over and touched his hand gently, as Eddie looked at you like he’d been shot directly through the heart.
Then, Corvina cleared her throat, causing everyone to look at her immediately.
“…What,” she said flatly.
Eddie narrowed his eyes. “You’re about to ask for something.”
“I’m not.”
“You did the voice.”
Teddy gasped dramatically. “She DID do the voice.”
Corvina looked deeply regretful. “I hate all of you.”
You smiled softly. “What is it, little raven?”
A pause. Then, with visible reluctance: “…Could I possibly have one additional ticket?”
The room went silent, and Eddie blinked once. Then slowly lowered his wine glass.
“…For who?”
Corvina stared at her plate. “No one.”
“Corvina.”
Another pause.
“…Damien.”
Eddie’s entire body reacted as if he’d just been informed the government had finally collapsed.
“THE BOYFRIEND?”
“He is not—”
“The assistant quarterback?!” Teddy shouted.
“THE DEBATE CLUB ONE?” Eddie cried simultaneously.
Corvina groaned into her hands. You, meanwhile, were trying very hard not to smile.
“He likes Iron Maiden,” Corvina muttered.
Eddie looked genuinely betrayed. “The clean-cut child likes Maiden?”
“He listens to metal with me.”
Eddie stared at her for a long moment. Then suddenly leaned back in his chair, placing a hand dramatically over his heart. “Oh, my God.”
“What?”
“She likes him.”
“I do not.”
“She’s sharing music with him,” Eddie whispered hoarsely to you. “Baby, that’s intimate.”
Teddy looked horrified. “That’s like… sacred.”
“Exactly.”
Corvina looked ready to walk into traffic. You finally spoke, voice warm with amusement.
“Perhaps,” you said carefully, “she simply enjoys his company.”
Corvina nodded quickly. “Exactly.”
Eddie narrowed his eyes immediately. “Have you held hands?”
“Dad.”
“HAVE you?”
“No.” Too fast.
Teddy slammed both hands on the table. “THAT WAS A LIE.”
Corvina pointed at him. “You are dead to me.”
Eddie suddenly looked emotional again. “Oh, sweetheart,” he sighed dramatically, “your first love.”
“It’s not love!”
You stood then, gliding around the table toward your daughter. Corvina visibly braced herself for teasing. Instead, you simply smoothed a strand of dark hair behind her ear gently.
And very softly, you said: “If someone makes our little raven smile enough to frighten her this badly… we should like to know him.”
Corvina froze. Because despite all the drama and teasing, your family loved hard. Openly, and without shame, just like Eddie always had.
The house had long since gone quiet. Somewhere downstairs, the grandfather clock groaned past midnight while rain tapped softly against the windows of your bedroom. Eddie lay sprawled across your chest like an oversized cat, one arm wrapped tightly around your waist while you lazily played with his curls.
This had always been his favorite place to exist, right here, with you.
Even after all these years, he still sought you out instinctively. Every night, somehow ended the same way: his head in your lap, or tucked against your chest, or buried into your neck while he mumbled half-asleep nonsense against your skin. Tonight was no different.
“You know,” Eddie murmured sleepily, eyes closed, “I think Corvina gets scarier every day.”
You smiled softly, carefully winding one silver-threaded curl around your finger. “She is your daughter.”
“Exactly why I’m concerned.”
“You cried when she said she held his hand.”
“I did not cry.”
“You absolutely did.”
Eddie cracked one eye open. “I became emotional.”
“You gasped loud enough to frighten Teddy.”
“That was fatherly grief.”
Your laugh came soft and quiet in the dark. God, he loved that sound.
Eddie tilted his head slightly against you just to hear it again. Then your fingers paused suddenly in his curls, a tiny thing, barely noticeable. But Eddie felt it immediately.
“What?” he murmured.
You said nothing at first. Instead, your fingers carefully separated one curl from the rest, then another. Eddie finally looked up slightly, finding your expression softened by something achingly tender.
“My darling,” you whispered.
“Hm?”
You gently pulled something free: a silver strand, then another.
Eddie blinked once. “Oh,” he said.
There was no fear in his voice, just surprise. You held the strands delicately between your fingers, studying them beneath candlelight like they were precious threads of moonlight themselves.
Eddie suddenly looked sheepish. “Well,” he muttered, “guess I’m getting old.”
You looked almost offended by the statement. “Edward Munson,” you said softly, “you have survived.”
You slid from beneath him carefully, crossing toward the antique vanity near the window while Eddie watched you in sleepy confusion.
Then you reached for the little silver locket resting beside your jewelry tray, the one you wore nearly every day, etched with the letter ‘E’.
Eddie pushed himself upright slightly as you opened it carefully. Inside rested tiny fragments of your life together.
A pressed black rose petal from your wedding bouquet. A piece of the guitar pick Eddie used the first time he played guitar for you. A photograph so faded it barely showed two young people grinning in a cemetery beneath storm clouds.
Eddie went completely still.
You placed the silver strands gently beside them, like they were treasures. Then you closed the locket softly and climbed back into bed.
Eddie stared at you for a long moment after you settled beside him again. “…You kept all that?”
You looked genuinely puzzled. “Of course I did.”
“Baby, there’s literally a piece of an old guitar pick in there.”
“The broken corner because you were nervous while playing for me.”
His expression cracked instantly. “You remember that?”
“You dropped it three times before speaking to me,” you replied calmly. “You were adorable.”
Eddie let out a weak laugh, suddenly overwhelmed in the way only you could overwhelm him. Because no one had ever looked at the broken, embarrassing, vulnerable pieces of him and treated them like sacred things before you.
Your fingers slowly returned to his curls. “You know what I see,” you murmured softly, “when I look at these?”
Eddie shook his head once.
“A life.”
His eyes burned immediately, so you kissed his forehead gently.
“The silver only proves you stayed long enough to grow old with me,” you whispered.
And that nearly destroyed him. Eddie suddenly pulled himself over you completely, burying his face into your neck while holding you tight enough to make you laugh softly again.
“Jesus Christ,” he mumbled against your skin. “How are you real?”
You stroked your fingers through his curls carefully, silver strands and all. “I might ask you the same thing.”
“No, seriously,” Eddie groaned dramatically. “You put my gray hairs in a locket. That’s insane behavior.”
“You married me willingly.”
“I’d marry you in every lifetime.”
Your expression softened instantly. Eddie lifted his head, then just enough to look at you through the candlelight; older now, yes, lines at the corners of his eyes and silver threading through dark curls.
But still the same boy who fell hopelessly in love with a gothic girl in black lace all those years ago. Still yours, always yours.
“You know what the worst part is?” he murmured sleepily.
“What’s that, mon amour?”
“I still get nervous around you.”
You smiled. Then pulled him down into another kiss while rain whispered softly against the windows of your haunted little home.
AGH I HOPE YOU ALL LOVED ITTT:)))
Hell of a Summer pt.2 is currently in the works, GET EXCITEDDDD YUHHH
Right, so i love how I saw imma do something then completely forget about it or second guess myself but oh well guys. I have the true memory of an old woman so don't expect me to remember everything
Im also using dividers now 😛
So if I do have any marvel or at least Johnny Storm fans following me or see my stuff please let me know if you would like to see a Johnny Storm x blackwidow reader! Ive been dying to do it but know it'll be a series but hopefully wont be too bad long. Please let me know!!!
Anyhow, I said that I was actually coming on here to do something so here it is once more "Eddie Munson is the type of guy to...
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to take his sweet freaking time grocery shopping with you because he knows it pisses you off and you both have places to be together. When you call him out on it he's in the middle of deciding between Lucky Charms or Cheerios. He sends you a sharp look before saying a little too loud "DONT RUSH ME, IT MAKES ME NERVOUS AND I CAN'T DECIDE." Which in the end he ends up winning looking smug and with a whole new candy stash you let him get.
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to steal things and give them to you. (I dont condone in stealing!) But Eddie has this thing that if he see's something that he'll think you'll like he's gonna try to snag it. But the moment you found out he stole it? You're dragging him back to the shop by the ear and making him pay or return it. Which later you do thank him for being thoughtful. But Eddie also loves to steal things out of your room too all the time. No Hoodie, good black shirt or band tee is safe. You do the same to him btw.
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to squish your nose against his while he's kissing you. He doesn't care about space or if its just in the way, he loves how your's feels against his when he kisses you and he most definitely loves how it looks squished. He's just weird like that but he really loves your face.
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to be a type C person. Okay when I say this I mean Eddie could be the type of guy to be a morning person but a night owl. He could sleep in until 3 p.m. or wake up at 7 a.m. and ready to go. He could be the most prepared person out of everyone in the group then the next day he might not have a single thing on his person. You never know with him. But he does well managing.
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to be an absolute night owl though. You could be staying the night with him and already asleep in his bed and he could be sneaking out of his room to find him a midnight (3 a.m.) snack. When you go to feel for him on the bed obviously you panic and get up to look for him, there he is in all of his glory, standing there at the stove boiling water for the ramen he was making. He looked like a deer caught in headlights with a cigarette between his lips.
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to decide on a random Tuesday night that he wants a nose piercing. So he drags you to a shady parlor he had been ogling lately, at 11 at night just for him to whine and try not to mess with the new piercing in the passengers seat on the way home. He pouts too when you dont hold his hand when you had already told him "No" on leaving and getting the piercing. Which you had to pick him up because he almost passed out. Classic Munson move.
Eddie Munson is the type of guy to bring you everywhere with him. When I say everywhere I mean EVERYWHERE. If he needs to go to the DMV? Your sitting there right beside him in the waiting room holding his hand while the other flips through a magazine sitting on your lap. He needs a new part for his van? Both of you are making a run to the auto-parts store while he's still covered in grease from his van. He's taking a shower by himself but needs to talk to you still? You are sitting in the floor beside the tub while you talk to him about your day.
So four years ago today we where introduced to this goober. Gosh how i miss season four before they killed off our man.
I miss this goob so bad its not even funny anymore. But I will confess when I saw is grave for the first time in season 5 I did cry, then I cried again at the small flashback and then I cried again every time they brought him up too.... anyways. I miss him. Let me mourn my dead husband.
So as always I get small random ideas that conspire into something bigger. Steve Harrington had been on my mind here lately as well as A LOT of Gator Tillman. Don't ask because I dont know.
But i had see something the other day on tt about the intimacy of learning someone slowly, every part of them and not just expecting to already know it. Truthfully I have struggled with this because unfortunately a lot of people that I have became "friends" with really have zero clue about me or where ive even came from.
I wanted to try this with Steve of course because I feel like that man knows how to get deep and doesn't take vulnerability for granted like how he used to (not saying that Eddie would take it for granted ofc)
So please lmk what you all think please!!
You had been living in Hawkins for a few years now. Moving to Hawkins was never ideal because it was in the middle of nowhere, a run down town and you knew no one there. Your parents thought it was a great idea though, kudos to them or whatever.
But making friends wasn't surprisingly hard really. You had gotten a job, spend your last year of high school there at Hawkins and only gotten close to a few select people. One of those people being the one and only Robin Buckley.
Now of couse there was nothing wrong with being friends with Robin. Robin just loved to talk. She loved to talk a lot and sometimes that got in the way of things. You knew almost everything about her by the third month of you living in Hawkins. She just let everything spill about her and her whole life because she trusted you, having that trust did feel good though.
It didn't take long to fall into a comfortable routine in Hawkins. You woke up, did your morning routine, slipped into your clothes, barely ate breakfast then drove to the radio station where you worked at with Robin and her best friend Steve Harrington.
Well of course you knew Steve. Who didn't know Steve Harrington? Robin had told you all of his lore basically and how he had became her best friend and the babysitter of the bunch. He was definitely different from all of them and everyone you had met in the year or so you had been there. You had nothing held against the man. He had been kind and sincere to you, plus he always noticed things about you. And a lot more than what you had noticed he did.
Today of course, a day out of all days, it was just going to be one of those days. You could feel it in your bones.
Your mind had been churning on stuff from the past and overthinking a lot of stuff that had happened to you. And truthfully, you didn't know when was the last time you had spilled your guts out to someone without them interrupting or changing the topic because they where uncomfortable. It was going to be one of those quiet days.
Your morning routine went by a lot slower than it should have just because you couldn't get your mind in the right places. Which all of that had resulted in you being late for work and skipping breakfast entirely.
You walked in mid live with Robin talking away as usual on the radio station with Steve in behind her doing the regular sound effects and keeping up with her. Truth be told you where already fighting every urge to go hide away in the basement just to get a breather.
Steve had made brief eye contact with you on your way in. He clocked the mood you where in already in three seconds flat which did cause him to accidentally delay one of Robin's sound effects, but he didn't care.
Once the live was over the two stepped out of the booth and Robin made her way to you. Robin didn't notice the quietness from you yet but she had already started throwing questions left and right to you about todays line-up of music. Not that you knew of course since it was more of a her and Steve thing. Speaking of the man, he was making you a coffee just a few feet away.
Steve picked up on you and your mood and asked Robin to go look for a non-existent sweater in his car he had left behind earlier. Once he got you alone he handed you the coffee he had made for you.
"Hey." He said quietly, looking at you. "You don't have to talk but im here if you need me, okay?"
Your throat only tightened but you nodded and gave him a small smile in response. He could feel it. Steve had been getting to know you for a year now, normally he couldn't just do this with anyone but this was just definitely proving some point to him. He definitely cared alright?
You let the day go on by with that. Not that you ignored Steve's offer, It was just hard to get him alone with Robin around and especially with trying to explain yourself and why you had become so worked up. Nothing against Robin of course, Steve just seemed a bit more open.
Once the evening started to roll on by and the line-up had been set for the night Vickie had came by to pick up Robin, which eventually left you and Harrington together.
So say you beat around the bush for a good thirty or fourty minutes may have been a bit of an understatement. Maybe an hour before you worked up the courage.
You approached Steve near the shelf where he had been organizing vinyls for the past 2 hours that Robin had messed up over time. His back was turned to you and all you could hear from him was a small soft hum from under his breath.
You approached him slowly, quietly, then grabbed a vinyl off the shelf and looked over it. He watched you from the corner of his eye but didn't speak just yet. You sighed then cleared your throat.
"Hey." You murmured, not looking at him but at the vinyl. "So what you said earlier?.... I think im going to take you up on that offer now." You stated quietly.
He nodded his head and slowed down on his vinyl sorting to show that he was listening to you, not wanting to interrupt.
"Sorry about being in a bad or weird mood today." You murmured, he raised an eyebrow. "You have nothing to apologize about. Everyone has days, alright?"
"Yeah but I just feel weird about it, Steve. Ive been too quiet today and honestly probably off-putting. I honestly think I made Robin mad at me today."
As if Steve didn't think he could be more confused here he was.
"Robin being mad at you? Are you sure we are thinking of the same Robin?" He joked softly before getting serious again. "Robin is a host unto herself. I promise she's not mad at you in any type of way alright? She's just not used to the quiet. So she talks to fill in the emptiness."
Steve paused for a minute before completely stopping his organizing.
"I think you overthinking too much." He stated, turning to you and leaning against the shelf.
"Thats what today's been all about."
"Wanna talk about it?" He offers quietly.
"I just- gosh i dont know, Harrington. Somethings been bothering me and now that I feel like that ill say it outloud its gonna sound stupid."
He shook his head and smiled. "Trust me, its not gonna sound stupid. If you wanna hear stupid ill let you listen to Dustin talk about his DnD junk for two hours straight then backtrack on multiple things. You can say it."
That bit makes you smile a little before you speak again.
"I feel like no one knows me anymore. I know it doesn't make sense but thats what i think. Not just from moving a way from everything that I know but its the people around me, Harrington. Like everyone wants to be friends with me but not to get to know me properly." You admit to him, leaning back against the shelf with him.
Steve doesn't interrupt. He just listens while you continue.
"Like, no one knows that I cant stand the sound of chewing, especially open mouth chewing." You threw out there, getting a little frustrated. Steve kept listening and watching, he liked seeing this side of you. But he already knew this, you didn't even have to say it.
"No one even knows that I didn't start wearing makeup until I was like 15, Steve. Or maybe that ive always hated school so much so that now that im graduated I finally feel free. It sounds stupid but its honest." You spit out.
Steve's quiet for a long moment before looking up at you.
"If no one else will listen I will. I like hearing this stuff. You can only hesr the same story from Robin twelve different times before getting annoyed or the story getting old. I like hearing this stuff from you."
You could only feel a little blush creep across your face from that.
He let you talk for God knows how long because you most definitely needed it. Steve needed to hear you talk about yourself, needed to know more and yeah it did feel really good to let your gaurd down around Steve because you knew he cared for you. But boy did you know that that was creating a seed in you that would only grow deeper and deeper just for Steve Harrington.
